    There is a M2M h721 V6 router with dual modem in LTE Fix they say they fixed the modem burnouts because the V1-V3 would burn out EM20 modems and other ones but right now the V6 version fixed most of the problems but still haven’t tested the EM20 but did test other modems and no burnouts. Might be a good option for Visible Wireless and maybe I could get above 100mbps.

    I have good internet but my ISP is my largest bill and they won't put me on a promotional price plan anymore. I have to stop being their customer for 90 days to get any deals. I'm checking out your solutions so I can at least have internet If I take the plunge but I have so much to learn and they do my phone and it's just so frustrating. My sister in another location can get my same service from my the same ISP company for $80 less a month but when I call they just say 'it's not availible in your area.' I will keep watching to see if there is a way for me to bust their hold on my near empty wallet.

    So I qualify for att first net which has an unlimited hot spot and tethering tablet plan for like 35 bucks. Seriously considering trying the nighthawk IMEI swap trick with that.

    Almost pulled the trigger on building my own router following your lead. However, I think Starlink seem to be the route. Expensive but the fight to get the unlimited data plan drama is a bit much.

    Thanks for the update. I am up in northern New England and I am debating ordering Star Link but for now I’m sticking with my current set up. It’s a MOFI 4500, Visible plan, and a Wilson Cell Phone Booster with a Yagi on the roof. I have good cell service outside the house but zero inside due to the high level of insulation and metal roof. The Wilson fixes the no cell reception and allows the rabbit ear antennas on the MOFI to work fine.
    I set this up last year when we moved into our newly constructed house. Speeds were 50 down and 20 up. Lasted six weeks ... we’re down to 5 down and 4 up. My work Verizon phone still still 50/20.
    My wife works from home full-time, we stream occasionally, but are not gamers so the 5 / 4 works. More speed would be nice if you know something ... but nothing is worse. I did set the MOFI up with masking.
    Star link is available here but I did not want to try to do a professional looking install with 2 feet of snow outside

      Here's a video that details bypassing the visible throughput throttle: ua-cam.com/video/v0PqRhpG9OM/v-deo.html
      And I here ya! This winter brought all the snow the last couple of winters held back on , let me know how the vid works out for you and if you do decide to try Starlink , love to know how it works for you

    Good video sir. Starlink just became available in my area. Debating on getting it. Just built my own rig and setting it up. Was getting 70-80 down with Visible on Mofi4500 sim4 V3 and I’m hoping for much better speeds with this new rig. Starlink does look very good with speed testing.

    Great vid berry. It’s been a while. I’m also using a prepaid unlimited hotspot plan off a reseller he’s selling it a good price $50 a month. I’ve used on three different modems and it has worked fine.

    I can't wait to see how your home built router is working out! I think a lot of the carriers are seeing the future and are trying to find ways to keep some market share as Starlink rolls out:)

    What router do you recommend for Verizon sim unlimited tablet. Just trying to play fortnight after work. Please reply been looking for a solution.

    • @profitgee1
      @profitgee1  3 роки тому

      There are several to choose from; the insty connect, the mofi, the M1… it all depends on you cell signal and whether or not you’ll need external antennas etc. I recommend using one that allows you to change the imei as your using a tablet plan to avoid the carrier detecting the router and shutting off the service

    I have a Verizon sim from a reseller. I'm satisfied with the speeds but I know I'm overpaying. I know you you use Verizon and I would like to open my own post paid or prepaid line with Verizon to use in my mofi. Which one do you prefer that is unlimited and isn't throttled?

    • @profitgee1
      @profitgee1  3 роки тому +2

      Visible is the best option for a verizon network unlimited data plan but if you have a post paid line then you can add a data only tablet plan for about $20 / month take the sim out the tablet and put it in the mofi

    • @Bobbcudi
      @Bobbcudi 3 роки тому

      @@profitgee1 the data only plan for the tablet will get the same speeds as the one phone? The ttl of the mofi should mask the data right so there isn't any throttlingling??

    • @profitgee1
      @profitgee1  3 роки тому +1

      @@Bobbcudi the TTL will make it look like on the phone data ( with visible there are a couple more adjustments that need to be made to bypass the 5Mb speed cap) but the IMEI number of the device can still be seen by the carrier so keep that in mind as far as the tablet plan I helped 3 of my neighbors that are using the post paid tablet plan and it's been working for them with no issues

    • @Bobbcudi
      @Bobbcudi 3 роки тому

      @@profitgee1 I know about visible I use it as my back up if my verizon plan gets shut off like it has multiple times in the past. I use around 800 gbs a month and have been happy with the consistency of the verizon service but 180 is a expensive a month. Due to my kids doing at home learning I need something I can have some faith that it won't be shut off. You help your neighbors get the line also, or just the set up in the mofi?

    • @profitgee1
      @profitgee1  3 роки тому

      @@Bobbcudi I helped with the set up and told 2 of them what to ask for from the carrier ( one had the tablet plan already ) but yeah one is using it with a mofi the other with an m1 (with another router attached to the m1's Ethernet port) the one with the m1 got an email about hot spot usasge being capped at 15GBs with in his first couple of days of usage but has never noticed any drop in the bandwidth speed and that was 6 months ago
