Love the post. Great racing. But honestly, you aren't showing a great "noob" experience. You've done all of this before, learned your lessons, "earned your speed". In general you are racing against folks who haven't ever done this before. I didn't catch your rating at the beginning, but if you are A plus rated in your last account, and you proved you know what you are doing by your quick jump to sport, you have a huge advantage over the competition. A lot of the dirty racing comes form folks really not knowing what they are doing. Someone tags them, they decide "F" It, and tag them or someone else because they are frustrated. All of that said, in general yes, the "sport mode is a cluster" is more self-fulfilling prophecy than anything. There are awful, filthy, mud-caked racers out there, but they aren't the majority.

I wonder if there's more respect in the Asian servers? Would be interesting to do a video on that

Dude.. i have tried alll of them with the exception that i have a Renn sport sitting in my mailbox. GT7 is amazing, man.. for what I'm looking for. And i have been having an amazing experience in sport mode. I got my safety to S on Friday, and now all i see is one or two nuckle heads in a race. Im running it on my CSL DD with Drive Hub, and once i got the FFB right off on the fanatec side, WOW 😊 the FFB is so lively and gives the right infor i need. As per the AI. Yea GT7 could use some AMS2 AI lol My only gripe is the 120hz mode. Its ass lol the resolution and anti-a takes a massive dip and just gives you jaggys and a screen door ? Idk but if they fix that id be on the 120hz all day.

Kind of a sim, but the recent f1 games do mostly have good drafting, I weave on the straights to break the tow, and many times if the ai are close enough they follow the weave to keep in the tow, or when you go defensive they follow you, than pull out of the tow to try and go for an overtake which they are pretty decent at

Just yesterday in A race with D drivers starting out like me I’ve been rammed off the road, tapped on formers to spin around (and get penalty for going off track) and brake checked when in slipstream to smash into the car in front in a long flat out straight. Others got no penalty. It can be frustrating.

Play a week everyday then lets see how you had got on. i just played a new game. brake checked immediately. rammed of next corner then hit from behind into barrier and got a 4 sec penalty. fished last and lost dr and sa. i did nothing wrong. you are just a egotistical moron mate. gt7 is a great game but it is flawed by cheating angry people. record 10 races a day for a week without incidence and i will apologize to you. what a joke man.

You over steer the car a lot which is where a lot of your spins come from, plus putting the foot down in a RWD when spinning is not the best of ideas, lay off the accelerator and wait for the tyres to gain grip again. Maybe turn the force feedback down. When you approach a corner you don't really turn until the apex and really steer hard and then correct. Practice smooth in smooth out and turn in one motion to the apex. Brake bias is key for entering corners, usually the rule of thumb is, RWD move it back, FWD move it forward. FF1600, is RWD. Install crew chief so you know when a car is aside you. Hope this helps.

If you want quick racing GT7 AND FORZA would be best for you. iRacing is a professional platform, the physics out perform console racing games. The graphics engine for iracing is supidly old, but for me i don't care as long as the physics are right. ACC isnt that pretty and has shiteee AA.

You can do better than Forza or GT7 when it comes to livery, you just have to learn photoshop or GIMP.

Casuals like yourself should stick to GT7 bumper car racing.

Visuals look great. They could improve the views of the surrounding, but generally it looks better than ACC for instance IMO. The style is better.

I tried this game out with a free game pass sub I got, and to be honest this game is a buggy mess. It really needs more time in the oven.

I was really scared to get into this, but to be quite honest, it's really not that bad. I've only ever had a couple incidents and those were punished accordingly. Overall, a good experience. Just drive well, as you would in real life, stay safe and don't be a dickhead, be patient and the rest will sort themselves out.

C'mon now, how are you going to come from a clearly winning account and start the online experience in GT7 with a new account as a "noob?" You may have tricked the game into putting you into races with actual noobs, but you still brought your skills and years of experience from your real account with you. Your racing etiquette is refined. Your driving skills have been perfected. Your instincts sharpened. Meaning you just drive better. You hit less things like walls and other cars, avoiding earned penalties. When hit, you recover with little or no effort. When hit, you have exponentially better chances of recovery, which translates into less unearned penalties resulting from assisted contact with other cars and punts off-track into walls. Overall, your skill level makes last to first races against true noobs and their collective mistakes a cake walk. Unfortunately, as well-made and well-intentioned as this video is; without a frontal lobotomy, you can never truly experience gt7 sport mode from the perspective of an average newcomer to gt7 again. Trust me, I've gotten punted without cause into the wall, got a penalty for wall contact, and watched the offending driver disappear in the distance penalty-free more than once in the past week when I began racing the dailies regularly. I've started most of those races in fields with 3 to 10 second ranges in qualifying times in the field which can be rightfully connected with the number of racers trying to enter that particular race at that specific time, yet I still question that there isnt some way to drastically tighten up the field. Anytime you've got that big of a range in driving skills, you're asking for trouble. New slow drivers all over the track. New fast drivers with no patience. None of them predictable... the skills and experience you have in the end means you just cannot share the experience of drivers new to gt7 today. Nice try, though. I watched the whole video, and for those ppl looking to learn, there is plenty of valuable information. Thanks

