Solo Hike - Castle Ravine - Mt. Jefferson - Castle Trail - Terrifying 25’s
These two T25’s were awesome! Castle Ravine, an elective trail and Castle Trail, an official T25.
These trails were similar in difficulty to the Kings Ravine + Subway hike I did a week ago.. With more water crossings and wet mossy trail below tree line.
I didn’t get to film very much of the Castle trail on the descent because I was so focused on getting down.. Hoping to get back up there and film it as an ascent soon because it’s spectacularly beautiful! Probably the most picturesque ridge line I’ve seen in a long time.
I’ll post the link here if you’re interested in checking it out the route I took -

Most Difficult Hike Of My Life - King Ravine & The Subway To Mt Adams - Terrifying 25 Trails - NH
Переглядів 3,1 тис.День тому
In this video I hike to the summit of Mt Adams, but I don't take the easy route. My route is through 2 of the Terrifying 25 trails of New Hampshire called King Ravine and the 'Subway'. It requires you to climb through extreme boulder fields, caves, talus rock and scree until you reach the top of the Headwall of King Ravine. To top that off, I decided that it wouldn't be right unless i summited ...
Huntington Ravine Trail - The Most Dangerous Hiking Trail In The Whites

In this video, I hike a lollipop loop hike up the Huntington Ravine Trail to Mt Washington and down Tuckerman Ravine. The Huntington Ravine Trail is at the Pinnacle of the Terrifying 25 in New Hampshire and lived up to its name. This was for sure the most challenging regular hike I've ever ascended in my life but it quickly became my all time favorite so far! A level 2-3 scramble for over half ...

Here is the full video of my recent Mt Garfield ascent. I added in some of my experience with heat illness and some safety tips around it. Mt Garfield was a long and gradual 4,000 footer in New Hampshire with great views at the summit! Scrambling required at the last .2 miles until you reach the summit, which has foundation remnants of an old fire tower and 360 degree views. Thank you so much f...

I decided to give all the details here for this one. This was such an awesome hiking day to Mt Garfield! A NH 4,000 footer with 3,000 ft of elevation gain in a 5 mile ascent. 4,500 feet at the summit making this the 17th tallest of the 48 in New Hampshire. The first few miles are mild terrain with the rockier sections starting about 1/2 a mile to the top. This section has you scrambling large b...

Just watched the prior video where you mentioned a partially torn ACL. Assume your knee surgery was to fully repair the ACL. A good choice, I suspect, as it is a long(er)-term fix and not something that could nag you and let loose at an inopportune time. Bring it back in steps - slowly, one little jaunt at a time. Be well stay safe. 🥾

Thank you ☺️.. So I never made an update video but the sports surgeon said that if I was able to rehab it and it felt good that surgery wasn’t necessary. So I went that route and it’s doing great! Still recovering the muscles around both knees from the break and sprain but doing pretty darn good most days thankfully. 💗

"This is the forest primeval. The murmuring pines and the hemlocks, Bearded with moss, and in garments green, indistinct in the twilight, Stand like Druids of eld, with voices sad and prophetic..."(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, from 'Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie'). Be well, stay safe. 🥾

Aw, thanks for the shoutout! The Castle Trail is a fun route for Jefferson - I've gone up it but not down, I can see how that'd be tricky. That ravine looks like another fun one! So many routes to get up to those Northern Presis...

Chill looking scramble, well done video and good watch! Dont listen tk thw naysayers, there's absolutely nothing wrong with solo hiking. A lot of ny friends are really amazing women and men who do tons of solo hiking and climbing. There is an inherent increase in risk by solo hiking but be responsible for yourself and use sound judgment to the best of your ability out there and you'll be just fine. Theres risk in everything and as you progress more and more into the mountains there will be risks and dangers, thats this life, thats adventure. But YOU are an adventurer! Honestly some of my very best trips have been solo. Im talking setting camp at 3am, in the wind, on a tiny outcropping around 10,000' on my hood with a death fall below me in the vast empty, howling wind darkness. And then solo summiting the next morning, ice and snow climbing through the Pearly Gates, ive done this like 5 times and every time i think about it my heart soars. You Are Doing Great. Be Safe and get out there as much as you can! Also, join a climbing gym. So many skills translate and it will put you on thw correct path 🙏
