Verizon 5G Home Internet : How to get it Anywhere!
This is a hack that has worked for me and others that use Verizon's cellular based home internet in areas where they don't offer this service. The only requirement is a decent Verizon LTE signal at minimum (if you get a 5G Verizon Signal, this could potentially perform even better for you). This is an account of what I did to get the service and its been solid for that last few months so far.

Is it still working for you? Any updates?
Still working yes, but still no 5G in my area sadly.
I'm planning on trying this thanks for the video
Very welcome
Thank you You help me make a decision on where to spend my money
Does this still work?
Just ordered mine today.
Is there a monthly fee for the internet? I'm in a place that doesn't get anythjng but hughesnet, viasat, and the eecently launched starlink (which i can't afford) but i found a service through imperial wireless that sent me a verizon gateway but it doesnt work very well and im pauong $95 a month for the services even though i cant even stream apps on it.
What address did you use that works
A friend's in Michigan, but any address in an qualified area should work.
Omg I just so did this & I was good right away so far no issues. I’m hoping it stays working. I didn’t get a SIM card my situation was I needed to move out asap due to plumbing issues & came to live at a hotel suite got here plugged it in & after about 4 mins or so I was good & all of did was bring it w/ me.
I got Verizon 5G Home Internet for my bedroom a few weeks ago
I have to change the IMEI?
This worked for me. I've been running into an issue when I'm connected to a VPN on my computer where my phone provider marks that data usage as hotspot data instead of regular cell data. I have a data cap on my hotspot data, so I want all traffic to appear as regular cell phone traffic. Do you know of any way to fix that?
Do you still have this service? Experiencing any issues? Have they geolocked it now?
Still have it , still no 5G in my area, LTE only but no issues as far as connectivity or geolocking.
@@profitgee1 interesting. My next door neighbor is currently a Verizon 5G customer; but it still says it's unavailable to me, and but believe it's due to them capping new users in our zip code as I've tried many other addresses. I'm in North Carolina. My parents address in Michigan does work though, so wonder if I could use their address to get it and sent to mine in NC and use it, especially with their great promotions going on right now.
Quality content man. I know im late but im sitting here with all 3 devices trying to figure which to use
What did verizon say when you told them you was using the gateway at a different location ?
Nothing they just updated my service location to my billing address.
Okay Thanks
When I connected a Roku to Verizon 5g home internet it asked if I was in a hotel or dorm room ? I put I was at home wouldn’t work till I set it up I was in a hotel? Have you experienced this ?
No I haven't. But I've never used Roku. But even so that's weird. All my streaming devices ( firestick, Chromecast, android and apple always connect with no issue. Do a speed test on fast.com with your phone to see if Verizon is throttling the video to 5 mbps
👍👍
Hey…..just wondering if it’s still working good for you?
Yes it is!
@@profitgee1 just purchased today and it’s working great so far
nice rig; i’m using all mikrotik 😌
clever !!
Verizon is is starting to catch those who are running in a location different than where they activated. They always had the ability to know who and which wireless devices are on their network.
what are they gonna do anyways?
@@chaylinsharpe9447 if you try to use it at a location that it wasn’t originally active at, they charge you for that for equipment charge which is like $200 for the box on the next bill.
Be careful is the Verizon police they gonna break down your door and raid your router @@chaylinsharpe9447
It sounds like you CAN take your gateway with you. Has anyone gone a couple hours in a highway to the next city, town whatever? It seems like it's basically just using Verizon Cellular with the same SIM/IMEI Tech. My brain says it should work.
Yeah moving it once it's activated isn't an issue it just picks up the nearest signal, it's getting the router/ SIM initially activated that can be tricky
The videos that you spliced in are extremely s t u p i d.
Is your internet still going strong? I ordered mine and my address didnt qualify. I used an address that did qaulify 7 miles down the road, (go figure) and it has been rock solid. Im pulling 80mbs with 60ms ping which i a farcry from the only crap offered around here. I was wondering if yours was still going good becauae i can help but worry im gonna get locked out. The number on my router matches the area code im in without alteration
I will also add that I drove to the address I used as the service address (which is an RV park resort) and activated the service there, then drove it back home and plugged it in. Absolutely no issue. Works like a charm
Yep still going strong, Thanks for asking !
good stuff!
Thanks for posting this. I tried this with a buddy's place who lives up the street from me (he has 5g available to his address and I do not), used his address as the service address (he's a fiber subscriber). Quick question, if I change the service address back to my house, do you think Verizon will shut off the box?
BTW it would not activate at my house, I had to bring it to his house to activate it. Brought it to his house, activated it, brought it back to my house and it worked.
Berry Good Juice, this worked for me. Thank you, I really appreciate your help.
Did you have to call customer service, are did it work right out of box?
Smart dude.👍
Can you connect it through pc with Ethernet instead of usb cable?
I prefer android boxes instead, it replaced both my cable box and my PS4, especially since now I use game-pass ultimate, shadow pc and the emulator apps in the play store. Plus I get to watch all of the movies or series I want using Kodi or Syncler plus.
Did you ever do any kind of comparison test with your Cisco antennas vs the MOFI style antennas?
Hello get video. I was wondering if you can make a video about the bands that you created. I have the att 6500 netgear and I unlocked it.
To use activate the band lists created I believe you have to use the mobile app to select the band list. You can't just choose the band list through the gui of the 6500. Then you have to reboot the 6500 to get it to actually activate that band list.
Should I add mimo antennas to my m1 nighthawk
T-Mobile Home Internet or Verizon Home Internet ???
