I know that people love to think that remakes of the good games in the franchise that were overlooked need to happen but in my mind's eye, when it comes to Castlevania games that need to be remade, we have to take care of the bad ones first and give them a legit good release like what happened with Castlevania The Adventure and Haunted Castle before we move onto the good ones

I'm still stunned we've not seen anything more from Dino Crisis, whether a new entry or remake or remaster... Same with Parasite Eve. While both have at least recently FINALLY been getting more love, they've also always had a good cult status to them as well. I've often said I'd like to see early 3D games should get remakes to really let them realize their potential with the proper tech. I'd love to see what could be done with them. If they don't do a remake of Terranigma, I'd at least love to get a compilation of the Quintet trilogy!

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (considering IOI are doing better than ever, I think their gritty crime game about two criminals who despise each other working together for a common goal could be worth a second try, and the idea of dynamic shootouts in crowded environments is ripe with potential.) SiN (There was a remaster of this in development, but it was seemingly dropped, so I think this FPS game and its ideas deserve a new lease on life.) And finally, the one I really want to see: Drakengard (Doomed by a rushed development cycle, this dark fantasy action-RPG has a strong gameplay foundation and compelling sad, bleak plot despite suffering from glitches and jank, and could shine bright as an easier, more arcadey alternative to the glut of Soulslikes that dominate the dark fantasy space nowadays. Plus, I freely admit that as someone who tried playing its in-universe spiritual successor, I actually sympathise a bit more with Caim, The Dragon, Furiae, Verdelet and Inuart than I do the cast of Nier Gestalt/Replicant despite the former ensemble being more morally dubious). There. That's about it.

I would like remakes of the MegaMan Legends games. Bring those games up to modern standards and get to work on MML3. The other 3 are incredibly bad takes IMO, specially the Castlevania one, it's a very bad game in most aspects, if a Castlevania should get a remake, they are either Circle of the moon, which has a solid structure, but was pulled down by being a launch title, so it lacked the finesse of later titles; or if we are talking about 3D titles, the most deserving is Curse if Darkness since it is a very good game that a lot of people passed on because it released around the time of the "new gen" consoles of it's time.
A remake would serve to make that bad game better and give it a second wind to bring new people into the Castlevania fandom. Look at the last two Castlevania games that got remade, The Adventure and Haunted Castle. Two games that are considered to be just as bad as CV 64 if not worse but they both got EXCELLENT remakes that gave them both reinvigorated life and those two remakes have drawn more people into the fanbase. That's what I want for CV 64
Resident Evil should not be remade again, not just for the fact that it already has been but because it stands as the perfect preservation of how Resident Evil started and became the sensation that it is today with it's classic style gameplay and presentation. We already have three remakes with the modern AAA style and at least two more coming, so we don't need to go back again just for that sake. Though Code Veronica, I 200% agree and it was nonsensical to skip that and go right to 4.

I'm getting tired of remakes and remasters I don't understand why game companies can come up with new IPs. what really bugs me is that the remakes look more like a reimagining or like a reboot. and I'm not a big fan of that because to me it feels non-canon and confusing at times or it just takes place in another timeline.

We already have three remakes with the modern AAA style and at least two more coming, so we don't need to go back again just for that sake. Though Code Veronica, I 200% agree and it was nonsensical to skip that and go right to 4.

Umm great picks but no, I odon't have faith in AAA industry. Either it turned into woke DEI slop or lazy remasters even both. Dino Crisis hold special place in my memory. If it dont get RE:MAKE treatment, just let i sleep.

I'm getting tired of remakes and remasters I don't understand why game companies can come up with new IPs. what really bugs me is that the remakes look more like a reimagining or like a reboot. and I'm not a big fan of that because to me it feels non-canon and confusing at times or it just takes place in another timeline.

For instance Square Enix, haven't made a decent Final Fantasy since 12, and all they offer are remakes, which are padded out walking simulators, with quests.
