I ONLY hate it because you don't DASH in the same method as the SNES MMX game because of THAT I find beating the game impossible due to that you don't dash in the normal method via using the X O square or Triangle buttons AT all because of THAT I find this version nearly impossible to complete.

As a guy who loves the OG Mega Man X I’m happy that it got a remake even if the original is still better in my opinion. I will say the X voice actor did a fantastic job. Playing as Vile was a cool feature. Great review Ken!

I like the game and I think it did good job bringing X1 into the modern era, but I still kinda prefer the original. Not only is the sprite work and soundtrack super iconic, but the orginal is just much more fast paced. The remake feels allot of slower and clunkier.

Ugh, what is this thing on people using old stuff as something new... Get a normal job...

I really wish they would have included this is the X Collection.

The PSP didn't flop because of me. I got mine brand new when it came out. I loved Maverick Hunter X and Megaman Powered Up

Fun tidbit, X in this game was voiced by Mark Gatha, who also voiced the main character in G - Gundam. "This hand of mine is BURNING RED!"

I’ve said this time & time again, “Mega Man Maverick Hunter X” & “Mega Man: Powered Up” are not only fantastic remakes but they both offer something that their original counterparts do not. An animated movie explaining the backstory and the lore of the “X Series” while the other offers new ways to play each stage and even allows you to play as each of the 8 robot masters (this game also adds two new ones to round it out to a full 8 bosses which is something the original did NOT do). They deserve more love & frankly, there are several PSP games that have gotten the HD treatment over the past decade and it’s mind boggling that both games were not chosen to be given that treatment as well… These are great remakes! Thanks for covering them. Not enough people do.

This game deserved more love, and also Powered-Up... very gimmicky but fun to play. Being able to unlock and play as the Robot Masters in Powered-Up was fun too.

It only took 22 years after Shattered Soldier ( Last Best ) in my opinion. You also unlock many retro and new tunes. They Rock!! It's a great game that brings back the HYPE in Contra once again!

Looks like a blast! I don't think Contra works in any other format than the original. Glad to hear that this is faithful to the classic games while offering changes that make sense for the series
