Considering how hot Dallas, Houston and Atlanta all get in summer, fans and players will very much appreciate that the stadiums in those cities are indoors, with AC and climate control. Dallas and Houston regularly go past 40C (104 F), and Atlanta regularly gets up to 35 C (95 F) with high humidity.
With the World Cup expanding to 48 teams, I think most future hosts are going to be made up of multiple nations. There's really only a handful of countries that would be capable of hosting a 48 team tournament by themselves. The USA, England, Germany for sure....Italy? Spain? Brazil?....are there any others?
So one thing i have noticed is none of the stadiums used have a mlb franchise. I have to assume that plays a role in why Toronto is using BMO rather then Roger's center. The bmo field gets the same reaction on every video i have seen and thats because the Toronto fc are very much a fourth tier team in the city. The Toronto blue jays of the MLB play effectively across the street in a proper stadium
Rogers Centre has been renovated and its not a cookie cutter multipurpose stadium anymore. The outfield area has now been changed. Which you cannot fit a CFL field and Soccer field in that anymore.
When BC Place was renovated in 2010/11, it's new retractable roof cost as much as the stadium itself cost to build in 1983. Fun fact: it was modelled after the roof of Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt.
Vancouver and B.C. place is an excellent choice. Up to 2010 it held up to 60, 000 people. Then it got renovated the following year. They spread out the seats for more comfort for fans. But lost 6000 plus seats.
A few of the stadiums are farther away from each other than I think you realize. Levi stadium and SoFi stadium are both in California yes, but 352 miles (566.5 km) apart.
If you’re reacting to marching bands you should react to the Southern State University Marching band. Historically Black University have a different style of marching more like dancing than other bands
The stadiums and cities are being broken up into regions: West, Central and East to make the travel easier. If a team wins in Guadalajara, their next match would be in Los Angeles, not Atlanta.
I've heard AT&T Stadium may host the final, but I've also heard it may be MetLife Stadium. It would be a mistake to hold it at MetLife. AT&T is a far superior stadium, and it is also in the Central time zone. It would be ridiculous for a team to play a semi-final match at SoFi Stadium in the Pacific time zone, then have to fly across the entire continental United States to play the final in the Eastern time zone. Like in 1994 when Italy had to play their semi-final match in New Jersey, then fly across the country to play Brazil at the Rose Bowl where Brazil had played their semi-final match.
FIFA can't let New York down the bid book said that at&t and MBS will host the semifinals and Metlife will host the final plus imagine in four years the winnin team in the final lifts the trophy and fireworks sooting on top of metlife will be sick even though its in new jersey
@@kingjoshtheskigod Yep. They may well wind up hosting the final, and it's not that MetLife is a bad stadium. It's actually a pretty nice one, just not as good as AT&T. Wherever it is, I hope to be there. Going to a World Cup Final would be incredible!
@@kingjoshtheskigod which also means that SoFi isn’t climate controlled, which is weird for a domed stadium. However, any prevailing coastal winds are directly fed into the interior, per design. Those winds do effectively cool the stadium down a bit.
No no no it's not even close to 4 years. The thing it's in June. Going to be hectic as the qualfying period has been cut short.6 months is a lot let's say 3 games in 2 months.Total 9 games and what about the playoffs on top of that inter continent palyoffs as well.Just imagine and the travel time for example from Asia to States is almost 24 hrs.If it's direct the players health is also important.By all means the teams should be there a week earlier or more.Whatever soccer tornament held in States not bad every other game will be revenue. Imagine the least will be more than 60k spectators in a stadium.
our stadiums are a lot smaller because we only have about 1/10th the population of the US lol. it's very cold up here so we're not really expecting a tonne of tourists

Tough, probably China but I don't think they get a world cup soon, Netherlands and maybe australia if they resure rugby stadiums🤷♂️
the light rail for seattle goes to the airport, stadium, downtown which makes it perfect for hotels

SoFi in LA, AT&T in Dallas and MBenz in Atlanta are fantastic.
Pity that Vegas didn't put in a bid.
That's true but I believe they play in summer, which makes every stadium actually okay
I am also a big fan of the arena in Vancouver
@@marvinreacts2227 Allegiant is domed it wont be too hot
They did put in a bid but it was cut before the overall bid was submitted.

OK that's a good point, I haven't heard news about metlife stadium, but it makes sense to me

Also At&t Stadium's roof is rectractable so it can be both indoors and outdoors unlike sofi which is domed
Not quite. Despite having a roof, the sides of SoFi are open, so the outside temperature is a factor. If it's 75 outside, it will be 75 inside.

@@XX2Media its not weird because it isnt really truly domed
@@XX2MediaTechnically it's not a dome. The roof is more like a canopy due to the open sides.
@2:45 that mountain looks like a painting
True😂 but I did research this mountain is like 1 to 2 km away from the stadium
