Rewatching the moves again and I did notice more CGI issues in The Two Towers. On scene where Legolas sneaks up behind a warg rider really….stood out…that it was CGI. Few other times just showed how the first movie just flowed better from start to finish.

My favorite memory is finding this podcast totally by accident. It was i think right after the fight Ahsoka had with Baylan Skoll/ Hayden’s cameo at the very end. Now a year later. It’s just amazing how much more I have learned about Star Wars from these two gentlemen. Here’s to celebrating one year. 🍾

It always pains me to hear The Two Towers called a "sequel." A sequel is a follow-up made to cash in on the success of its predecessor, whereas LOTR is essentially one long movie split into three parts for release purposes, just as it was one long novel split into three volumes. Calling TT and ROTK "sequels" is almost as insulting as calling LOTR a "franchise."

You guys do a great job of breaking down films, and I’m really enjoying this. Love the intro lol, perfect transition to a non-Star Wars related topic. LOTR is my favorite trilogy of all time, even more than Star Wars. Really great podcast 👍🏻 Side note, something I enjoy about your show that makes it stand out is how you bring in ties to faith, like how Gandalf is a Christ-like figure. Even down to the Balrog only striking Gandalf’s heel. Great stuff 🙌🏻

I’m a new subscriber so not a lot of fave memories, but I like how you say it makes sense that Legolas basically skate boarded down the stairs because of him being light on his feet. I used to cringe at that scene, but now I see it a bit differently. Thx:)

Favorite memory would be finding your show via Tiktok. The clip of Seth talking about "his Star Wars" compared to "his wife's Star Wars" was so positive and encouraging, and I couldn't remember the last time I heard fans talk about Star Wars with that kind of attitude. I'm pretty sure after trying multiple Star Wars podcasts, my reaction to that clip was, "Oh my god, this is what I've been looking for". Anyone can know a lot about Star Wars, but not anyone can create a show and community with such great energy and I'm grateful to be a part of it.

Another great episode lads, particularly appreciated you guys sharing about your faith. Two Towers is probably my least favourite of the three movies but it’s still spectacular. I wasn’t a big fan of Aragorn being thrown off the cliff by the Wargs and his following sequence it just felt unnecessary. Congratulations on your One Year Anniversary BTDS! The watch party will be around 8am Monday morning for me so I’ll probably not be able to join as I’ll be working but one of my favourite memories from this year of BTDS (outside of pizza rolls) is how welcoming, kind and fair you guys are, a real beacon of light in the darkness that can be some areas of this fandom. ❤

The king spent years in the shadows, cut him some slag, it took him some time to become who he really was. jeje... Sam´s speech at the end of two towers is amazing, But I always found interesting how that speech affected not only Frodo, but also Faramir and Gollum. Faramir understood and was inspired by it to let them go continue there Quest... mission... thing. For Gollum was to come up with an Idea how to kill his master without doing anything "wrong" he was actually taking them to the right direction he just did not mention the little spider.

What a great show guys!!!!! really, so great, Seth Gollum's, Konnor that last scene reading the end of helms deep, great quotes like "But is true, they are very small" or "Small rocks at the begging of the avalanche"... so much good stuff! This was amazing! Thank you!

I learned the other day a little bit about how the "magic" in LotR works and I wanted to mention it for anyone who doesn't know because it made me truly love something that was always meh to me. I am no expert btw heh Gandalfs "magic" isn't casting spells it's changing reality with his words. He can only change things within his power and can be overridden by those more powerful. But in the Balrog scene when he says, "You can not pass." in the book...it's not a threat. It's Gandalf saying, "The laws of the universe will not allow you to pass from now on." Same thing with when he says, "Your staff is broken." He's not like casting a spell. He is stating a fact and the universe breaks Sarumans staff to make it a true statement. It is an incredible idea of magic to me :)
