It's been a while. I've been rehabilitating my shoulder and fishing, a lot! I need your guy's help picking new arrows for this year's hunting season. Comment what carbon arrows you want to see me shoot this year and whatever seems to be the most popular I will tune up for this year's hunt. Thank you for watching!
Rock climbing harness for bow hunters?
Переглядів 17 тис.2 роки тому
I've been using a rock climbing harness while bow hunting for the last 6 years. I like how lightweight they are when walking into my stand. This one stays tight and doesn't ride down like some saddles tend to. It's very comfortable, and I feel much more confident leaning away from the tree to take a shot at a deer when using it. #bowhunting #mobilestand #traditionalarchery When you click on lin...

Comparing Hoyt's Satori recurve to any custom bow maker. There's advantages to waiting for a custom build, but a Satori can be in your hands in less than a week. I consider the Satori to be a great bow for those that like to experiment or tinker with their bow. Upgraded limbs, grips, and parts are readily available now. I finally upgraded my mobile hunting setup! (Lwcg .5 mesh seat)
Переглядів 4,9 тис.2 роки тому
I got my mesh seat in the mail today. I installed it on my .5 and I think this stand is perfected now. I don't think I'll be buying another stand for a few years. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for watching.
Testing arrow noise at 20 yards(1 is loud!)
Переглядів 5 тис.2 роки тому
After reading a conversation about quiet bows on a forum, I thought about what a deer hears when we shoot an arrow at it. I wanted to find out which type of feather fletching is the quietest and which I should avoid. There is one type of fletching I will never hunt with after doing this test. #traditionalarchery #blackwidowbows #bowhunting

I'm not affiliated with any of these companies I just love their products. The stand is a LWCG .5, the sticks are LWCG double steps, and the other gear is from backwoods mobile gear. Thanks for watching. #mobile hunting setup #bowhunting #mobilestand

This week, I decided to try bareshaft tuning a 340 spine black eagle vintage and a 600 spine Easton arrow through my recurve. I knew if I could get both of these to fly that anything in between would also work. I hope this video helps you see that there are multiple options you can make work with your setup. Your results will vary because different draw lengths and weight will give different re...

