There are different causes of tinnitus so there is no overall cure. There is not one thing cures all.

I recovered within 8 days of suffering. It was really difficult-headaches and sharp stomach pain with nausea every time I woke up at night. But for the past two days, I haven’t felt anything. The symptoms have faded to just 1% in the background i hope good luck for you

I've had tinnitus for some years. It's loudest when I'm at home in the quiet working. Last week I had to take my car in for a service. I was walking aroung at the garage for over an hour while they were doing their stuff. It's only when I got home and started hearing the buzzing again that I realised I didn't hear or notice it at all the garage. So for me anyway it seems having my mind on something different cuts it out. The more I think about your video, the more it makes sense.

Julian Cowan is a gaslighter. all of that 'habituation' stuff is BS, NONE of the people have "overcome" or stopped their tinnitus, they say "i no longer hear it" but in every case when you dig deeper they reveal that it is still there, they hear it 24/7 but they don't CARE about it most of the time, that is not the same as not hearing it ..... they are all simply liying to themselves that they have "overcome" it as a cope, but the reality is they have all simply given up on ever getting back the quality of life they had before tinnitus....

Maybe this question has been asked already. Even if you don’t hear your tinnitus much. How loud would you say your tinnitus is/was? Can you hear it under the shower, on a busy road, during a show or only in quiet settings like the living room or bed room?

I have had it for almost a year but fortunately I got it when I was in my seventies and not in my twenties or thirties. I've seen an audiologist but I knew from looking at all the stuff on the internet that there was no cure. Thank you for your video. I very much appreciated what you had to say.

Your videos are so helpful and come from a very caring and loving place. It’s nice there’s no “sell” associated with your videos. Just a question on the use of ear buds, with noise cancellation, suppression technology, would you recommend using them? Did you use them? It’s essentially a mask but will it slow down recovery? I know short-term it will give me relief / take my mind off it, but long term I’m not sure. Thanks again!

I have tinnitus (3 different tones) since 2.5 years (L & R , right slightly less) !!!! Since spring 2024 I can watch TV & listen to the radio again , because first I could not stand the sound of music , and now I use music to "hide" my tinnitus !!!! At night I put my mobile half under my pillow , the speaker aimed at my left ear !!!! Also when I sit at my computer , I have my mobile phone pointed at my left ear , that way the sound will ‘hide’ my tinnitus !!!! Also when I am on the bus , train , .... , I listen to the radio through my mobile !!!! The reason I don't use headphones , this gives a completely different sound & effect which I can't even stand at all !!!! I hope my tinnitus will disappear one day !!!! It makes me completely nuts !!!!

As a hobby musician , I find a bit of peace when I play acoustic guitar !!!! Also another way that slightly drowns out my tinnitus , the shower !!!! I have a history of double & single ear infections , but I suspect .... my tinnitus stems from my neck muscles , in the 90s I survived a bad car accident !!!!

You're the best, Alice! Thank you. My vision issues came a year and a half after i got tinnitus (like a month ago). Probably all related to stress. Mindfulness has helped me sooooo much. Meditation, body scans, nature, exercise. Definitely a commitment but it's helped so many aspects of my life. Thanks again for taking the time to help us!!!!

I've had the snowy vision and tinnitus ever since I can remember, even as a child. It hasnt worsened or lessened over the years either (I'm 47 now). I dont think I have anxiety or experience more stress than the average person. Mine must be permanent.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your story and what was most helpful for you, Alice. I think positive reassurance might just be the best thing we can possibly do for our tinnitus. I also just listened to a 45 minute video on UA-cam by Dr. Vik Veer, an ENT doctor in England that just happened to develop tinnitus himself. His video is “How I Cured My Tinnitus“ and is also very good and reassuring. You guys in England are excellent communicators! Thanks again! 😊

Well, look at you! This is a great update. It shows, you are LIVING YOUR LIFE with Tinnitus! Thanks for sharing and remember to take your breaks and a breath. Thanks for the positive update that even with the ringing, you are still taking it day by day and being responsible. We must remember the early days of the ringing and how it took over life front and center and it felt impossible to face and go through life changes and transitions. Congratulations on your new space and changes.

Hey, Alice. I know you probably already know this, but I’ll say it anyway - remember we’re not your responsibility. The last thing I would want is for you to feel guilty or stressed about your updates on this channel, so I hope it’s not causing you aggro on top of everything else in your life right now. You already have a plethora of helpful material on your channel that people can use for support, not to mention other channels you’ve recommended - we will all be fine regardless of whether you upload every fortnight, okay? I’m in week 5 of tinnitus, and doing twenty times better than I thought I would be at this stage. I subscribed to Julian Cowan Hill’s Quieten App which has helped me set soft goals for learning acceptance and the motivation to look after myself better. I bought Joey Remenyi’s Rock Steady book on your recommendation and am almost a third through it. My current challenge is sleep - at night my head is full of dreams that wake me up every 3 hours or so. It’s annoying, but I’ve started making sure that every time I wake up, I notice how tense my body position is and then relax and readjust. I’m also refusing to use maskers or other music or sound to “cover up” the tinnitus at night to accelerate habituation. It’s slow going, but I have noticed that the dreams have shifted from frantic scenarios like being chased by monsters or falling off cliffs to more mundane scenarios like wandering through hotels or bumping into old friends. It might not be, but I’m considering this progress. Anyway, thanks for being the one who started me on this positive path!
