I have a problem, the radio won't work with a black screen, previously it was still working... can anyone provide a solution?

Thank You for showing that I wish I'd have found this video 6 months ago! I had a President AR 44 CB with the exact same problem but I couldn't fix it because I didn't know how to do it and before I could take it to a CB shop to get it fixed I had it in my Camper Trailer which was stolen out of my drive way so I lost that plus a few other things.

I have the exact same one but with Abbree branding ... Abbree AR-2520 w/gps ... so I would say it's a mass brand radio and not Motorola or Abbree at all

i have the superstar 360fm with the uniden PB010AB chassis which is the same as the cobra 148 gtl dx and it can pull out weaker stations better than my £2000 hf radio and for a radio that's now 43 years old that's amazing and I'll never part with it.

I miss my TS-830 on the bench. I've owned 4 of them. My need the Band waffers cleaned, and the board screws loosened and retightened, and or add the star washers under them. The VFO tends to drift a bit. I have 2 TS-530's as well, a TS-930, TS-130, and a TS-50. I should have never parted with the station accessories. I even had the Scope, but I don't recall ever using it. N9XFX

It’s the mb8719 pll board. I have exactly one like that and the earlier Grant D858 pll board, w/ only 3 push buttons(CB/PA, NB on/off and LOCAL/DX) both are FCC’s🙂. There your test radio on 0.55secs, love those two Grants!❤🙂

I would pull it out and use it! I found a midland 77-857 cb at my local flea market, it had been used but still had the original C.W Mcall convoy box and everything that came with it, the mic holder & screws was still in the plastic, i gave 35 bucks for it and it works very well. Good find.

Leave it stock, and sell it to me (please).

Sell as is, if I had this radio I would just do a cap upgrade and keep it stock as it is.

Tough one to answer, it always can be checked in future. However it can never be reversed once taken out. Maybe the only concern if never put into use, are the electrolytic capacitors. If the intention is to ever operate the CB.

Are the components inside just as good as the SHARP , ? I haven't got a Panasonic yet but I would assume their inside quality is similar ? The Panasonic looks heaps better on the outside

I remember that radio, but not in the base station configuration. If I recall, those radios were usually mounted above the driver, in the middle, near the rear vision mirror. Seems like U.S. truck drivers liked that configuration, and worked both side drive. That's why the microphone socket was at the back of the radio, no sharp bends and it hung down at a reasonable angle.

What is the magic formula for reversing repeater input direction? I showed 145.390 for output, held down 1 on mic keypad, input rptr input freq of 144.790. Now shows 144.790 as receive (output) and 145.390 as transmit (input ) freq. The opposite of what is needed. This is one peculiar transceiver. The manual is worse than awful.

2 questions, where does one download the programming software? And, does this radio not display the repeater input frequency when keying the microphone? Any help would be appreciated.