Mobile hunting stands for 2022 (lone wolf custom gear .5 vs M7 microlite)
Hi! What configuration are you using for it? I was watching this with a lot of noise around me and might have missed something. Split finger or 3 under? Tiller? Np height (please sepcify to bottom of arrow or top)? Do you bareshaft tune? How is the noise? I have the 21" + 55lb mediums and seems a bit noisy Not much, but still. I got the velcro backing and the beaver puffs. Apart from that - THE BOW IS AN EXCELLENT SHOOTER!
Wow one awesome set up. Hope you got many deer with it
Nice BOW BRO
The ranking of velocity matched the ranking of dw perfectly. The moral of the story is more dw equals higher velocity.
@@CampfireKodiak uukha 41.7 lbs - 166 fps and 164 fps with 510 gr and 630 gr arrows. Das 41.7 lbs- 159 / 158. So moral of the story is you can get better performance from better limbs pulling the same weight. Up to each individual to decide if the cost is worth the extra speed and smoother draw feel.
@@hooversoutdoors I went by 5:56 OK then let's use 29" and heavy arrow. Same results. Hoyt 45.2lb 165fps BW 44.3lb 165fps Uukha 41.7lb 164fps Das 41.7lb 158fps
Yes Sir, nailed it.
was this a .5 seat, .75 or 1.0 on your .5 stand ?
Whats the long-term review?
All I can say is he likes to talk
@fredcarter7003 do you prefer sign language?
New subscriber. Been running the m7 and m100u but keep thinking about the .5 to save a few pounds. My biggest concern is whether the seat will bw comfortable. Love my m7 seat. So, after a year or so of use, is the extra money for the .5 worth it?
Not sure what I’m doing wrong but can’t get mine sharp using the KME
I'm thinking about going traditional after 20 plus years in compound. This bow looks great!
Wow
I got a dozen blemished .204 traditional shafts. I thought they would be cosmetic blemishes, but I believe they are straightness, diameter and weight blemishes. Most wobble I've seen on my arrow spinner. Been building arrows for compounds for years, just went down the trad rabbit hole and saw these as a deal. Have you had consistent flight with broadheads?
Im looking at an Oakridge shade Umber diamond wood riser matched up with old mountain panther birds eye maple clear glass bamboo carbon limbs, should look nice!! I just bought these limbs from alternative archery, waiting on the riser now!!!
I can't tell the difference between parabolic and shield cut listening to this video. If the shield is louder it's not by enough to make a difference on game.
I really like how you use lineman rope and transitioned it to safety. That’s really cool and minimizes amount of items!
Not any more on the 3 days. Standard wait time is a month or more.
@@chuckyoung4706 from the seller I suggested?
Do you have very much finger pinch with that bow?
Easton axis 400 spine. Way to go!!🤘
How do you like the Quiver, is that the 1 or 2 piece?
Smoked eem ol son
You sold me on the bow and limbs, I found some used limbs for 200 nocked off, I’m guessing your t-strings are 56” ??? Love your videos very informative!
I wanted some really great bright fletching. I used "blaze green". They were great, but I couldn't get near any deer. At the end of the season I discovered that White Tails see very well in the ultra violet spectrum and when I hit these with black light, unlike standard colors, these lit up like search lights!😟
Do you still hunt with your black widow or are you using the satori for your main bow?
Satori full time now, I sold my black widow
ua-cam.com/video/RRRnt1Zk7UI/v-deo.htmlsi=neACnb6HT6wCF84a If you dont do nothing else, keep that back locked in bro.
Why 7 yards?
Yup, blaze orange can really spook deer since they see well in the ultra violet spectrum.
My limbs are 50#
I have this exact set up it’s sweet
got somthin' wrong with yer lower lip there old boy!
Luv your videos but haven’t seen anything new in quite a while thought. Because of your videos I’ve purchased a satori knockoff until I can find the right deal on a real one. However I feel even though I luv nothing more then a custom wood bow I feel the feel of the weight/grip/versatility of an ILF is gonna be key to me shooting better. I have a basic wooden recurve currently and find it to light even with quiver full of arrows. Besides being able to change the limbs simple and quick to suit your needs is a huge Bennie. We are required to have #35 min in my state and my recurve is currently pulling #47 so #35 would be great for turkey but would like #50+ for moose and u stringing and snapping different limbs on would be great compared to buying new bow!!!
GREAT GROUP! I really like watching arrows in flight so I fletched my arrows with a Very bright chartreuse feathers. They really were bright. Throughout the season I kept seeing big white tails waving bye-bye even though I was using excellent ASAT camouflage. Then, I remembered that Whitetail Deer see well in the UV spectrum. So, I put samples of different fletched arrows in a closet, screwed in a UV bulb, and threw the switch. All colors became drab except the Bright Chartreuse which lit up like a Christmas tree!! 😱
How do you adjust the tiller? I just picked one up but there is no info on how to adjust even though it came with the wrench and allens. Stock measurements for I'm getting a reversed tiller. (bottom limb longer till than top)
i asked a huntig bow specialist (dealer in Switzerland) about this cheap riser brand, his answer ? avoid choose white feather riser for just 40€ more and you will have no building problems
What string material are you using fast flight or dacron? And flemish or endless loop with that limb set up? I reached out to TTT strings and not sure which ones to pick with my gobi limbs
Very nice Bow, What is the Riser material on that bow?
Great video! I just purchased this riser. Do you know what kind of wood is used in the riser? How has the riser held up for you? Any problems? Thanks
I had the same set up and arrows on 2 Satori bows and 2 Black Widow bows. I didn't chronograph them, but after shooting them I couldn't see any difference in performance and feel.
I have 2 Satori bows. I think I'm gonna get a set of uukha limbs.
Thats dang good bud. I would call it READY !
What lengths did they each end up at and what's your draw length? Thanks for the video.
Nice Video, always enjoy them. I switched to trad vanes this season. Harvested 3 does, 2 nice racks, 2 pigs and a 6x5 elk this season all on hard hunted public with my #75lb carbon widow PCH. 2 of the deer were on alert and one I had to stop. I video all my hunts, used to video for Louisiana Sportsman. Many dozens of old videos of deer and pigs ducking hard as the arrow approached left me often very frustrated, yet this season the animals pretty much stood in place or hardly moved until the arrow got there but I was blessed with a lot of closer shots this season. I've been very impressed and the fact that mud wipes off when I fall and no worries with rain and wet feathers which is often the case in Louisiana and Colorado hunts has me sold. Blew through a lot animals and they are fairly durable though a tad difficult to glue perfectly. 4x 2.7 inch for me. My buddies 3 inch banana cuts were always more quiet than my shield cut I used to use. I agree those carbon widows are so quiet. I have over a dozen recurves and nothing comes close to as quiet for me. Got a new shorter carbon one getting built now. Also got a "silent but deadly" string on the widow. Still feathers are downright a cooler more traditional look imo.
Sounds like you had a great season! Thanks for watching
Ilf bows are contraptions.
Alrighty
For the rithm
Are you still using this bow? Same arrow setup? or are you using heavier tips? I'd love to hear how this bow has done over time. Also, I live in the north, so I'd be interested in how well this bow does in colder temps, 0-30 F? Thanks!
I gave this bow away to my nephew to get him into archery. I'm from Florida so I cannot give an honest review of the colder temp performance!
choke on the tobaco ,,haha make ya shot better
Great looking mobile set up!! How are your aiders attached to the sticks, are they sewn into the steps?
Mine are sewn in!
@@hooversoutdoors did you sew them in your self or did Backwoods Mobile Gear sew them in for you?
@chadgoebel7476 shipped sticks directly to bwmg, and they took care of it!
It’s not 200 dollars cheaper on the link or am I mistaken?
It looks like the price has went up in the last couple months. Keep checking, I've seen them as low as 699$ on there.
After that first shot my mind immediately went to “just shy of the recliner “ I need an indoor range 😂
Updated review? Im hung up with adding almost 2 more pounds on a stand that is purchase for lightweight.
"O" for open (aka D for dead), gotta double back that buckle so it looks like a "C" for closed.
Correct, That's how I wear it on stand.
