thank you for this video! Super helpful!! took delivery of a GT Line yesterday (3 year lease) i thought it'll take me 3 years just to understand all the features 🤣..I watched all EV9 videos from all of the Out of Spec channels... would love to see a cannonball video R1S vs EV9 😁
Yes. Sometimes the charging cable remains locked to the port. That pull tab is to release it in an emergency. Normally, you need to unlock the car doors before removing the charging cable. Based on the settings in your car, the car can lock the charging cable always; lock the cable only while charging; or remain unlocked always. Most people forget to unlock their doors first before removing the cable. See the How to videos online by Kia.
Great review. I'm coming back and watching again after first seeing it 7 mos ago. You covered some things no one else talks about. Such a great truck. ❤
If its like our ioniq 5 it cant stay on i pedal it will return to level 3 each time. I know some trim of ev6/ioniq 5 can return to last preset except i pedal.
This may be a silly question. Has anyone road tripping plugged into a hotels standard outlet and charged the final 20% overnight? I could probably find DC chargers that would do 80 - 90 SOC in 10 minutes or so and cost less than $5 but just curious what people have found is the best road tripping strats because why not use free passive charge options overnight
What are the major EV differences between this car and Polestar 2? For example, Plug&Charge, navigation to DCFCs, power out, battery conditioning, OTA updates, etc.? Thanks.
If 12V battery is dead, and I use the key to unlock the door manually, this will trigger the car alarm. Question is how to disable the alarm since the 12v is dead and the car is not operable ?
So I have the EV9 Land trim and I can get up to 400 miles of range on a full charge...it depends on which drive mode you are using I typically drive in ECO mode
I think this is a really good review. Please come up with something so that when you are talking about something on the screen, we can find it. Either a circular post-it note around the emblem or do a close up of the feature and splice it in. This is a problem (for me) with all of the car reviewers. P.S I hope you remembered to reset the height of the tailgate.
Yes, I was just rewatching parts of the video on my Desktop computer, easier to see details. Normally I watch a tv ten feet away for which I have poor controls (on a treadmill).@@icoachv
Well i'm not against electric car. But they do for money, not for safe the word. The battery, the way people mining minerals to build them is all but not green.
Two people at church own these. Adam owns the Land gets 280 miles due to 20” wheels. Matt owns the GT Line and gets 270 due to 21” wheels. Matt gets less than that because he drives it mostly alone in Sport Mode and drives like he’s in a Fast and Furious film. Adam mostly drives with his wife and 5 kids in Eco mode, and says he gets over 300 sometime. Depends how you drive it.
I honestly don't get the hype with the EV9. I am guessing the fact that Kia was first to market with an electric 3 row SUV under $80k is enough for some people. For me, the materials and range are pathetic for a $75k vehicle. I predict poor sales unless they start offering some aggressive lease deals.
Took Delivery of my EV9 yesterday and this video was very helpful, Thanks!

That's exactly how I felt🤣
Thanx for this overview, it REALLY helps with all the bells and whistles, i'm still finding new features after 3months.
I believe the pull tab at 38:30 is used to release the lock on the charging plug to allow you to pull the charging cable out of the receptacle.

Yep me too. Tried it today as my charger door wouldn't open (??why??). It did nothing to open the door
So, then how would you open the charging port door, in the event of a dead battery?
very helpful - just bought this car (love it) but was overwhelmed with the features. thank you

Hello. Can the fingerprint setting also determine your starting regenerative setting?
Wondering if there is a way to disengage auto unlock and use the door lock button?
At the charge port there are two buttons. The upper one closes the "door" of the charge port. What function does the other one have????
Just got our ev9 can’t figure out how to keep it in I-pedal. Every time we get in it and go in drive it starts on level 3? Thanks for the video!

Like other EGMP cars this is standard. Because IPedal is not the most efficient regen model it defaults to 3.

Great review! It’s unfortunate the range is on the lower side.
Being a box on wheels surely has something to do with it

i dont believe my ventilated seats are working.. are they supposed to be cold like with a refrigerate line ?
What type of 12 V battery is being supplied with these cars? I have read about 12 V issues and wonder if AGM batteries are installed.
I think they should have leaned more EV lens vs legacy auto lens for this. I like buttons but too many stalks and buttons here. Can clean it up
At 2:10, I'm pretty sure that is the odometer. Not range. On the far left is the range.

If you hover over the timeline, each feature/segment is labeled... Hope this helps.

Didnt this guy work at TFL? What happened?
Can unlock button be set to open driver's door only ?
I can't say for sure but on my 17 Niro had a setting for that. Used it for rideshare
Yes it can

Did Master Yoda teach you to speak?
it looks cheap from inside
Only 136 miles range at 96% state of charge? At that price? Seriously?
It was 236 at 96%.
@@icoachv236 was the odometer. The estimated range was actually 217.
Yup he did say upto 136 miles and I was surprised too

Doesn't it start at 55k? Would be a better buy for ride share drivers. Which make up a very surprising number of Tesla owners and renters.
@@BremboT you’re going to want the long range model for ride sharing which is approximately $61k (RWD) or $66k for AWD.
