- Gi day viewers, this is the radio that started it all, The original PLL 858 board. Its the first generation board of what was to become the Grandfather of all radios. This board made by the President company which went on to become Uniden and the rest as they say, is history. Lets take a look at the radio as I will do a follow up on the different boards in the next video.
I'm amazed at how you keep finding these treasures ... Thanks for sharing.
Nice Radio. I have the 23. I use it as an alarm clock that goes off just as eastern states skip is coming in. Joy to listen to, and to wake up to.
One might try gently pulling the SET stem as it's turned to make changes. 👌👍✌️😉🤠
Beautiful radio. 👍
Really nice radio there my friend, Cheers!
clock probably works on AC power
i think that is the 2nd version of the 858 -the 1st is the one with the analog 40 ch dial
...you said Gladiator
oops
@@vkradio1656 I went to eBay after I heard you said gladiator. There is a 23 ch that looks super clean for 175 + 25 shipping. I really had to fight my finger from clicking the buy button.
