Great video folks! ❤ My all-time favorite was Goldeneye and the remake they did for Wii as well! The multiplayer was insane, but the campaign was also lovely! And I am one of the few megafans of CoD Ghosts! Love it!
Nice to see Quake and Soldier of Fortune get their love. Me personally? -Quake -Doom 3 -F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (yes, I'm in the minority who prefers it to the original, though both are really fantastic horror-shooter games) -Halo 2 -Half-Life -James Bond 007 in NightFire -BioShock -And Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Honourable mention goes to Left 4 Dead 2, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Call of Duty: World at War, which has my favourite singleplayer campaign in the series, a rather solid multiplayer that approached 4's foundation in a different way (thank you Plutonium for making it playable again), and of course, Nazi Zombies, the iconic singleplayer/co-op game-within-a-game which began the Call of Duty: Zombies craze (WaW and Black Ops III are basically musts for those looking to get into Zombies mode).
@@_Sergmanx_ Not to mention the singleplayer campaign is so much fun and an even better followup to the already solid Agent Under Fire. Just, making your way into a party-cum-secret bad guy meeting in whatever way you want, sneaking in building on Night Shift, and driving the Aston Martin Vanquish in sections which do it far more justice than the film it also appears in. It's too much damn fun.
My personal favorite First Person Shooter has got to be Brutal Doom. It's basically a case study in how to make an awesome classic FPS even more awesome.
Man alien trilogy looks way to dark, I can barely see! So either the game is that dark, or I'm going blind! That warhammer game looks mighty appealing! I didn't even know the og battlefront 2 had a first person mode! Surprised not to see medal of honor at all!
It’s a very dark game by design. Some levels can be nearly impossible to traverse safely without the shoulder lamp. Thankfully the game has a brightness slider in the options.
I have to go with halo 2 only because of the sheer amount of time spent playing it. It was the first game i ever pre ordered. Raked a lot of leaves to earn that money lol
Everyone had some solid picks in this! I will say that quake is way better than i gave it credit for as a kid. I thought back then that it was a doom rip off, and snubbed it. I played it in my 20s and it changed my mind!
Aside from the original Doom , the game that opened my eyes to what was possible in an FPS was Unreal Tournament on PC , what an incredible game . Halo was a close second for immersive story line and polished gameplay , at the time none had done FPS better .
Heeeey. You didn't forget me this time. LOL Great choices everyone. I think besides my pick, I had to jump on the Battlefront train. I loved the Star Wars Battlefront games on the OG Xbox.
The first FPS I played was Wolfenstein 3D on my grandparents' PC. The Alien games on PS1 are also some of my earliest FPS games. As far as my favorite FPS games go, I pick Half-Life, Metroid Prime, and Team Fortress 2(before it went free to play).
This was a very solid list! I think mine would've been either Descent or Codename Tenka. Very found memories playing those two. Thanks for all that you do guys! ❤
Great job guys... With me it might not be the best FPS I played but it's probably the one I always think of when talking about the genre, HEXEN for the Saturn... The game is truly a gem
Well, since someone told me mods don't count, I guess I'll list off my absolute faves..... Doom 2016 and Eternal (Rip and tear baby, that is all) Quake (A case study in how to take the classic formula Doom established and pump it full of Ultimate Warrior's steroid stash) SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division (Best damn love letter to 80s mecha anime this side of Xenogears baby) Titanfall 2 (Like SHOGO, but with the mechanics much more refined) Half-Life series (One of the greatest FPS stories ever crafted and thensome) Halo trilogy and Reach (One of the many reasons people bought an Xbox and Xbox 360, and NO I will not acknowledge 4 onward, that was just bad fan-fiction from not fans of Halo)
Quake is, for me, the best of all times. In my eyes improve even more than the original Doom in the FPS genre. Like, The Online Matches, the WASD keys we have today, The Machinima, the modding, the maps, and so on...
Did you guys play Rise of the Triad? Good choices and I’m so happy the channel is growing fast