Sport Mode is trash. Simply a venue for online azz hats to ruin your racing day. Played about ten races, was knocked of the track at least twenty times. You have fun though.

SIM racing games aren't much fun than previous years arcade game like GTA San Andreas, Driver Parallel Lines, Driver San Farncisoc, Watchdogs. Its a shame to lose to any game that aren't really racing oriented game.

120 FPS with PS5 does not allow vrr like the Xbox series X. 4K 60 with the PS5 seems to be okay, the HDR causes ghosting. 120 HZ works better on Xbox series X at 1440 p no HDR thanks 🙏

You've got nothing good to say about iRacing. I've been using iRacing for over 14 years and I am by no means a fan boy but I think your take sounds like someone who prefers the console way of racing. No disrespect but I think you should probably stick to Forza and gt7.

As a complete newbie to multiplayer, this video gave me a lot of hope. I'm also a newbie skills-wise so I'm not going to be getting podium spots, but it looks like if I can get around the track without crashing I can do ok on some of these events.

I find that iRacing should change the graphics asap. The graphics don´t fit the physics and the effort put in this simulator. Especially when you see the newer graphics like rain, and compare it to the track when it´s dry. There is a thicc old layer that needs to be replaced. The maps are a real let down. The rest is all great, even the damage models. (and yes I just focus on graphics here, but that doesnt mean its my main focus, I just like to be immersed. I prefer EA WRC over RBR for example. Love the sim, but if it looks like a turd, it works against the experience.)

I'd definitely suggest leaving open setups ticked when browsing for a series. A lot of them, including the MX-5 and the GR86 that you were looking for, are almost fixed setup series anyway: You can use the setup called "baseline" or "fixed" (if the car also has a fixed series), or even better use an iRacing-provided setup for the specific track (just go to garage > iRacing setups). And these cars only offer a small amount of adjustable components, so if you are using a provided setup, your competitors won't have been able to tinker with too much anyway. It takes most people a long while to be fast enough for these bits of setup to really matter, it's all about the driver at first.

Great Breakdown! I also was very hooked on GT7 and passed the 700h mark when things got a bit stale. Now I am regularly attending races in the World Sim Series (WSS) in AC via the content manager (which is a must for modern AC). There is also a race licence/safety rating system in place incl. driver reports with stewards when you want to report a driver/incident. There are a lot of great events to choose from and some very entertaining stuff from third party organizer's on top (e.g. AUSSIE OLD SKOOL WORLD TOUR). It's a ton of fun and everything is for free after purchasing AC with all DLCs. You really should give it a try! I just don't know how crowded it is in your time zone as the vast majority of players seem to be from Europe.

The first couple of races, there where some not-so-gentleman driving, but I played nice so my S rating went to A. From there on everyone was nice. And I had to face how slow I was, so now comes the hard work.😁

Wouldn’t Dirt Rally 2 have been a better comparison? I agree with all your points but Dirt 5 is practically Forza Horizon 5. Both are on the more accesible side (to put it very nicely)

iRacing has insanly good Rain now. AC with the right mods is something else. You where a bit to generous with ACC (i love the game, and racing in the rain is real fun, but not 11 points good) Maybe we can get a part 2 with some new games, like AC2, Forza Motorsport, Rally Dakar, and the allready mentioned.

I feel like it's unrealistic if you're stopped mid corner and the entire field can avoid you... You are going to get hit by someone if you're just sitting there. It's how they figure out to get around after that sells me on the AI.. In a straight, they should be able to avoid you but not mid corner not every car... If they can then we need to be talking about their driving because they are definitely not pushing the limits of the car...

honestly the F1 area looks kinda cozy and honestly realistic. i've been to tracks like that at night, that honestly looks about right.

i gotta say though the rocks and shit on the tires in iracing genuinely caught me off guard pretty cool detail
