    Great video and very timely. I'm working on a Dream Big panel from Hoffman and I'm running out of design ideas. I will definitely be using the first design and possibly the second as well. Thank you so much, Kate!

    Kate, you have given another video with so much information. Did you match the thread color to your nail polish or nail polish to thread color? lol!

    • @katequinnoffabquilts
      @katequinnoffabquilts  2 роки тому

      Not intentionally. I see that sometimes it is close but I usually paint me nails with whatever is in good condition. Not too old or sticky -haha. I do like the same colors a lot too though.

    Do you polish your grid glider with the recommended polish. Mine is not allowing my fabric to slide well.

      The polish will make a major difference. I do polish mine and it makes it work like it’s been Pledged. It doesn’t leave any residue on fabric either.

    There's a lot of lint on that fabric. Need to go over it with something before sewing on it.

    Hi Kate, are you using a westerlee ruler foot? I am just getting the hang of my first Janome machine and about to start doing some ruler work.

      When I am using my Janome 9450, I use the Janome foot that comes with my machine.

      @@katequinnoffabquilts ok thanks Kate. I have an s9 and am not sure if the westerlee high shank foot will work. The Janome foot I’ve seen used is the adjustable one. I can’t see the need for it as the machine will allow me to adjust the height of the foot. Have only just found your channel, learning so much! Thank you.

      @@mcozbeagle the s9 is high shank so the Westalee will work for it.
