How hard it is to remove the lenses from the XA?
I have one with a lot of fungus and another to use it as as donor but haven't tried to make the exchange yet.
Any special tool I should use?

My XA's frame counter is broken, I'd be curious to see how to open up the top of the camera to get to it.

"Make sure to check the alignment at every turn, once your happy with your adjustments glue it back on" Can someone please explain for a complete newb how I know when I should be happy with my alignment? What am I looking for? What even is the alignment? :) I just read in a reddit forum that I should check this video before starting to take photos with a new roll.

so from time to time, the needle meter on the viewfinder sometimes not showing the accurate shutter speed, so this video explains how to adjust it to the correct speed. You need to adjust it not only by doing the one in this video but also need a lightmeter or another camera to compare with. I hope this will help.

I know these are old comments, but just in case anyone reads them- no, he's not adjusting the needle that indicates shutter speed. This is for accurate focusing. The original XA is a rangefinder, which means it uses a little secondary lens to project a 'ghost image' over a small patch in the center of the viewfinder. Once you line up the ghost image of the object you're shooting with what you see in the viewfinder, the object is in focus. This needs to be calibrated sometimes, which is what he's doing in the video.
