You can one shot him with a good sword and high swordskill. His spawn animation is bugged/glitched, so he cannot aggro when doing his spawn animation. Aggro determins detection, so when he rises from the ground, you have a small window where you are guaranteed a "sneak crit" on your first hit. You can rush in during his spawning and hit him with the secondary special attack, he can easily be killed with one hit. He has 800hp and no armor but with a guaranteed 3x critical sneak hit you can do over 1000+ dmg in one hit if timed correctly. If you miss the crit, you will still get alot of free hits in before the spawn animation is over, giving you a much easier fight should you fail your assasination. I find it is easiest to do, if you jump at him trying to land the first hit mid air, close to the center of the body/stem.
Something very important is the spawning places, because at first glance you will never think that there is such a thing, even if the swamp area is vast. If it spawns only in lakes with an average size of not less than 30 meters. If you see one of them , then keep that place because it will always spawn in it after you kill earlier
I've killed him more than 20 times and every time I go in the direction of the fire he disappears. And I found that if you are not at a distance of up to 50 meters, which is not much compared to its size, he will let you go and try to return to his place.
Getting serious Stranger Things vibes from that fella. I can see why a lot of players didn't even know it existed. I see you are leveling up on the editing too which is AWESOME!
Those guys are pretty easy if you have a good shield. They are more bark than bite. Pun intended. Just parry his attacks, and hit then him with either an axe, or a sword.
Oh man, the first time I saw one I was frozen in my tracks. It wasn’t until it swung it’s huge tree branch arm at me and knocked down the tree next to me that I snapped out of it and hauled @ss out of there!
@@gamestar.nation Well, it scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it on my second playthrough which I'm still doing started a week ago or so, I had to joke about it after I changed my underwear... I do more of a run to a base on top of a crypt I built, or climb a tree with ladders and then shoot fire arrows, between counting 3 Mississippis... it has a LOT of health... It cannot reach you like 6 walls high above the ground... my base on top of a crypt was 3 walls high and I made a terrace around the roof and I shot from there once, and it swiped and stomped but it couldn't hit me... ...and it's not "rare" at all in the swamps... not fun, imo... but gives you a sense of accomplishment when you don't meet one and even when you do... I'm gonna try the build a dirt wall column as high as I can and see if that is high enough to not die, because I'm almost ready to give up on getting a Draugr Elite trophy and the Iron Sledge, and just kill Mr. Vomit with 2 Stagbreakers and a platform of dirt walls so I can move as he pukes at me and sledge away... Enjoy, and thanks for the info of the video...
@@Logically_Fallacious Are you referring to Bonemass? If so, make a treehouse way up in one of the unbreakable ancient trees and then just pluck away at him with arrows (preferably frost arrows). Oh and bring the correct workbench for repairs
@@gamestar.nation My first playthru, I did that and for some reason the sob kept running away (!) I would shoot him, once or twice and then he'd run away, look lost and come back... sometimes going so far away, he'd go out of draw distance! Maybe my treehouse was way too high up? Idk. Maybe Bonemass' AI has been updated? Idk... if I fail the fast sledgehammer way, I'll make my tree house again, but just high enough he can't damage it, or I'll make levels I can use to find the "sweet spot height."

Thank you so much for taking the time to share that tip!! That’s awesome advice! 👍

Seeing the Abomination vs the Troll at the end really gave me a perspective of what I'm about to get into. Yikes!
Yea they can be a real threat!
Talk about Fenring & Cultist, there are two of them I haven't seen yet. I hope you can give us a glimpse of them
I haven't even ventured in to new mountain territory since the update. I guess it's about time I do!
@@gamestar.nation I heard they are powerful but the rewards are satisfying

I can definitely see some Stranger Things influence in it, for sure. Thanks!!
Whoa! Tree spider.
THAT is just a lil guy?! Also, that mace is awesome.
Thanks! I made it myself 😉
I just shoot a billion fire arrows and used the trees to block his pathing.
...a perfect strategy!

😂 “more bark than bite”
Silver also does bonus damage to this abomination.
Thanks for the tip!
Today i found my first abom. and it scared me way too much cause i have never Seen something like this before

You say "abomination," I say, "just misunderstood."
Lol, It’s all in the eye of the beholder I guess 🤷♂️

Obmination vs troll
my money's on the abomination 😉
@@gamestar.nation I lured one into a troll and the troll took it down without breaking a sweat.
@@donhoverson6348 Really? Cool! Do you recall if it was swinging a tree or bare-fisted?
@@gamestar.nation Tree branch I think. I arranged a rematch and this time the abomination eked out a victory but they are very closely matched.
