Who needs FHR when we got this! 👍🏼 Nice to see how it compares. Glad to see I can get these benefits without having to pay $$ to hold a certain card. I think for those who don’t have the platty this fills that void and checks the boxes. If someone already has the platty and isn’t getting rid of it, I don’t know if it’s enough to make them not use FHR.
Right Xavier! Getting the same/similar benefits, potentially for free sounds great to me, haha Oh for sure, unless they are more worried about being up-charged with their Amex Platinums, personally for me I was thinking about quitting the Amex Platinum so I'm glad I found an alternative and I hope this will be an option for you; that you now know of!
I like your reaction when you got the full bottle of wine. Like a kid that just raided the liquor cabinet 😂 Fantastic review! I'm definitely interested in using my World Elite card to try this out.
I was 4 drinks in, hahaha. Thanks Chatanp! I'm glad I could put this option on your radar! I definitely think Mastercard's benefits are undervalued; hope you can get a similar or better experience than mine!
Informative video! Couple of questions: - Just to clarify, did the hotel credit of $35/person breakfast cover gratuity, or did you have to pay for that out of pocket? Same with the $100 food & bev credit - Were there any fees at all for interacting with Mastercard concierge? I.e. any additional fees for calling them to book the hotel, request recommendations, etc
Good questions! So the breakfast credit is exactly the same as FHR, according to the front desk person I spoke to, the credit can only be used on food items; so taxes and tips don't count. However with the $100 food and beverage credit that was able to be applied to things like taxes, fees, and tips. It also appears that was the case when I checked my final bill. As for any fees interacting with the Mastercard concierge, nope, that was completely free to World Elite Mastercard holders. All the charges I checked myself, like hotels or booking a restaurant reservation, would have been the same whether I used the concierge service or not. So no extra charges to have them book the hotel for you.
I think Calby did, but yes you can. Just did it myself for a Hyatt stay. Booked Mastercard, added loyalty number, got my 5x base points + Hyatt brand explorer. And was able to pay with a Visa WoH card funnily enough, so extra 4x on the stay haha.
Yep! Like Anthony said; except I gave all the information to the Mastercard concierge and they made sure it was on my booking and even confirmed with me, via email, that task was completed.
Actually it’s interesting, it really depends on the property. Because the Marriott property in Nashville had no credits but were about $100 - $200 more expensive than the Virgin Hotel. However there’s a property in Atlanta that averages around $150, Hotel Colee, but has a breakfast credit and a $100 credit.
@@Slaize Yep, it comes with the hotel credit, sometimes up to $100, and breakfast credits. Along with the possibility of getting early check-in and late check-out. Verus standard portals usually don't have those benefits. Plus the mastercard concerige may give you a gift during your stay.
The annoying vocal fry in their accents ugh lol. I don’t believe we are all American 😩. Great vid tho, I’ve always wondered about this when I first heard Mastercard does this. It’s so weird that they don’t talk up the fact that that they have almost the same system as Amex for cheaper.

Awesome, man! Thanks for the info + video!
Thanks Jimmy! Appreciate you being here!
Nice informative video bro. Might have to try this out with my JetBlue Plus card someday.
Thanks JP! Hey, Mastercard is gonna take over, haha
FHR is still the king, so easy to use.

@@CalbyNg Thank you for the response! Definitely seems like a good deal in that case. I'll remember that about the WE Mastercards.

lmao what was that peephole INSIDE the room for? 😂
Yo that's a fishy room🤣🤣
At first I thought, ohhhhh so you can see from the bedroom into the front door's peephole. Nope. I have no idea; and I'm not sure if I want to know.
Wow, you really used knocked it our if the park!
Haha yep! 👍
We need Mastercard to start paying us 😂 - unreal.

$7 markup but I'm assuming the cheaper one didn't have the food credits?
