That first song is Buckeye Battle Cry! Played that many times in High School... The second song is the French National Defile'... These were two songs from my high school's Pre Game show.

Visually it's great. However, the acoustics in the stadium are horrible so you can't really hear them playing.

A few of the stadiums are farther away from each other than I think you realize. Levi stadium and SoFi stadium are both in California yes, but 352 miles (566.5 km) apart.

@8:30 is a rivalry college basketball game between the Temple University Owls and the Saint Joseph's University Hawks. Both universities are in Philadelphia. The Temple fans are mocking the SJU tradition of chanting "I believe the hawk is alive" by chanting "I believe the hawk is dead" because Temple is winning.

The Best Damn Band in the Land. In front of over 100,000 people.

THE Ohio State band was declared, The Best Darn Band In the Land, by a former president. The march Military style 8 steps to 5 yard to keep the line perfect as possible. There is a long history for this band, including the fact that up until the late 90's it was an all male band. This is percision marching. and Everything is based on hostory of that which had come before. There are exactly 2 steps between each member in the script OHIO. A senior Tuba player always dots the "I" and it is a great hornor to do so. They also always acknowlege the visitng team. Lots of respect, even for Michigan.

I wish you could have seen an aerial view of this. Being that this was recorded on the field, it takes away from the precision of what you were watching.

We call them "The Best Damned Band in the Land". The "Dude" in the Red Coat and Tall hat is called a "Drum Major". "In the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" (Shirer), it is written that Hitler was introduced to this style of American marching band, and the music had HIM up and marching around the room. Hence, the NAZI's demonstrations involving music and march--designed to inflame nationalist passions. The performance they are doing is called "Script Ohio", where they spell out the name of the province in which the university resides. Precision is key in this maneuver. Dotting of the "I', is a special honor. They've had notables do it, in front of 110,000 people in the stadium, and millions more on TV.

As someone who lived in Columbus Ohio as a kid and lived a couple blocks away from the stadium we went to every home game and the band never disappoints.

IN MY VIEW You are able to experience, through only watching a video, what it is like to being excited at our games. Being AT the game is insane!

I know in High school the band had it's bus and the team had their bus to travel to the away game... but generally they are going to another STATE, so MAYBE they have a team plane/flight and a Band flight? Not sure, they might just buy out enough seats on commercial flights... not suire. My daughter was born in OH. We didn’t know she was a she until birth. My husband kept insisting that if it was a boy we call him “Bucky”.
