Mine blows 20a circuit breaker in panel when I hit start. Any ideas what could cause this? I read online capacity failure possibly? I am going to tear it down.
Most likely the magnetron. You can disconnect the wires from the magnetron, make sure they don’t touch anything or you and hit start. There is no feedback mechanism to the brain box so if the magnetron is faulty the microwave will just buzz and the turntable rotate.
Thank you, and thanks for recommendations on fix, I checked it out, It ended up being a issue with the switch on the door. The second switch from bottom. If I plug switch in the fuse blows. If i disconnect switch microwave works fine. I left disconnected for now, will order new switch. Thanks great video. @enginord
You are welcome. So when the switch is closed it’s pulling it to ground (neutral) and tripping the breaker? That’s strange. Hope you can fix it.
Yes, it appears to have multiple safety switches, for this switch if circuit is closed it blows fuse (it checks for door open with power to magnatron). I found solution in below video link. Same issue I was having exactly ! Thanks, you have great videos, I'm sure I will need to replace other parts some day, it gets a lot of use! ua-cam.com/video/sT8oFuHiZUk/v-deo.htmlsi=asVNN_hKJUhA_TMv
Since you paid extra for the weight savings, you need to upgrade your cassette, a lot more weight saving there compared to the one you have.
Yeah. There are 200 gr difference between the chepo and expensive cassettes. This weight hits hard cause you both carry it and spin it. I might do it in the future.
You must be an xc racer to pay the extra for the weight savings . The xt feels and shifts exactly the same to me, both are awesome.
The beauty of physics, mathematics and the human brain!
Very well explained and thank you. In my opinion that's not a good design. When you torque the cranc pin nuts, surely there must be some movement on the opposite end of the flywheels and therefore also on the center shafts which means the two shafts are not 100% aligned? I just dont like it i suppose.
To get a broken blade out all you need to do is hole the button that releases at and use the saw.
Play Through The Fire and Flames next.
Do not touch the measuring stones with your hands! Wear gloves!
Thanks for the advice. I didn’t have my metrology gloves with me. These gauge blocks went through hell already, not sure if the oils on my hand will cause them any harm.
Good job!
I got one I haven't used it yet hopefully it won't smoke interestingly the sale was yu buy one tool yu get one free it came with a other tool
Super nice look! Once I replace my Cannondale FSi this will be the successor
Cool vid and v obscure soundtrack selection 👌 love it all!
Hi Caesar. I’m glad you found it interesting. I’m trying to balance the gore and nonsense videos, one cool machining video at a time.
Your supposed to put a special oil in your grinder. Think it's called air tool oil, it's supposed to go into the hole for the quick disconnect. But that failed sealed bearing is an issue. But judging by the water in the lines you have not been draining your air tanks or running a dryer on your compressor
Wow! I need this for my Lefty Hub. What does it cost? Really like it!
Just use a cassette remover tool
@@enginord It's not the same. That is slightly smaller, i think
Do you have the CNC file for me? Best regards Felix
Very very cool, what are you using for the fluid simulation?
Hello Manny. Glad you found it useful. The gear profile was generated with matlab script. Models were built in creo. Analysis was done in CFX.
The beat is so relaxing in my bass boosted crusher headphones from skullcandy no this comment isn’t a sponsor 😂great work brother charge for ur time
How are you gonna make such beautiful legs and then use that ratchet ass plywood for the top? I know it’s a work table but cmon man.
It’s functional. Has multiple indentations to engage the saw’s feet so that it does not walk off. Hard to do that from steel.
Cabrio platinum
Nice fix. I am glad you were able to save it from the dump!👏 What a drag to have to climb the roof just to change the dang batteries. It needs a small solar panel and maybe a 3.7 V lithium rechargeable cell, perhaps harvested from a solar light?
Hopefully these bearings will last another season or two. You are right. Solar panels would work better, i’m not sure about lipo batteries though in a -20_F to +110F environment.
@@enginord No simple solution, I'm afraid. Our solar lights & automotive batteries take a beating here in the SW desert. CCA (cold cranking amps) are not much of a factor here! Painting the housing/ battery box with white elastomeric roof coating may help.
Can the hairdryer still work if you cut out the heating coils? Looking to modify so the heat function is completely disabled
Not really. Some of those coils are connected with the motor in series, thus they limit the voltage.
Thanks bud!
You bet!
😅 this is more exciting than the real thing
Thanks Man. Appreciate your comment !
Fantastic. Thank you for the video
И чё?!
How many kidneys will I have to sell in order to buy that machine?
You mean the lights?

Just go for 35-40 NM, with 4 bolts you can't go wrong.
First thought is press brake punch, but with the 90 it probably isnt. Maybe some sort of stamping tool ?
