    i think this is what helps you the most. You ask one of the arrowhead hunting channels with over 50,000 subscribers for some help. Anyone trying to represent their channel is REAL with that many should be able to have you JUMP in subscribers and views to AN INSANE LEVEL.....That are ENAGAGED and MONEY MAKING....within 48 hours of a video on their channel talking about YOUR CHANNEL. I doubt I have 10,000 subscribers arrowhead hunting here. And could never earn a living doing so. I think you understand what is happening.....totally. YOU DO NOT have to act like a 12 year old like me. I do that ...... it is a ROLE I PLAY.....for money. You can do that. or be nice. But that is CONTROVERSY. And that equals something good down the LINE for you and your channel.....if YOU are on the right side of the controversy....and you 2 ARE. You have on a series of GOOD UPLOADS.....You should be PROUD of. You can talk about those uploads you have on.....in some off the cuff....videos. Go to a Flea market. Look for arrowheads there. Film some dealers if they let you. Show their business cards. All of this stuff you can do. and it will help your arrowhead hunting uploads. The Thrift stores. if you can find some close to you with cheap prices. Anything ODD and OLD.....is a video.

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau 2 дні тому

      Don't get upset or worry yourself over arrowheads. You can get this going. 100%. But it will take more of a variety of uploads. You can film PLENTY of items Arrowhead Viewers will WATCH to at flea markets. "Old Bottles" "Pocket Knives" "Marbles" And with the Flea markets. You both should film. Get one perspective for MAN Stuff & One Perspective from Her View (Girl items). 2 videos per trip . That would work out.

    The slate piece at 8:03 is a celt preform. Found many of thoes, the piece at 10:30 is a slate celt. Rough but it's one. The one end is polished to a bit. The mark on it is a plow mark from being hit by the plow. Nice active spot you have there. Longevity of occupation there. Best of luck on your future hunts!

    So it’s my opinion that the large white wonky blade, the big brown chert blade, the slate pieces, and the last white “scraper” you found at the end are all “historic” aged artifacts. I live in North Central Illinois near several historic Potawatomi sites where I find those same things. Depending where you are in Indiana; if you’re in the northern part, you may be hunting on old Potawatomi ground yourself. Great finds.

      @artifactaddiction Місяць тому

      Being in Chesaning, you have both the Shiawasee and Flint rivers near by. As well as small tributaries that feed into those rivers. Both of those rivers are littered with farm fields up and down their banks. I would be knocking on every farmers door that has a plowed field that butts up to the river and simply asking permission to walk their fields after being plowed and rained on in search for arrowheads. Some talking and kindness goes along way. Search the highest spots closet to the water looking for flint flakes. Start finding flint flakes and you’ll find points. A lot of times the farmers will have a collection of points and can show you the best areas. Just gotta put in the work and respect their property.

    I am trying to learn more about Michigan specific points and spear heads now. Educate myself more (I am a teacher). Over the last 3 yrs I have found 6 in total, all in a about a 50 foot sections by my dock in houghton lake. In the sand in the water, maybe 6 to 10 inches deep at most. I have a small cabin there and I often sift the stone off our seawall. I decided to sift the stone to make a two car parking space behind our cabin rather than buying the stone. During this I espected to find cool rocks and maybe a petoskey stone here and there. I have found many cool things but the 6 points are at the top of the list. Smallest an inch and half to a couple that are 4 and half inches. My family and friends just say that is what happens to me because what I think often happens for me. I did hope to find a point or two but never expected to find what I found. I took the 1st white 4 inch point and put it on a spiral spear I made. It is a conversation piece for sure when people come up to our little cabin on houghton lake. The others are in a display case that I never thought I would need to purchase, but I am happy I have had to do so!!!

      That’s really awesome to find any Michigan points! Let alone by sifting along an inland lake shore. I see people sift along the Ohio River and do well, but those shorelines are covered in native sites that are constantly eroding. It’s very interesting along Houghton Lake. Being a drainage of the Muskegon River there’s probably a lot of history there. I’m curious where the points you found might have originated from. Where is the original site. If you’d like to email some pictures of the points, I can try and type them for you. If not, no worries. Congratulations either way! They are finds of a lifetime and pieces to cherish.

    I am glad that you're still in the fields! Could the round, broken rock be a concretion? It looks like one to me! You found 2 nice, small points! I do not believe that the grooved rock is natural, but I don't know what it could be.

      Thank you Howard! The local points definitely don’t come easy. Takes a handful of outings to put together some local content. I’m thankful for each and every one though. Appreciate the comment.

      Thank you! We’ve been fortunate to have found a couple celts now and a full grooved axe. All from the same site too. A handful of broken ones as well. Appreciate your comment!
