Thank you for your comment Frank. The progress last night was clear and represented a great stepping stone in pre-season. Hopefully we can now build on that and at the same time not pick up and silly injuries. The excitement is definitely building! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Another great video lads, even the way they’ve updated and improved the Birmingham app last month shows these owners are trying to leave no stones unturned. I also liked the posts they’ve been putting out just before announcing new signings to engage the fans. A real nice breath of fresh air after all these years of seeing no real effort from previous owners
Thank you for your comment Logan and we are pleased you enjoyed the video. I must admit I like the posts the club put out just before announcing new signings as well, very clever. The owners are really turning the club around in every aspect and after years of neglect it is fantastic to see! KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Thank you for your comment. It really is an exciting time to be a Bluenose that is for sure. Things are building nicely toward the new season and most Blues fans can’t wait for the season to start! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Gary and Matt just want to say how much sense you talk about the game totally agree with what you said today. Watched the game yesterday what a massive improvement from sat we moved the ball so fast and well the high press was perfect the players looked fit I was really impressed how well the right hand side worked First half. The new players looked really exciting especially Hanson . And got to say how well dembele done when he came on he looked a different player KRO 0:30 dembele was when he came on
Thank you for your comments. We have just finished recording a podcast about the Solihull Moors friendly which will go out tomorrow at 12pm and I have to say I agree with all of the points you make. Hansson looks like a proper player and if Dembele can stay on it and show his commitment, even when we are out of possession then I think he can do some damage as well. Also, Tyler Roberts could play a big part if he can stay fit. Its all coming together nicely. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Eddie. Alfie May seems like an excellent signing. He knows where the goal is and being vocal he will help inspire other players as well. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Good content again gents. Excellent listening. One key point the manager made is we getting the right player in but also keeping the wrong players out. So characters seem vital and maybe why some deals go dead if the player thought to be a character not for our club. Kro gents. Enjoy all podcasts
Thank you for your comment Tony. I saw that comment from Chris Davies and must admit I was pleased to hear it. We could have the most skilful players in the world but a few bad characters or the wrong type of characters can ruin everything. We definitely need a few strong characters/leaders in the squad which I am sure the club will address before the transfer window closes. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Great video again guys, can feel the excitement building. Would love to see a player like Martin O'Connor in midfield or a Savage! Shaping up very nicely.
Thank you for your comment and we are pleased you enjoyed the video. Martin O'Connor and Robbie Savage, great memories of this players for sure. If our players only had half of the commitment of those two we would have a great season, that is for sure! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment. All credit to the owners, there are turning the club inside out both on and off the pitch and it is still hard to believe to be honest. The amount of money they have already invested is staggering and this is just the start! It’s certainly a great time to be a bluenose! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
@@BCFCRoyalBlue exactly especially given the stadium and training ground will be non existent in the near future, it's amazing that fans and players have something tangible to see and to believe in again
Hi guys. Another great video and discussion. Just watched the Moors game, and it was like night to day from Saturdays match. Yes, the opposition were weaker, but our passage of play at times was fantastic. If we keep this up we sure will be a force for next season. Really awesome to see us playing on the press and dominating. Again, totally agree with you both we need more bodies especially with physical presence. We had so many corners last night and still we couldn't get our head on one of the crosses. One thing lads is we still don't know who's staying from last years squad i.e. Paik, Myoishi , James and Dembele. Got to say Dembele looked sharp and extremely happy last night. Different player grom last season. Our left side looks strong what with Hannson and Cochrane. These two look two very decent units. If we keep adding to the squad with players of their qualities, then it's going to be one hell of a season. KRO gents
Thank you for your comment and we are pleased you enjoyed the video. The Solihull Moors friendly was a really positive step forward in our pre-season and gave a glimpse of what we can expect this season. We will be putting a new video out at 12pm today with our thought on the friendly so be sure to check that out. Things are definitely looking better that is for sure! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Hi guys. Just listened to your comments for the first time. Very interesting, covering lots of different aspects of bcfc. One point 8 would pick up on if I may. I'm sure in mentioning the Rangers Friendly you said 7-45 ko. Please check out that detail if you are doing another video before that match. Kind regards Sreve Ridsdill.Season ticket holder. Good luck for future videos during the coming season KRO
Thank you for your comment Stephen. Having checked the Blues website the Rangers friendly kicks off is 7.30am so thank you for bringing this to my attention. I thought I’d looked at the website before and saw 7.45pm however, it is 7.30am. We will clarify this in our next podcast which will go out on Monday. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Chris. I think we hopefully see two new centre halves before the window shuts and a left sides one would be excellent. I also think we will see quite a number of other additions as well. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Cody Drameh is not coming back to Blues guys. He signed a new contract at Leeds last week and promptly went out on loan to Luton Town. Like the signings so far and agree with your shopping list. Like the players we are being linked with too! KRO
Thank you for your comment Mark. Thank you also for the clarification on Cody Drameh, I must have missed the fact that he has been loaned to Luton, never mind, I'm sure we will get a good new right back to give Ethan some competition. We have done some good business so far and like you I'm impressed with the quality of the players we have bought in. I'm looking forward to seeing who else joins us. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Chris. Tommy Fogarty is definitely a bright prospect and what I like about him is that he is already physically strong compared to players of his age. He has the possibility of being a really good player for us in the future. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
100% agree with all that you said about what we need. I still think we need to sign a proper leader/captain. I do think that's lacking in the squad. Bielik is the best of the bunch, but he wouldn't be my captain. I don't think he's vocal enough and I think that's a really important quality that the skipper needs. I would love to see a proper centre half that can play and a combative CM and an attacking CM as the 3 main priorities. Another striker would be good. It would be good to see youth get a chance too. A nice mix of old and young. KRO 💙
Thank you for your comment Richard. I’m sure the club are working frantically behind the scenes to identify the right players and I agree with what you say is still needed. I also agree that we still need to bring in a few more experienced players who could be a captain or vice captain as we are clearly short in that department. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
We need jay back but was happy to see the boy playing fast football and the high press well excited good pod again boys keep up the good work blue boys k.r.o.