I need help brother it's telling me two network adapter has same ip subnet! Please change network card or router ip address to different subnet. What am I doing wrong I turn on ip pass-through. Any Advice will be very much appreciated
why can't you just add the new bands to the list without changing imei? imei changing is usually for network blocked/stolen devices
You can edit the band list without editing the IMEI , and no one is advocating to use this for ANY stolen device.
I am sorry but Verizon now inforces geofencing during activation, I currently have 4g lte home and was trying to upgrade to 5g home. My neighbor 33 feet way is eligible as 7 others within walking distances, I tested a address only 33 feet away which is eligible for 5g home, however using this address it still wont even let me sign up, it will show up in plan features but will give the error "you cannot do this at this time" . I brought this to the top their reps and they told me Verizon has what they call black boxed areas. This means yes your neighbor can get it but due to capacity or just because Verizon wants to be asses they can black box your address until capacity is lifted or it is available. Typing in addresses from other areas even with the same area code no longer works. However, the weird thing is I am on LTE home and still getting over 100 mpbs download because I live less than a mile from a tower. I live in a heavily 5g area. Verizon is crap, I may switch soon.
That address is probably only eligible for MMWave 5G home. If you’re not within a certain distance of the node they won’t activate the service.
Novice here. Verizon SIM wouldn’t work. I found out the M1 isn’t a “Verizon approved”device. Does this mean that I can turn my Nighthawk into a “phone” or “Verizon Orbic Speed” hotspot just by changing the IMEI number for them and then a Verizon SIM will work in it? Please tell me, “Yes!”
That’s exactly what changing the IMEI number is for! As long as you have hotspot data available on your SIM card you should be good to go, if not ymmv.
Mind blown. Can’t wait for my new SIM to get here. I didn’t want to have to buy their modem when I already have an unlocked M1 and external antenna. I’ll try the IMEI from the Orbic Speed I have. Wondering, though, is there somewhere one may obtain additional IMEI for other devices?Thank you so much!!
Would this be beneficial with running 2 att routers vs att and Verizon like you have
Not sure. I tried it with 2 T-mobile gateways and the results were not good. Make sure the gateways have different IP addresses.
I have an att locked nighthawk mr6110. It detects my visible sim and switches to verizon's apn automatically, but won't pick up the signal as it is carrier locked. Would switching the imei number to the imei of the phone the plan is for fix this? Or am i hardware locked to att with this device
Switching the imei should help you
Do you have to change the IEMI to setup which band you want to use?
No. You can customize the band selection without changing the IMEI #
@@profitgee1 can at&t detect if you changed your imei number? I see on my plan that they are trying to keep people from using different routers on my plan...
@@DerBrandt no that's the point. That's why I recommend changing it while the data is off on the m1 The company sees the IMEI # and it matches the device the IMEI was assigned to whether its a phone , tablet, hotspot etc they can't tell that it's an M1 with an edited IMEI
Great video thanks for the info , I love the way you break things down Vital Information you're the only one I found that does this thank you 👍
Great Video Thanks.
Working great here! I'm guessing I just receive the 4g LTE signal, it seems to hit a hundred very fast, then taper down to about 70 or 80 Mbps..
I've got TMobile internet also, but I'd like to cancel that, I'm just afraid the Veriz. Will get taken away.. due to circumstances...of location...
@@tdemaree I wouldn’t worry about that Verizon is not taking anything away as long as the bill is being paid! My PA address is a far cry from the MI address I used to qualify and 8 months later I’m still going strong.
@@profitgee1 it's been rock solid here, fingers crossed..
Make sure you’re not being charged for it because there’s a difference between 5G and LTE service 5G is unlimited but LTE runs as a hotspot so they charge you for using it like hotspot surcharges
Great video as always! Is this unlisted video? Didn't see it on your YT page..maybe it's just me.. at any rate, thanks for great content that matters!
Yea it’s unlisted. Didn’t want to contribute to folks abusing this hack and causing Verizon to start to enforce their geo locking
I guess the new straight talk home internet uses the same towers..but u have to buy the router...this market is getting interesting...
I saw your posts on vz home internet.. on Mater's channel..how's it working out?
ua-cam.com/video/hQ-DZBykxhE/v-deo.html
So far so good. only an LTE signal by me but it’s cheaper and performs better than the VZ hotspot plan I used to use (video speed is capped at 50Mbps hotspot video was 3Mbps) on ookla I get ~70-80Mbps down and 12-15 up
What happens if I repair IMEI and add band list with the simcard inserted and the nighthawk m1 cell data on?
Nothing. It didn’t work for me. But have at it if you want to try it that way.
It worked for me 🙂
"Cut the corrrrrrd..." lol great video!
I'm getting my M1 this week and I got an unlimited plan that has unlimited data.. waiting for the SIM card :) I'll download the "other program" to do other things to allow my m1 new potential when they ask me the IMEI number when activating I gave an old iPhone I had laying around that I don't use anymore. So I need to match that same IMEI in the M1 using repair IMEI to the IMEI I used to activate service? How do I find out if the nighthawk is unlocked or not? And last questions that no one asks, can I repair/change an IMEI that has been already repaired or it can only be the original IMEI that can be repaired once? Thank you.
You can change the IMEI number as many times as you’d like on the same M1 once you pay the credits to do it the 1st time. And yes I would definitely match the IMEI to the device the service is activated on.
@@profitgee1 awesome 😎 thank you so much for replying back. You definitely won a subscriber and follower ! Is it easy unlocking a locked m1? And the simcard do we put it after repairing IMEI or after? Thanks
I think we need an updated video of how to unlock, "repair IMEI" band locks to get the fastest bands etc on the M1
Hey bro. I'm in an RV using a Mofi 4500 with a AT&T plan. I spend most of my time in Verizon territory an would like a better plan. Can you recommend a plan and the settings to use (I'm not that tech savvy)? Thanks Marvin
