Motz or vanilla stalker overhaul mod which better?

I wanted to play some games from when I was younger where you drive a tank and command an RTS on the side kinda like battlezone reboot or some others, anyways I had known about this game on steam and never went for it until the other day. Thanks for some of these vids to help me get my bearings, this ended up satisfying that nostalgia better than those tank games even if it is clunky in some areas or frustrating I find it enjoyable in a weird way, graphics and music are nice too.

He only top up is that be sure you get torps from base as soon as you start the game. Torps are amazing but you use them quickly!!

How do you block cruise missiles?

You can also change the brightness of each screen and move your headlights up/down. I like my headlights up so I can see my other carriers and the waves.

Never got much past x18 so I’m gonna rerun with motz mainly due to the soldiers I lied I decided on radiophobia 3

First time I used a TV missile it was at night, and I got turned about a bit and went for the first lights I saw. Sure enough I realised it was the front of my carrier just before impact. No problem. The CIWS got fixed.

Fascinating - I played and won (a few times) the original Carrier Command on Atari ST some years ago. The quickest way (cheating ? ) turned out to eventually come across the enemy Carrier and destroy it. All good fun and good memories.

I just wish I was capable of hitting a small-ish target at long range. I'm even using an extended aiming line and it's still not enough.

Thanks for the tutorial, bro. I've been playing Highfleet for over a year now but I never understood the specialty of each missile type until now. Now I know how to stick it to the Gathering and their strike groups without having to hoard hundreds of incendiary and laser guided shells =DDD

Naval Action or even Pirates of Caribbean Online back in the day is more engaging than this.. although it seems they're mirroring both games

The state of the AAA/AAAA(😂) gaming industry 😢 Played the remaster of tomb raider yesterday. That's a game. No woke shit, no helpers or pointers. No map. Just a game that you have to think about to advance. Indie games and remakes is all that is fun nowadays. The likes of EA, Ubi etc are a joke.

I don't agree with it conceptually. Funnelling people through relatively infinitesimal pathways in open space is a contradiction to logistical efficiency. One might also question what need is there for couriers when jumpgate technology exists. I mean would it not be conceivable for every major complex to simply build a gate into their production line, changing co-ordinates as needed? Mission scale is so bizarrely small. These missions are like a ETS/ATS contract if you cut it down by 98% in terms of actual driving distance. Visuals are nice though.

so spoiler on the "cruise control". reach the speed you want in the straight and then disable flight assist, and you will free float as it uses the concept of momentum (found in other space games), remember to enable when needing to turn unless you planning to drift turn.

I agree with you on this game needing a cruise control. The lack of it is a bit irritating if you're used to it on other trucksims. But overall it looks like a very fun game. Who says space games always have to be about shooting down bad guys eh ?

Video is Incomplete, lemme fill in: you find hidden cities by asking caravans, using ground radar and such, they are very useful for this. certain events will affect morale too, this depends on how you reacted to previous events as well.

A lot of browsers and software like chrome or fusion 360 have search bar calculators, a notepad w/ that built in would promote the use of these features but right now a lot of people cannot be bothereed, imagine being that one friend who plays games with a scientific calculator.

Strike groups can spot your aircraft, follow them back, send missiles along their trajectory or send interceptors. This usually happens when the SG spots your aircraft, which they have a hard time with unless you attack them.

is this supposed to be based off starship troopers?

This kind of reminds me of the Mercenaries games where you could call in stuff to your position like resupply or airstrikes.

I loved your Startruck videos. I liked to hear your feedback along the way. I have played the demo myself just now (with controller). I found the game to be very enjoyable. but that was to be inspected, because I like Euro truck as well. I know you haven't listend to the music on the radio. But I was wondering if you or any of your abbonees knew what songs were on the radio. Shazam would not work. Again great video. I had the tempature thing happen to me too. The battery of the temp is low or broken. Which needs to be replaced. You can find it at the same level as the space suit, but on the other side. Above or under the oxygen.

found a way to go back to the job board without re-docking, just get up and walk to the airlock, you will see an icon and the door will be blue, Oh and what it breaks is your climate control, is on the upper side, opposite side of your suit, where the oxygen panel

Fun demo, I grabbed it last night. I like the repair system similar to Alaskan road truckers. But the idea of trucking in space with the Back to the Future 2 hover car vibe is a ton of fun!

Space Truckers from 1996 springs to mind just without the killer robots.

I have been told there is a climate control panel to the left of the airlock (opposite the space suit) that has a circuit board inside that can short circuit. I think your freezing issue might be resolved there.

The docking mini game looks pretty slick! You’ve inspired me, gonna try this one when I get home from work tonight!
