Is Mario Wonder GOOD?
Super Mario Wonder is out, but is it any good? How does it compare to the New Super Mario Bros. games, and is it really on the level of classics like Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. 3?
You've got my opinion, but give me yours in the comments. Do you think Mario Wonder is the best 2D Mario game?

The best new and unreleased metroidvanias coming up in 2023, according to me. My qualifications are that I like metroidvanias and I own video editing software. I played 35 new and unreleased Metroidvanias

Steam's Next Fest is a great opportunity, twice a year, to scope out all of the upcoming metroidvanias and other indie games and see which ones are worth your attention. So I played and reviewed all 35 games tagged "Metroidvania" as a public service and, more importantly, to destroy my fragile mind. Good news: It worked! These are some of the best (and worst) metroidvanias coming out in 2023. W...
2022 was a golden age for indie games

What are the best games of the year, and why shouldn't I be the one to decide? I think I know better than Geoff Keighley. I've spent the year playing the dickens out of everything on Steam, with a focus on indie games, souls-likes, metroidvanias and roguelikes. You know, the good stuff. 00:00 Intro 00:41 Biggest Surprise 02:40 Biggest Disappointment 04:31 Most Original 06:15 Best Music/Sound 08...
Game Changer: Why Dark Souls Is Still the Best
Переглядів 2,6 тис.Рік тому
Is Dark Souls still the best Souls game after all these years, or has Elden Ring snuffed out the first flame? The original Dark Souls changed the industry with its tough-but-satisfying difficulty, unique combat systems and an incredibly detailed world, with an interconnected map that still has not been done better. Elden Ring is much bigger, and the game's systems and combat have grown to be a ...

Flashback - Genesis Video Game Review
Really well done and honest review! Great points made
i think the enemy-favored hitboxes and the faint lag for whip attacks is probably one of the biggest things that slow down the game, it becomes less about reflexes and reacting and more about playing as carefully as possible so you dont get fucked by those faint things that you have no control over besides just playing along with it.
I think that the series innovated so much that this one automatically ends up feeling worse. It wasnt awful though i thought it was like a 6/10
I had Zillion for the SMS. It had a map and i still never beat it.
I mean there is a mod/hack and saving which makes the game dramatically easier, and hey the game has personality which can't be said for most games, even Zero Mission does a poor job emulating the "feel"
I get what your saying but it’s not good game design to have to draw a map mid game session it’s annoying
I still own this game! XD
Who needs a map when you have a great sense of direction?
Thanks for making this short so I can show these kids what a real game looks like 👍
The surprise for me is usually a drop of polymorphine falling onto my head and promptly ruining my run
"Kinda hard to excuse the health grinding, but have you tried not dying?" As a casual gamer, I don't see health grinding as an major issue.
Well said! That game is underrated lately. Back then I drew my own map and it seriously made the whole thing so much more rewarding.
You HAVE to get her to try Castlevania next.
Shell definitely prefer alucard vs samus tbh
Why do you need to draw don't you have a brain that's can memorise things like I did when I was 6 playing this
I played zelda 1 and used microsoft Excel to make a map, and i am doing the same for metroid
there is a metroid 1 port for snes with map included just like the super metroid, search for metroid 1 snes port by infidelity
Or just memorize the games like i did
I was having fun playing and drawing a detailed map… until you reach roadblocks everywhere and you have to randomly bomb every wall and discover fake acid to progress.
That’s a really good point. Remembering the gaming experience is what makes games so special, hindsight can be your ally in figuring out what that actually meant at the time
I don't care if this gets me hate, but IMO Zero Mission makes this unplayable.
The turtle dinosaur is definitely evolving into Koolaid Man.
my only problem with it is it's too easy making the game feels short
I came to hear an opinion about the funny game that keeps beating my ass not having an existential crisis 15 seconds in
the review that followed justified it. excellent points made.
I will always prefer Super Metroid, mainly because I'm good
She dated you for a whole decade? Why?
Super Metroid can be difficult at first, but once you embrace and understand the controls, it's incredible!
Apart from the music, i believe it is better than the original. Well, not better, its the same, but more of it. More monsters, more levels, more items, more secrets and definitely A LOT HARDER, but in all fairness, its what i loved about the first: completely unforgiving. One wrong move and youre dead and unceremoniously dropped at the start of lvl 1. Its the kind of game that really makes you feel like youve earned every win. It can be kinda cheap, but thats part of the charm, i think. Its the only game i play regularly other than gt7. If you want an oldschool platformer thats as rewarding as it is frustrating, you cant go wrong with spelunky. And steer clear of online guides at least until you can reach olmec consistently. Part of the fun is figuring out the mechanics to the secrets.
this game is good 👍
Every place where screen stops scroling is most likely the hidden upgrade or passage
Also there are like two rooms in the entire game. Thats what makes it really hard.
I loved mazes as a kid so this game really fascinated me growing up, not getting lost is just a part of the challenge. I still have the maps I drew for Metroid 2.
That last clip LOL. YOU SHALL NOT PASS (THROUGH THAT PORTAL)
There is a romhack for include a map and save game implementation like super metroid
NES games were as hard and cryptic as shit. But if you beat one without a guide, you felt like a fucking god.
I played the entire series, from the first one to HL2: Episode 2 and Black Mesa. And, I have to say, the series really improved on its graphics engine since the old days with Gold Source. Freeman endured and survived so much, coming close to death numerous times since the Resonance Cascade. That HEV suit of his is God tier protection. Never forget where you started, Valve. Nostalgia. 😎
This type of scrolling platformer game was a rarity in 1984. It really made the game stand out. I also loved Spelunker, which was arguably the better game.
I play spelunky 2
NES *Metroid* is an incredible game that I’m currently playing, I beat *Super Metroid* last year which is probably in the top 5 best games ever made, so far it seems the NES version is much easier. I just ordered *Dread* a few days ago that I’ve been wanting the past 2 years so badly, I can’t wait. I listened to the entire soundtrack at work the other day and its music is very underrated.
These NES games are easier than ever with this new little invention called the internet.
Surprised to see so little subs! I know this is an old video and prolly won’t see this, but keep it up
My grandpa knows everything about the very first zelda game and he said back then he'd draw maps of the overworld and dungeons and where to go specifically for items n stuff Retro gaming really is awesome Especially hearing storys from people born from those times! I drew a map for both Metroid and holy I've never been so relieved without having to figure it out all the time XD
Having to kill the same enemy over and over just to get your health over 75.
They’re different, and both good in their own ways
getting packed up AT THE PORTAL is inhumane punishment
Gameplay variety, the adventure, weapons, level/map design, puzzles, vehicles, story, physics engine.
it's a pity that you seems to stop videos !just discover you from France and you are the real hidden gem of video games's UA-cam. Voice, text, sound...and your fridge of course : everything is top !!!! please let me know if somebody does the thing as you do on this fun°°°°king internet. Love !
Worth it to buy solo play?
Silksong 😢
A few things is they should not make the lava one shot but make it so you take a good amount of damage still and if you get poisoned the whole run is over basically.
(very distant) **boo!**
You can try our demo during the Next Fest! "Nuke Them All" is an exciting indie RTS game set to launch in 2024, and we've already released the Demo, which is why we're reaching out to Steamers. It's a unique game in the style of classic golden-era RTS titles like Z, KKND, and C&C Red Alert. The primary objective is to capture flags and territories, speeding up production, upgrading factories, and ultimately destroying the enemy fort!
