    Question - If you tighten the collet for the first operation, will the spring underneath be strong enough to keep the parts consistently at same height compared to the alignment jig? I understand that length of the flats is not that critical but it would still be nice to have them consistent?
    How did you pick up center of roller hole relative to "tappet's center of the universe"?

      Hello Sven. thanks for the question. I believe the clamp force due to the 5C collet squeeze is 10-100 higher than what the coil spring can exert. the parts height is being set by the C-shaped fixture. I'd say the results are fairly consistent. I laid out in CAD the roller Cl relative to the bottom of the pocket.