Thank you for your comment Kevin and we are pleased you enjoyed the podcast. I think all Blues fans would love to see Jay back in a blue and white shirt, but I suspect he will have a lot of interest from the Championship if Fulham decide to loan him out. I do think we will see him back at the Blues again but I'm not sure it will be next season unfortunately. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
I thought about Conor Cody last season. I’d have had him in the championship. He’s a brilliant character and a proper leader. Also suits the style of play. He’s slow but he’s intelligent. His talking would have the defence exactly where they need to be.
I think you have hit the nail on the head and I totally agree :) The big question is wether he would drop down to League 1. I have no doubt we could be competitive with his wages but it would be a decent drop for a player like him. Very best, KRO! (Matt)
Thank you for your comment Tony. Yes, a good workout for the squad and some nice little snippets of the type of football we might see for this season. Also, one or two performances caught the eye, so as you point out things are starting to come together. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Agreed I was more looking at how we played impressed with the new signing and the lads from last season. But also was impressed with Tyler Roberts played a bit deeper and looked very very comfortable
Personally love to get Seamus Coleman from Everton. At the end of his career with Everton maybe persuaded to join the " project". He would be like having an on field coach, especially if he was given a coaching position afterwards. Throw in a couple Spurs loans and we'll do just fine. KRO
Thank you for your comment. Although the club are targeting mainly younger players I do think some experience and leadership will be crucial. At 36 Seamus Coleman will have all the experience we need but I wonder if the club would want to go down that road, as they seem to be taking us in a completely different direction. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
I get that, but to rent him basically for a year or two. I believe that experience we do need here and there would be invaluable. Especially wje we go through a patch an inevitably we will at some point. KRO
Good vlog as useual Gents . In my opinion, Conor Coady and Joe Worrall would be ideal additions for the next two seasons. I’m concerned that our team lacks physicality and size, which could be problematic during corners and set pieces unless we sign players who are over 6 feet tall. Overall, I’m happy with the business done so far .KRO
Thank you for your comment Mark and we are pleased you enjoyed the podcast. We mentioned the lack of physicality in the squad at the moment and that seems to be the most pressing need at the moment along with some height as you also point out. We also need a bit more experience and leadership as well and Conor Coady and Joe Worrall would both provide that if we could get either of them. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
I agree we need at least one centre back assuming Kristen Bileck is playing That role, I was not Kristen`s greatest fan because for all his good work when he was playing in a holding midfield role he would make a sloppy pass and not chase back and would lead to us conceeding a goal, I don`t remember him creating a goal through a good through ball. But when he started in the centre back role I could not knock him and he was better playing the ball out. You are right we need cover at right back aswell. I would like to see JJ given an attacking centre midfield role.
Thank you for your comment Derek. I think Krystian Beilek is a solid centre half and I also think that is where will see him playing this season. I also agree with you about JJ. If he stays I would like to see him in that central midfield role as well. He was wasted when he was played wide last season. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment. I think he would be a good addition and let’s face it we definitely need more options up front. The Villa connection doesn’t bother me, especially if he score lots of goals, that will soon be forgotten! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Did you guys go to the Solihull Moors game? there is a striker named Al Hamadi at Ipswich that will probably go out on loan or maybe be sold for the right price since Ipswich have heavily stocked up this season up front. He was one of the leading scorers with Wimbledon last year in league 2 until Ipswich bought him in the jan transfer window. Would be a great loan or purchase if other things dont pan out and possibly a under the radar steal.
