The representative mentioned that if you lose your job before your arrival, they may cancel your reservation or charge you the full nightly rate. Could you clarify the process? At any point, were you asked to provide any confidential information, such as your employment details, or were they required to run your credit or verify your employment status? Additionally, did they stick to the promised 2-hour time frame, or did they try to keep you longer? How did you handle that situation? Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you experimented with the Wise card? I don't believe they refund ATM fees, but they have very low fees to send money, use the card as a debit card, and you can also hold converted currencies in your account as that currency (and you can buy/sell them when you want, not just when you are in that country). They even pay decent interest in several currencies if you opt-in to get it.

I had to order a new card because I recently got married and my husband wants me to change me name on everything and on all my credit cards…..Apple also sent me a cardboard envelope to put my old Apple Card in and send it to them to recycle it…but I kinda don’t trust it bcz Apple Card’s can be detected by any iPhone nearby just how it detects AirTags….when I first got my Apple Card, my phone was in my pocket and once I got the envelope with my card in it, my phone vibrated to let me know if I wanted to activate my Apple Card.

Intercontinental is somehow “stingy” in giving credits or maybe it is their way to “gamble” hoping that the customers wouldn’t notice!?? *Fun fact:* hotels in California starting July 1, 2024 “junk fees” (amenities fee) are prohibited! I happened to stay at one of the nice hotels in Beverly Hills and after checking out (didn’t bother looking at the receipt until I got home…) and I found out about these amenities fees which I wasn’t sure what these fees were all about as I thought Internet, and pool were included as part of the hotel rate!? Then I argued with the hotel about the new California law to prohibit these hidden (upfront fees!) The amount was roughly about $175 but still if I hadn’t checked my receipt?? imagine how many customers weren’t aware of this and didn’t even check on their receipts? I felt being cheated and surely I wouldn’t stay at that hotel again! 🤯 Check your rights people esp your hotel receipts after you check out! Saving your hard earned money is better than giving it to them for free! 👍🏼😃 Happy Holidays to all of you! 🎄🎅🎉😃

Hey Calby! Just wondering is the $100 dollar food credit separate from the $200 hotel credit. Making it a possible $300 reimbursement if I spend on food and hotel.

The calendar year vs. renewal date on the stays credit is important. I just upgrades from the Gold to Platinum in October and hadn't used the Stays Credit. But then just booked a reservation at the end of this year going into next year. Meaning the stay will be basically taken care of.

Is it just me or is this a Hotel issue more than a Visa issue?
