Nice information, first time watching your channel I will subscribe now!!!! More updates please from quails
My renolgy inverter-charger is the same way, it won't charge if the batteries get too low. Its SUPER annoying at times, becuase it also won't pass 110v from the generator through anymore
I thought "oh, this will be perfect, if the batteries ever die, I can just run the generator" but nope 😅 can't charge OR run the 110v stuff (racecar trailer)
Interesting! I think what happened is my inverter has a lower voltage threshold then the charge controller, so the batteries will get pulled lower then the charge controller wants to see and gets all upset about it. Never had that happen in the last year of running the system but also didn’t forget the lights on before 🤣
Battery chargers will do that as a protection both against a battery and the charger itself it interprets the low voltage as either a bad battery which if charged could catch fire or explode and or damage the charger with a bad battery it's a safeguard
@ safety is…. Done best by me. Not a fan of computers trying to be smarter then me. 11.5 volts is perfectly safe to be charged (I’m aware that classifies as a dead battery but that voltage is fine to accept a trickle charge) I would rather the charge controller go into a trickle charge mode and tickle the batteries back up but I don’t write code unfortunately
I’m at day 31 hopefully mines start laying at that age
@@MyRcGoSlow most mine were laying by five weeks, all of them by six weeks, already ol have my second batch of 90 eggs in the incubator since this video was taken

Hey, just getting into learning the basics and trying to make sure I prioritize my building of all the gasifier mini projects. Since you have a lot of gasifier related videos, please direct me to where I need to start. My truck is a 1998 WT1500, 4.3 V6, 200k mi, the original V6 locked up, so I just bought another V6 to go back in, I also have a 1991 1500 with the 305. Both are 2WD's. Thanks for Sharing G_Dub
@@GDub1958 we need to get you on the driveonwood forum, there are much more skilled builders there and it’s a lot easier to interact there then UA-cam comments
I just seen that video lol thank you so much
@@Dizney710 no problem haha
Thanks! I just became aware of this, so more to come once I see how this works out, I usually use Zelle thru my bank
You have really come up with using so many things and parts and pieces and do-dads around your shop that makes this satisfy the original intent of the gasifier, you know made from salvaged parts!!! You are an above average mechanic, you are so above average on welding, fabricator, pipe-fitter, inventor that your project is really the cleanest build so far and looks so "Professional"! I would love to take your gasifier and convert it into a 3D plan, to immortalize the significance of your effort, I am so impressed! So this video is 2yrs old how is everything working and wearing? Have you had any scary incidents with the gas getting lit somewhere it shouldn't (flame-out)? The World is so volatile right now, and you have satisfied the answer to how to get gas when the electric grid is out! The original plans offered by F.E.M.A. needs to be updated with items you will actually be able to find in a salvage yard, right today. I am in Indiana and have access to corn cobs more than wood, so what other types of mediums have you tried to burn? Thanks G_Dub

Damn I need to get back into the woods and do some hiking.
@@dannymayes2122 could start doing the challenge coin hikes 😉
@BigBeavrSlayer I watched the video this morning and found the location but I've got kids today. How often do they happen?
I think we have six placed so far?
😂😂😂
Or bad injector?
I've got a really bad skip with an exhaust flutter sound. Came on gradually over time. Sounds like that could be bad or open exhaust valve, or rocker problem. So pull valve cover for look see?
Yes I would pull one plug wire at a time and run the engine to find which is missing and compression test that hole if it has no compression odds are it broke a rocker pedestal bolt
If i do get confident enough to build one of these trucks I would never buy wood and neither should you. Look into something called Chip drop. They drop free wood chips at your house by the truck load.
Yes BUT, chips are a lot more difficult to get to flow through the gassifier, they are to small as is and need to be sorted and sifted to appropriate size which adds considerable time to fuel processing There are a few guys who have specially designed gassifiers to run in chips but they are not as well known or well tested as the Wayne Keith design which in my opinion is by far the most universal of eat whatever you put in the hopper
That comment at 12:00 where you talk about parking the truck on a boat and hooking it up to power the boat… genius.
It’s very handy to have a mobile fuel depot haha