Thank you for the comment. We didn’t attend the Solihull friendly but watched it on Blues TV. It was a great workout for us and showed us some really positive signs. We still need reinforcements up front and I think we need so height. For corners and crosses we are a little on the small side so I hope that is addressed in this transfer window. The guy from Ipswich you mention sounds interesting. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
How many loan players do you think we will target? I don't see too many with the calibre of permanents coming in, given that loaning clubs generally want their loan players to get minutes.
Thank you for your comment. I think we will be much less reliant on the loan market this season, compared to previous seasons as for the first time in many years we are able to pay transfer fees. We may however still add a couple of loan players to bolster the squad toward the end of the transfer window. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Luke. Agreed, there are still a number of gaps to fill in the squad. As we mentioned in the podcast we hope the club bring in some height as they fill those gaps. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Whats yr opinion about tyler roberts. Where do you think he will fit in? When hes fit he does look a quality player. Can he be that extra striker like demeble could be. If they sign lets say 2 def 2 mid and 2 strikers who will make way for these or to put it another way. Are the players we have now the starting 11 in your opinion. I think midfield is lightweight. Not in skill but agression.
Thank you for your comment Graham. I will stick my neck out and say that I think Tyler Roberts will improve significantly for us this season and I think he will become a really important player for us. I think he has reached that stage of his career where he has to crack on and he does seem to be more determined and hungry from what I've seen so far. I think we already have a decent starting 11 however we need strength in depth which is what I'm sure the club are working on in terms of bringing in new players. Crucially we need more height and physical presence in the squad. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Mark. A fee other fans have made that comment as well. I'm sure we will see further additions in key positions over the next weeks and month before the transfer window closes and that may will include a left footed centre back. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment. Things are starting to build nicely and we should be ready to go for that first game of the season at home to Reading. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for comment Simon. I’m not sure what Blues TV broadcast outside of the UK but if you contact the club I’m sure they will clarify that for you. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
I saw an online news report a day or two ago saying that Blues are in talks with Fulham to sign Jay Stansfield on a permanent deal for £6m. I just wondered if this was true or just speculation. Imagine a Stansfield and Alfie May attacking partnership in league 1. Hope its true, have you heard anything?
Thank you for your comment Alan. I’ve seen the speculation but as you I’m not certain how true this all is. Having said that I would love to see Jay Stansfield back at Blues and if anyone can make this happen it will be these Blues owners! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thank you for your comment Kevin. Yes, we have a good crop of young players coming through which only bodes well for the future. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Do you think we’ll have a trolley dash on the last day? We are desperate for a CB x2 minimum. Another striker and a CDM. Conor Cody would want a big wage IMO but he would captain this side and marshal that defence well. Money well spent id say. KRO
Thank you for your comment. The end of the transfer window is frantic for many teams and I can see us having another flurry on deadline day. As Matt mentioned in the podcast, it is important we bring in some taller and more physical players into the squad as we fill all of the positions where we are currently short. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Thanks mate :) Yeah, I have no doubt there will still be a decent amount of turnover and we know Bacuna and Longelo are as good as gone. I personally think the most vulnerable is JJ. The buzz has died down slightly but in January there was a lot of noise around him, especially from Atalanta. Let's see what happens 🙂👍 Very best, KRO! (Matt)
Thank you for your comment. I thought he did ok against Solihull Moors, in fact his tackle set up the opener for Alfie May. With a full season under his belt I think Ethan Laird can be a big player for us next season.

1 or 2 centre backs, centre mid, right back and another striker I think we need
Left footed Big Centre back
Thank you for your comment Mark. A fee other fans have made that comment as well. I'm sure we will see further additions in key positions over the next weeks and month before the transfer window closes and that may will include a left footed centre back. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
all round looking good
Thank you for your comment. Things are starting to build nicely and we should be ready to go for that first game of the season at home to Reading. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
When the season starts will blues TV still show the game to internationals and audio in uk
But even the under21’s faired very well when they came on
Thank you for your comment Kevin.
Still expecting a few more to go, even boys who started at the moors .... hope not but there will be takers ....
Thanks mate :)
Yeah, I have no doubt there will still be a decent amount of turnover and we know Bacuna and Longelo are as good as gone. I personally think the most vulnerable is JJ. The buzz has died down slightly but in January there was a lot of noise around him, especially from Atalanta.
Let's see what happens 🙂👍
Very best, KRO!
(Matt)
laird not good
Thank you for your comment. I thought he did ok against Solihull Moors, in fact his tackle set up the opener for Alfie May. With a full season under his belt I think Ethan Laird can be a big player for us next season. KRO and kind regards (Gary)
I think laird will be a good player for us this season
look at his last 6 games for blues
@onelcrapo5360 true, but I think the next 6 will tell us for sure
