Hi pal. Your content is gold. Do you recommend we publish coloured paperback on our high content books that have images ? But please this will reduce profit like you rightly said in the video. Do you make all your books that have images colored books to stand out.
Hi Barry, awesome video as always! I'm curious at what point do you decide if a book that isn't selling well is just missing a few good optimizations, or if just isn't good enough and it's time to move on from it and start a new project?
That's a great question that unfortunately I can't answer with certainty because your success is based on a lot of different things just like I talked about in the video. You will need to figure out why it's not selling well which can be difficult if you're new to publishing. The problem can be your niche or your cover or your reviews or your indexing or your ads or your title and subtitle or your A plus content etc. It's very difficult to give you a solid answer to your question :)
Good video, doing KDP high content since 1 and a half year, living on this now... I can see you know your thing... What I noticed is that I can produce books that stays for a while on a good BSR such as 15-20-30k BSR but then after few months the demand dries up and the books gets steady sales but not much, what might be the reason?
That's a really good question but unfortunately I don't have enough information to give you a good answer. It can be many different things that are affecting your books rank but I can't pinpoint exactly the problem unless I look at your book :)
Last 2 Months, One of my coloring book gave me 100+91=191$ This month that book not performing well-- this month approx 25/30$ what is the reason ? Please help.
Your book may be bringing less and less money each month for many reasons. Unfortunately I can't predict how your book can improve without taking a look at it first :)

That's a really good question. Personally I use 99designs. I run a blind contest, I gather around 20-30 different covers and based on the ones I pick, I ask the designers for adjustments that I would like on the cover and pick the best one. That way I know for a fact that my cover is different because I added my touch as well :)
Great question Nia. I like to see how many of my competitors are actually making a good amount of sales because the goal is to make a better book than them. A more valuable book than them. So if there are three books selling really well, it will be easy to compete with three people and take over a niche. If there are 20 different books that are selling really well, it might be slightly harder to create a unique book because the supply is high. But it all depends on if you can make a better book than everyone else in the niche because you want to be an authority figure not a copycat :)

Of course. Everyone needs to start from somewhere. If I didn't create books that didn't sell I wouldn't be able to create books that do sell :)

I was thinking of niching down within the self-help industry, to women, any ideas?
Sounds like an interesting niche but personally I would look into going through in depth research before making a decision :)

Great question. I find that a plus content increases your conversion rate and amazon promotes books with a high conversion rate :)
