I keep a journal with no rules. I keep notes, survival tool lists, edc ideas, sketches, keep phone numbers, i even took it to a armed guard license course and took notes with it. It's called Journal Books made in Korea.

Could you add extra staples when/before the original ones fail. And a nice binder of gaffer tape to strengthen the spine? Worked for me. I stiched this year's fieldnotes notebook after ten months use so it would last the year out.

I do a week to a page, notes diary style. The header is week dates, month, year, and the word of the year and month. Three lines per day, •am •pm •evening. Two columns, one for appointments and events, and the other for notes and birthday reminders. The four line spaces across the bottom of the pages for T3T: top 3 tasks and a minimal future log. I may give an eight by six calendar month grid a try and use the empty squares for T3Ts, notes, and future log. May be a bit squishy at busy times but that is not too often. FYI: I use sticky notes too. I add inserts that fold out for lists on rubber bands TN style. I also glue on a pocket inside the back cover to slip in a printed calendar with school and public holidays highlighted. I have used fieldnotes for about four years and have them in an Altguild River Song passport size travelers notebook that has a very lived-in look. I experiment with different but keep returning to the familiar and live vicariously through videos like yours, and if I pick up an idea or two along the way, all the better.

After retirement I found A5 planner/bullet journal pretty empty so switched to passport size. I wind up packing so many things in it it’s too much to carry everywhere. Lately trying different notebooks and came across your channel. Venturing into using field notes and I must say it’s a game changer. Thanks for your ideas and tips! Do you have any videos on using cover for it?😊

I have about every Carhartt clothing you can buy. However I wanted to try the Eisenhower jacket. I absolutely love it. Like you said it’s a very durable jacket. It looks great on me too. I’m really impressed with the quality. Especially for the price. It’s hard to find a jacket that looks good but is well built. Oh speaking of well built, even the zipper on the jacket is a stout brass zipper. You can’t beat the quality for the price.

Do you also use a regular size one ? I been keeping same Midori travellers since prior to 2015 cna0t really recall still has the first midori Logo. been great. Going for my first passport size and second travellers. Figuring a healthy way to keep using both. Also thought on third to keep all my papers organised. You think to many can be more confusing ?

Love it! EDC, fountain pens, a cool sling bag I hadn't seen before. It's like it was made for me. I also carry the Traveler's Notebook Passport, but I've stopped carrying fountain pens because I still haven't found one that doesn't leak if jostled around all day, and that doesn't dry out if you fail to use it for a few days. Most of my fountain pens are from Parker (Sonnet, Frontier, a bunch of Vectors), but my Lamy Al-Star has the same issues. I used to be able to use the Vectors every day in school without leakage, and I still use the same cartridges, so I don't know what changed.

I have a twisbi vac & I much prefer the Eco & then the Diamond 580 al is a great writer as well. Here a few years ago I splurged big time & invested in a Pilot Custom 380 which is a vac filler & use that pen almost daily! It’s as close to a perfect pen as I’ve ever used. It’s so great the only pens I find myself using other that it has been several of my Eco Pens (which I used different colors in). Another great on the go fountain pen you need to try especially since you like the travelers notebooks so much it The Travelers Company Fountain Pen, it’s one of the best fine nib pens I’ve ever used, plus in carry form it’s so small you’ll forget you have it. The only issue I have with it is I prefer a wider pen but overall it’s so good.

Great video! Swiss Army Knife, Flashlight, Pen & Paper. What a trilogy! I like the brightness of that MT1A Pro. I wish it had a different UI. The MT1A requires you to come in on the last memorized brightness level. With my Wurkkos FC12 in tactical mode, I can choose to come in on moonlight, turbo or strobe, with medium as an option after coming in on moonlight or turbo. The FC12 is bigger at 24mm diameter but still pocketable. I shortened mine with an 18350 tube and battery.

I like your pen choice, I carry a Lamy safari with me 24/7 but the treads that allow you to remove the body from the head (I don't know the proper terms) mysteriously unscrew in my pocket over the course of the day. I think I might pick up a Kaweco sport like you have.

Nice video!! Although i love fountain pens i have yet to carry one, usually carry a ball point Zebra F-701 and keep my fountain pen for my home desk. I really should try carrying a fountain pen. I usually carry a fixed blade knife, but occasions like today im going to a kids bday party so i will have to switch it out. Have a great weekend!!! Cheers beers and whiskey 🤠🥃

I never thought I'd want a 4-layer SAK until I stumbled into this. It has a great tool set and isn't near as bulky as I expected. I'm drawing th line at 4 layers tgough.

Congratulations on the new pen. The Prera is a great pocket pen in my book. I have one in ivory with a fine nib that stays in my motorcycle jacket. My other pocket pen is an Elite 95s also in fine. I have Lamys, TWSBIs, Jinhaos and other Pilots. My favorite are my TWSBI Vac 700R. I prefer the fine/extra fine over the medium/broad nibs. Find what works for you and keep collecting/using your pens.
