I'm kind of fond of the old VWs so I would tell you to fix it up and keep it on the shelf as a collector! Is it worth it? I don't know. That's an individual choice but it looks pretty good to me, so yeah, it's an HPI so maybe it is! I just took advantage of the big sales and picked up the Maxx Slash that all the "influencers" hate so bad! :) I'm going to LOVE mine! :) Let the haters hate and the rest of us have all the fun says I! Your better off keeping it. You actually hit on another subject without realizing it something I've been thinking about. What I'm talking about is the RC's I have everyone is upgraded but alot of them sit. So I'm thinking about selling some of them I will miss them but sliming down my collection & using the money to buy new RC's I've been wanting & know I'll use on a regular basis. I am attached to them & they are my babies but I think someone else can enjoy them & I can purchase some new projects. I'm going round & round with these thoughts & leaning towards doing it but it's hard because you upgrade them but you will never get your money out of it so then it makes me think I'm better off keeping them. I'm just not sure what I'll do.

I say get it running and leave it a ripper, I had a Redcat Rs10 moa crawler with vertical plate chassis and ridiculous flex wanted to put a scale body on it but would've had to re-engeneer everything sometimes it is what it is and it can't be something else. Thanks for sharing.

I would leave it just the way it is maybe try to bring it back to full stock it's just a part of early RC history very cool piece.i would tear it down and restore to factory spec ..?got my 19 year old grandson in to scaling will show him this video

Happy Friday everyone. Wow I'm not sure where to start but first off I do have a channel but I only post videos & pictures I never speak or show myself. I just do it for the heck of it I could care less about views. The give away of my choice would be the SCX 2 Blazer which is no surprise. I think a inside course would be awesome. As far as The Canyon everyone has there own opinions & you have to respect that,but when someone has a ignorant bias & has admitted it that is something I can't stand. I myself do not care for Traxxas but I'm not ignorant & I know they have some very good RC's & there is no way I'd pass up on them. I have several Traxxas RC'. So I'm not blinded by ignorance or bias which are two ugly things. The guy needs to check himself & get over his bias. And he continues to buy the brand he hates on so it just makes it worse. He does have alot of good topics but I cannot subscribe or watch anyone with such bad views. I used to watch but stopped months ago because not only did I not agree with his opinions but his bias he admitted to having just blew me away how could anyone with a Crawler related channel be so wrong? The last straw for me was his review of the Fusion & I had stated how could almost everyone have such good things to say & he had nothing good to say & not only that had negative comments about a brand that has great customer service,listens to its customers & improves their RC's accordingly. There is no way his review holds up & it's one thing to give your opinion but it should be unbiased or don't bother because we see right through this ignorance. But hay that's my opinion & rant. I will never watch that channel & I don't care what he's giving away.

For snow they are fun, I could'nt keep the traxx on my sons to save my life lol! Snow would pack up and pop traxx, I went through two sets same thing kept popping them off. Great video always nice listening while working to let it fly Friday's 👌. I watch Canyon he just oozes the I'm better and smarter attitude than anyone else sometimes that puts me off his videos. He definitely has some of the best info you'll find though. Sometimes his testing certain things I wish he'd go more into depth with instead of just a 10 minute run with. I still watch his tire testing and electronics testing videos though. Congrats BTW

As far as the Canyon goes, I totally agree. I’ve gotten into it with him in the past over a certain ESC that he constantly sh!ts on, however, he does some awesome fabrication and course building. I don’t let the few disagreements come between me and quality content. The dude does great work and is one of the few who religiously put out content daily. I’ll give props where props are due. Congrats on the truck, that one should do pretty well up there in the great white north!

I have the full length (front to mid skid) aluminum Artful Dodgers skids in my Knightrunner to help with that IFS hangup. Plus they are beautiful! Good video. I had a 91 YJ and loved the heck out of it -no mods did 52 miles of the BDR trail east of canyonlands, intense overnight deal. If we had a lift we wouldnt have fit under some overhangs. I may have sipped on a bottle of J. Beam to ease the adventure. Now I picked up RC due to guys like you and I just love to picture that real adventure in the miniature-scale option. Thanks

I have a TRX-6 and 5 TRX-4s among other manufactures crawlers. My Traxxas RCs have never given one second of trouble over three years of use. In fairness to Vanquish and Redcat crawlers that I also have, they haven't either! Crybabies gotta cry Gerry! :) I agree that we should have more 6x6 options...