One side says: W. F. Jennigs. The other one says: 1960 - so this is an Apollo-era tool
What does it say on the other side?
西元 1960 年…^^~
Since the failure is unconfirmed, will you keep the unit as a spare? I think it's actually cool that the 2 pumps are at least able to be disassembled and possibly repaired- a lot of the washer pumps are sealed shut. It also sounds like the notorious 6005/6006 bearings are still good, and the tub seal is still holding. Thanks for your video!
I’ll hold on to it as a spare. I replaced the main bearings a couple years ago. There is a video somewhere…
Krásná práce 👍
Djákujem Pékné!
Top d+!!!!!!🇧🇷
POS i used this a total of 5 times then it stopped press trigger nada battery fully charged 😤
Our Frigidaire Microwave interior light comes on, but the screen is dead. Any ideas?
does it beep when you press buttons? Is there voltage on the control board?
@@enginord No beeps, just the interior door light comes on. I haven't checked the control board though and I'm not a technicion by any means.
I have electric log splitter force The Pusher is broke can you tell me where can I get that part
try emailing yardmax. they're pretty responsive.
Maybe the magnetic field from the stator coils was making the mesh rattle, if it wasn't rubbing on the rotor.
Hi Jimmy. Thanks for the comment. I think you’ve opened my eyes on something. I just looked again and realized the internal fan is made out of sheet metal. A solid piece of ferromagnetic metal in an alternating magnetic field. What could possibly go wrong with that?! :) I’ll probably swap that fan out for a plastic or aluminum one in addition to the sound dampening panels. Stay tuned!
Very nice implementation of your project! Good job!👍 I used to work at a place that used something similar, a Georator, to convert shop power into 400 Hz 3 phase aircraft power for some of our test equipment. They take a beating, having a lot of run time, but are reliable. I think it would make a big difference if you would place those acoustic panels around the motor for noise suppression, as long as there is cooling air flow.
Thank you @springpan. I’ll work on getting those acoustic panels installed. I got to make sure they’ll not cause additional noise because of the large, open surface area. I had my buddy in the shrine yesterday and when he stepped in the PC was running and he said it’s a lot quieter. It’s a pity I don’t have a sound power meter. Yet.
I have been nurturing my anilam for years as you and remember a comment you made about people, in essence, tossing out old machines. I suspect that you, like me, seem to resonate when an old anilam is getting pushed out the door. there seem to be more anilam machines closer to their eastern origin so I wanted to ask to let me know if you see an old machine appearing ready for a second life. what I imagine would be fun would to find is a bed mill with a tool changer that has AC motors. I further imagine installing my spare parts to make it have all the cool features. What have you seen that is not in the resellers overpriced unicorn stable?
agree with you. a lot of old machines are getting tossed out. 20/20 hind sight I should have gutted my machine and put more recent operating system on it. would have taken 1 yr instead of 4 years. right now it works, but I'm always looking to have spare parts like the servo motor & amplifier.
This saw is a piece of crap. Mine started making ominous noises on the first big job. Thanks to your vid, I see that it's basically disposable.
@renohuskerdu4592 like everything else these days. those powder-metal gears can fail 1000 ways. also there is no fail safe mechanism in the linkage. the motor spins at 10-20 kRPM and if there is a sudden impact that rotating mass will represent a ton of inertia.
What do you think, will they ever bring back the show to Yack? Did COVID kill off everyone with interest?
I’ve heard from Dick Triemstra that it is all done. But him and a few other people are looking at putting it on somewhere else because it is still popular.
Sometimes I'm glad youtube doesn't have smell-o-vision, but maybe this time I'd enable it.
Most of the machinery ran on compressed air - but yeah, the atmosphere was special.
Now do it on a full one....
You boys should do some bud light cans
Try starting fluid
I just shat myself
I hope it's recoverable :)
I like this! Ironically, I found your channel via searching for log splitter repair info, because I am making a bigger version for compacting plastic bottles. I'll have a 14 x 7 x10 inch box and matching piston. The motor in my old splitter had totally seized-up due to water getting in and rusting the rotor and stator together. After fixing that, I had to replace the capacitor, and it's running!
hey noimagination99! I hope you found the content useful. there are two more repair videos for the same log splitter on my channel. you can see some of the internal workings of the tool. Cheers!
Interesting! I'm pretty sure the inductor functions to smooth the choppy waveform that the rectified SCR Dimmer output creates. You could easily demonstrate this by bypassing the inductor with a piece of wire. Also, I think the edge of the binder clip shorted the thermocouple wires. I've seen it before, and it is exactly what causes a known good thermocouple to have no response to temperature change.
thanks for the note on the binder clip. I did not think about that, but I'm sure that caused it to short. I got a second heavy duty thermocouple for monitoring now. stay tuned for some heat treating videos.
