Olympus XA Rangefinder Adjustment How To
Is the Bill Rogers photography store still in business? It’s been 3 years since any viddos were posted here. Thank you.
You literally saved me an hour trip to the camera store!!! Thanks soooo much for this!!
thank you! i pulled my x-700 out of the closet for the first time in 6 years and got really sad thinking it was broken
You are the man! Thank you!!
Just got an AE-1 Program from eBay Japan and it was re assembled wrong and I thought it was broken. The spring was in the wrong place. Thank you!!!
Unfortunately, I have changed the battery but the lever is still stuck😢
Great . Thank you
god bless you man, you saved my day
This was very helpful. You definitely made it look easy. Took me about 15mins of fiddling, but I finally got the lens off. Now to move on to the stuck Shutter winder. Thanks
So I just inherited this camera, I replaced the batteries with the proper sr/lr44 equivalent yet my problem ceases to subside, any other suggestions?
I think ive mounted an uncocked to a cocked. Can fire the camera, cock with the lever, the lens fires but the ring wont budge
*2024* Hi there! You don't need to "damage" the body, the key is to hold the shutter lever forward, while turning the lens ring counterclockwise (Pro SD)
Thank you 👍
Best tech video ever on the RZ67. Knowledgeable, short, speedy, to the point!
"Make sure to check the alignment at every turn, once your happy with your adjustments glue it back on" Can someone please explain for a complete newb how I know when I should be happy with my alignment? What am I looking for? What even is the alignment? :) I just read in a reddit forum that I should check this video before starting to take photos with a new roll.
My XG-1 camera has a very stiff power switch and nothing in it works even tho I have the battery. I wanted to get it fixed myself so I don’t have to spend even more money for someone else to look at it for 5 minutes. The shutter button does nothing and the film advance lever gets stuck. Please help
That happened to mine too. Any updates on the fix? If so please let me know what to do
@@danielsolovyov6741 I couldn’t fix it. The camera started using both batteries per every single picture and then it completely broke.
Thanks so much for this! This video helped me remove a faulty lens which got the caulking lever stuck half way.
I love you, sir. Thank you for being the last only reason I didn’t put my pop pops camera back in storage for another 15 years
What about the other 3 out of 4 that still have a broken camera ?????????????????????????????????????????????
This is a really great video. Now to move to the next part of how to deal with a jammed shutting cocking level. :-)
Actually shoots 6x10!
Thanks for great solution 😊
this helped me aim a beginner in film camera and my dumb self didnt even know that it had a battery. I checked the battery and lo and behold it didnt have one hahah thanks
Thx
Thank you. I love your IG Page. So much detail. I plan on sending you my 7II for a CLA soon.
I changed the battery and still nothing... im lost haha
it took a second but this is what it was. thanks so much
What happens when you change the batteries and it still won't advance?
It Worked! - Thanks!
mine literally broke while I was on the BEACH and this video was so simple and helpful. I completely fixed it, thank you so much <3
Thankyou !
What size screw does the plastic top need?
Can you tell me how to remove a stuck rear lens cap cover from the lens of an rz67? The lens is not attached to body. Thanks
Just purchased an XGM from an antique store, it had the “passed”sticker but I assumed it was broken. Batteries are on the way!
You've saved my xg7 from a (probable) death under the screw driver.
Didn't work for me
Thank you guys so much!!! You saved me at least 30 Euros!
i found this video to fix a broken pentax that someone gave me but i can’t fix it bc there is no hole to put the needle in, there is a screw type of thing in the hole?? do you know what this is? and how i can fix it?
Had hoped this would fix my XG-1! It didn’t unfortunately… Advance lever is stuck. BC turns on, when I flick between off and on, the light meter will react in A or the camera will show M in manual mode. Selftimer runs up to about 8 sec then nothing. After each shutter button press, I need to flick the power wheel. Any clue what’s going on here?
When I stuck a screwdriver in between the rewind fork, one of the fork heads broke off 👍 thank you so much for helping me break my Canon AE-1!
sounds like ur shit was fucked to begin with
Thanks you so much for this! I have the AV-1, my fathers old camera, and I am very grateful that you verified that it does NOT have the same rewind knob as shown in your instruction since I'm looking to buy spare parts. The knob (silver plastic part) is broken on mine. The crank works but the whole assembly feels really fragile. This confirms that I need to look for a AV-1 specific rewind knob spare part! (or 3D-print a plastic replacement) Again, thank you! Best Regards, Michael from Sweden. 👍
Did you end up finding a video for this? Have the same camera and my knob completely broke off
@@isaihdz23 no unfortunately not. Mine still works but is really fragile and I have to be careful when rewinding. My best bet would be to look for a used AV-1 camera body on second hand for spare parts.
Excellent video ! Though how do I rewind the shot film after reinstalling the knob, without being able to tighten the inside rod?
My 50mm gets stuck every time i try to advance Any ideas of why this can be happening? Thanks a lot :)
My rewind knob on the AE-1 is missing. Where can I purchase one or can I make something that will work?
Just a note on the different versions of the rewind knob. Although as noted by the presenter on this video, the rewind knob part number for the AL-1 is different than that of the AE-1 Program, it is, however, identical in fit, form and function. I have just fitted one. The AL-1 knob can therefore be used as a direct replacement for the AE-1 Program. Broken complete AL-1's can be found cheaper than the knob alone for the AE-1 Program on the second-user market!!
You should post these shorts on Instagram Bill!
Just picked one up from a swap meet I have this problem and hope that’s all. It’s in rough shape on the outside but the inside looks unopened
Had a stuck C lens on a Pro SD, and thought the paperclip trick would work, but it didn't. As Bill explained it to me, the ring must be able to turn, mine wouldn't budge. I reached out and he graciously gave me some pointers. Followed his advice and off it came! Thank you Bill! Like and Sub earned and then some. All you Mamiya guys out there spread the word! This guy knows his S&!t....
Can you share the solution? I Also have a C-lens stuck on a SD. The ring is completely stuck and there is no way to get the leatherette off. Not sure if it is able to come off. Looks very different than shown in de video.
Same problem today! I just have one screw on my pro sd body there’s no extra hole to insert a paper clip into
Rather than saying what you said, a better thing to have done would be to share the solution in your comment... smh
Apologies folks... The lens was simply stuck, to much tension. I used a rubber strap wrench and applied a small amount of pressure. That's all it took...
I tried cleaning the battery housing but still does not work
You should normalize your audio. The levels are all over the place.
