I'm really enjoying the series so far! I started playing valheim like 2 days ago with a group of friends, more experienced ones They offer to start a new world for me to try and learn the basics... but yeah, those knuckleheads are just way too hasty! I barely was getting used to the antler pickaxe, next thing I know, I already had some Fenrir Clothes with troll armor and was helping them excavagen the goddamn MOUNTAINS. Love my group of friends, theyr are tight, glad to be with those guys, but I barely had time to learn how broze was made and what a swamp even is before they pull me to the mountains LMAO. Like, I don't mind, but going this fast is making me not get used to a role I want to do in the group, like we already have a builder, a farmer, a blacksmith... And we're going so far I just feel drag, I want to be of use damnit.
So you go in the stores and beg for stuff from employees? What is the point of these videos?

Love your video dude, my favourite thing to do in Valheim is build.
Thanks, man. Me too! I still haven't seen a better build system in another survival game yet. Valheim nailed it.
I've been enjoying it but I think they need to deal with RESPAWNS. I don't mind there being a lot of enemies and an insane difficulty, but once I conquer an area, why is it that less than 1 minute later I'm swarmed again? Respawns I think are the issue now. It's just not fun when I can never actually explore or go anywhere because I spend the whole in-game day just fighting the same enemies over and over again. Idk what do you think?

Biggest Miss in that dungeon: take All the yellow mushrooms on the way out. 2nd big miss: place a fire just inside entrance to redo rest buff. Need to drop a fire Often generally, to dry off & refresh buff. 3rd is a choice. Club enjoyers might like using Stagbreaker to bash bone piles thru closed doors. They are also handy for finding treasure in the stone ship formations back in Meadows, and even breaking the chest without digging. Lol.

Do wolves follow you around once you tame them
If you interact with them, it will put them on follow. Interacting with them again will break the follow command and they will roam that area
@@mickygriggs yep, this ^^ You can click on them to follow you, take them to an area you want them to protect, and then click on them again and they will guard that area from any and all non-friendly mobs. When breaking a spawner I like to use my axe and fight the mobs while striking the spawner, usually you can break it very quickly before more spawn too

Sorry for the delayed response. Are you on Xbox or PC? Also, are you in a private game or on a server?
@@gamestar.nation no worries! Someone taught me about the commands and I was able to reset my spawn point 😭 I was seriously worried I would be stuck in the mountains with no supplies
@@isseanlawson4895 glad you got it 👍
@@isseanlawson4895Glad it got sorted out. But here is a PSA for anyone with similar situation: This can be solved without commands: if you destroy your bed in the mountain outpost, that should also reset your spawn. Just run out but naked afterwards so you don't lose more items to graves. Also preparation is key. Getting a 2nd set current level armor can be extremely tedious so not recommended. But portals are not that expensive by the mountains. If you completed Bonemass, it's a good chance you found surtling geyser. Turning that to a farm is really low effort. Just dig around so they spawn in kne-deep-water. Put a small outpost near. And occasionally check in. Given how surtling cores are not needed in stone/wood quantities, no need for elaborate AFK contraptions like Greydwarves. Just passing by among bigger tasks in 0.5-2 hours will yield a steady supply of cores. Good for portal hubs and industrial level smelting arrays.

Thanks! I really appreciate hearing that! I’m currently distracted by all the new games from the Steam Summer Sale, but Plains guide will be coming soon! Thanks again 👍
When Mistland released the difficulty isnt as bad as Ashland. I get it Ashland meant to be harder than prev. Biomes (Mistland), but when Mistland came out before patch nerf is still tolerable than Ashland. As for my opinion whether flametal sinking or not, Im agree and disagree.
To me the biggest BS about Ashlands is how all the mobs are immune to lava. You can't even build stone structures above lava (not touching the lava) because they immediately get destroyed.. And yet we're expected to believe the mobs can just casually wade thru lava and don't get incinerated? Also there is a lot of these ultra-dark nights where you literally can't see shit. But unfortunately not being able to see is a bit of a theme in this game.
💯
Change your graphical settings or wear a headlamp/bring torches with you might help a bit
Big like to this video. Very few content creators know how to make a good noob guide. Oftentimes it seems like they are more interested in flexing their knowledge of niche or overly-specific details beyond the need-to-know of fresh beginners, than they are of stating and restating the fundamentals until it sticks. Clearly you put thought into the mind of a new player, and executed the video in a highly effective show-not-tell way. Well done!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words! 👍
algorythm
hey my dude comment for the algorythm
7:13 try and be careful of the magic you use in Ashlands. ... Charred mobs have 75% resist fire. Asksvins, Morgens and Valkyries 50% to fire. Use lightning (Valkyries are weak to it) or ice (Voltures are weak to it), on other mobs they do normal damage.
Really? In my experience flame magic (weirdly) has been doing a ton of damage to them
Once I get the lightning magic I'll give it a try!
@@tBOGGgle Mmh in fact since I've posted this I have been able to make extended tests and, you are right, fire still does decent damage, especially because at long range it still packs a good boom. However in close quarters, favor ice or lightning, you'll be positively surprised about the mana-to-damage ratio ;)
Why they wont do it dependable ob player numbers? We play as four and it is perfect. It is hard but it is good for teamwork. Mage shields, tank with parry, ranger and dd with dual axes
I beat the Ashlands on PTB and while hard, was doable. What I wished they would have done was reduce the natural spawn rate in the zone and greatly increase destroyable spawners in the zone that way you conquer your way through the zone and get to harness the resources in the area once you do. Also, people really just need to learn how to use the mobs against themselves and not just bash their faces against each and every mob.
I completely agree! I think the charred spawners should be the control switch for charred area spawning. More spawners throughout the zone, but local charred spawn rates drastically cut as the spawners are destroyed. It would really give players a sense of accomplishment. I feel more zones should be interactive like this too. Like the mist in mistlands should vanish once a local dungeon is destroyed OR, better yet, all mist is gone once the queen is dead.
yeah for me the most annoying thing is it feels like I do when I go to the ashlands is fighting mobs and not resource gathering or exploring
💯
Personally playing with 1-3 other players this concerns me. The game has always been most balanced for playing with 2-4 people. But if you have 2 bonemass powers, you can steamroll most content except Mist and Ashlands. I like how you have to manage your surroundings a little or else things snowball. I welcome the lowered max spawns, and some minor tweaks, bc solo play does seem far fetched, but most people are not using the tools provided, tamed askvins are OP, nevermind if u get a * one, weather shields to stop fireballs when crossing lava, trollstaff to aid in fortress clearing, make outposts with the infinite grausten the biome shoves in your inventory. Don't see the point of the spires not sinking, it was a really creative way to scale resources to the # of players playing and doing this won't really make them easier.
Also sinking metal makes mining power of queen really useful
@@inferno9103 that’s true!
@@inferno9103 That was probably the original idea. I wonder if they'll change the queen's power now that they no longer sink?
