Daft as it might seem BLUES will be more relaxed away from home. At home they are under massive pressure to score the first goal. Away from home if they continue to deprive the opposition of possession they can grow into the game and hopefully score a few goals BLUES to win 3 - 1

Totally agree. Leave Sanderson, Laird and Dembele alone. Okay to comment negatively about them after a match. But don't keep on about them as being weak links. They're top players. I’m not bothered if we signed Stansfield or not I think he is overhyped there are just as good players available for far less money he is not the be all and end all. Plus, I don’t really see him as an out and out striker more as a number 10 we have enough number 10 options within the squad already. so rather than sign him as a makeshift striker, why not look for someone who is an out and out striker that can learn from Alfie May?

My main concern is after watching our first two games is we are struggling to create chances and score goals, aside from from May where do the goals come from.

If Allsop has been told he’s competition for peacock-Farrell in net and after his performance in the cup, what more would he have to do to start Saturday? I think Davies is a fair coach and might give the nod to Allsop against his old team? Either way we’ll have a solid keeper starting!

Hi lads. Some good points raised. Personally i can't see Donavon going out on loan as he's too young - unless it's a very local team like Walsall for instance. Hall needs to ne loaned as he won't get the time in our squad this year, plus his injury lost him a year so he needs game time. My starting eleven for Saturday:- Allsop - looks more composed than BPF Laird - a little early for Stansted to start, but i bet he gets the last 30mins especially if Laird doesn't improve his crossing. Beilik and Klara - this will be our new defensive pairing. Sanderson will have his wirk cut out getting back in the first team now especially since we seem to be in the market for another CB. Cochrane -no brainer. Exceptional player. Feel for Buchanan as he's decent once fit. Paik and Leonard in midfield. Need another CM Torn on LM. I'll go with Keshi, but only because he's stronger than Miyoshi. Hanson - because he's quality. Just hope he improves on his final pass. Not an easy game for Blues but we will create chances v The Chairboys. I went with 2 - 0 on your last video but i've chopped and changed with regards to how many we will score and if we will concede or not. But i will stick with the 2 - 0 win as opposed to a 1 - 0 or 2 - 1 win. As we know, we really struggled (understatement 🤣🤣) on the road last season, but I anticipate that we will be fair much better away from home this season. I think that when we play away, teams will have to make more of a go of things and not play with a low block, and that will really suit us and the way we want to play. Our biggest challenge I feel will be playing at home with teams more often than not coming to stop us playing rather than having a go. That being said, Reading caused us more than a few problems with their very limited possession, which was concerning to see. But as you both rightly say, it's still very early days. The away fans always travel well and deserve to see Blues win way more than they've been used of late. As for the home crowd. Fans need to be patient, but having said that, Blues need to play much more on the front foot. What we don't want and need is the fans that get very, very negative and at its very worst toxic. At the Reading game some of the things being directed at the team and the bench were in the toxic category. I want the players to be able to play with freedom both home and away. As a crowd, we need to do more, and as a team, they need to do a lot more, too. Saturday was just calling out for a crunching tackle or a rallying cry and rousing from our skipper. I still think we need a proper captain, but I do understand why Bielik was chosen given the options available. It will be really interesting to see the starting line-up and on the bench. Especially with only being allowed to name 7 players on the bench in the league makes it all the more difficult to pick the right squad and keep everyone as happy as possible. Disappointing to hear George Hall will be going out on loan, but I do get that decision, just a shame for the lad that injuries have really affected his ability to get the minutes he needs to become the player that he has shown the potential to become. Gutted, that the Jay Stansfield signing looks dead in the water. I cling onto a little bit of hope that we still might get him in, but that looks like it won't be before this window closes, but you never know!!! 🤣🤣 What we can't do is hang around, so I'm sure that other targets have been identified as we 100% need another decent striker. The competition for places in the vast majority of positions looks really good. The Charlton game proved this, and that can only be a good thing for the overall success of the season. I think we really need the 3 points as getting off to a good start is so important, and 4 points from the first two games would represent a good start. 1 definitely wouldn't be, and 2 points would be disappointing. However, 2 points wouldn't be the end of the world. 1 would put us under the microscope from outside noise and, unfortunately, a small section of internal microscopes as we saw and heard following the Reading game. We desperately need another striker who can put the ball in the net inside the box. I fear if May goes down who is filling that role game in game out? No Stansfield or Dolan we need to concentrate on a full out striker who loses markers inside the box and has shooting on their mind. KRO

Its a curious acquisition because he seems to be very similar to Hansson. Imagine he'll only start in the BSM cup, but could be quite exciting. Noticeable on Tuesday that Miyoshi was interpreting for him on the bench when he was about to come on before the red card, so he's got a bit of acclimating to do. Big change from Tosu to Brum and from J1 to L1 without going to Belgium or Netherlands first.

Need someone on the right that will put balls into the box early , Laird and Miyoshi always tend to beat the defender but then play the ball backwards , letting the opponents defence to get set again and defend the cross when it eventually gets played

Keshi looks full of confidence which is good to see. 2-0 Blues for me if Klara starts. We were a little slap dash to start off with against Charlton with our passing but as soon as the goal went in we looked good. KRO
