I believe VW own Electrify America so Audi don't need any agreement with Tesla. I just drove a BMW i4 in California renting for 19 days. You don't need Tesla charging.

Most of the Tesla owners who purchasing or using alternative charging adapter are due to employers offer free campus charging, and they are not NACS standard. In fact I have yet to notice a single company in my area providing Tesla standard charging station.

If you’re paying cash you demand a new battery pack not a recycled battery pack. I can understand using recycled packs under warranty.

I just checked my Polestar 2’s SOH after 2 years of use. Came in at 95%…so, about 2.5% degradation per year. My routine was - Since I had 2 years of free charging from EA (part of my agreement with Polestar), I mainly charged at EA up to 70-80% (whatever i could get in 30 minutes). Then, I would charge to 90% at home, using my Level 2 home charger. I recently watched a video about research conducted by “Battery University” that showed one can significantly reduce the battery degradation, and extend the SOH of the battery to over 15 years, by charging at Level 2, from 30%-60% or 40%-60%…every day, or when needed to keep the level in this range. The recommendation is only feasible for people that have short daily usage. Also, the research data was for Lithium ion batteries.😊

What’s up with Tesla? I was under the impression that they were long lasting reliable EVs. But for a battery to have such a short life span puts my initial impression in question. I drive a 2022 Nissan Leaf and the battery is still at 100%. I’ve never heard of Nissan Leaf batteries having such a short lifespan. Even much earlier Leafs are still on the road with their original battery. I’ve been contemplating the purchase of a long range Tesla down the road, but I think I will just hang onto what I have. After all, if it works, don’t fix it, and in my case, don’t exchange it. I’m very glad I watched this video. I’ll just stay with what I have.

I have a 2024 Blazer EV and the Tesla App on my iPhone 15 Pro. I also have the Tesla adapter with me. I stopped at a Tesla 'Charging Station' at a Meijer (in Michigan) the other day, scanned the barcode on the charger station with the Tesla app and the charger station I was located at did not come up in the app (faster away stations came up) so I could not activate the charging session. What did I do wrong? Please teach me how to charge using the Tesla's. Thanks in advance.

I owned a model 3 ans it was too much issues after issues. Rattling inside non stop. Suspension felt so cheap. I sold it and got this car. It's so much better. In quebec we got the same refunds with the ioniq6 than the model3.

Biggest issue with Tesla is the screen, i absolutely hate everything being on a screen and personally think its a safety risk not having a tactile switch.

The prius prime is a masterpiece you can't beat 130 miles with hybrid and gas combo. my doctor she has the old prius prime and when she told me she gets 1200 miles for a 9-gallon tank full up wow. She gave the prius prime to her son the doctor's husband did a 3-way trade by giving his son his BMW to own the prius prime. what's the range for that Tesla 300 miles I don't think so Tesla is going the way of the bata max and vhs, same shape every year bogus self-driving technology for $20,000 while rear end crashes into police cars and tractor-trailer..mmm Elon still same boring cars and that hideous cyber junk I mean truck. Also, Toyota has a 27-day inventory for hybrids the gas cars are in the showroom while if by chance a is on the floor it ends up being driven out. The rav4 sold over a million one year the Honda crv over 900,000 that's because of quality. last physical button was also the reason I didn't get the Venza hybrid because that is what takes to change the climate control leave the buttons and you will have less distracted drivers on the road.

I drive a 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid. After owning it for 2 months and driving about 4K miles, I had a total battery failure. Thankfully I was under warranty and Honda ordered and replaced my battery. This took nearly two months, and they did loan mt a car during the time. When I signed off on the service, I saw that the battery cost was $7K. I was shocked! I hope this battery doesn't fail outside of warranty because we could not afford to replace it. This is a small hybrid battery, so I couldn't imagine a full electric car battery price like on a Tesla. 😨

Tesla is where it's at but 45 miles id only have to pay out the nose when I go on vacation. It feels like driving for free in a Tesla and the lease is as much as a normal car now and it drives itself now.

Good video, what bothers me is they say 70% minimum within 120k mi. That tells you how quickly they think the battery pack will degrade. A gas engine car does not drop 30% performance in 120k mi. Like your graph, many thanks

Trying to decide to buy now or wait. Tesla gave me a good offer on my trade, 0.99% interest, and the $7500 credit makes me consider buying before the end of the month. We just bought a model 3 rwd in September. I’d buy the dual motor Y. We’d become a total EV family. We’ve found the 3 is too small to use when we go on trips. Should we wait and possibly lose the $7,500 credit if the administration changes, and have a reduced trade in value on our existing trade if we wait to trade or trade now for a sure thing?

At this point i would replace the BMS itself with the 2nd battery. As for after warranty you wont be getting a remanufactured battery. You are purchasing a new battery as its not warranty.

Now that the 2024 ID.4 can get 175kw-190kw max, please don't pitch a fit when you see them on 350kw chargers! I wish 200kw chargers were more common so we could save the 350s for the Rivians and Lightnings, tho

An update: The ID.4 has both automatic and manual battery preconditioning for the 2024 model year. For manual preconditioning, the screen will tell you how long to precondition to get the optimal charging speed, so you don't need to be using VW's nav to take advantage of it.

Battery is problematic. It is unstable. Usually around 600 to 1,000 cycle charge and that's it folks. If use lead acid battery at least is cheaper and easy replacement and recycling.

I HAVE A 2001 HONDA INSIGHT WITH 193,000 MILES, I GET GET 50 MPG AND 60 IF I TURN OFF THE AC. I PAID $3,500 AND REPLACED THE BATTERY $2,500 20,000 MILES AGO. I WILL NEVER SELL THIS CAR, BUT FOR EGO I WLL CONSIDER THE $25,000 TESLA SO IT CAN DIRVE MY 75 YEAR OLD ASS AROUND WHEREVER I WANT TO GO!!
