This video covers the repair of a broken wire in the wiring harness for the power sliding side door of 2003-2007 Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan vehicles. Addresses one possible cause of the reason why the door will unlock and partially open when using the key fob or inside door release button. Shows how to gain access to the wiring harness and then reveal damage to the wires for future repair.

    Since a torque wrench won’t fit in the right space along with the oil sensor and socket, how tight did you screw in the new sensor?

      I'm just a DIY guy. I just made sure it was screwed in far enough to cover half the threads that had the locktite coating. I honestly don't think the torque values are that important. How does your dryer perform the past 6 months to a year? I have a roof vent in my current house and it seems after about a few weeks of cleaning the vent. It starts to take 2 or 3 cycles for clothes to be dry.

    • @gizmoflyslow9854
      @gizmoflyslow9854 3 місяці тому

      I haven't been up on the roof to check on my Dryer Jack vent for a year, so I can't tell you how it looks at this point. However, our clothes are drying normally after one full cycle and maybe a short cycle after cleaning the lint filter in the dryer. Bottom line is every dryer vent is eventually going to get clogged up to a certain extent. Even a dryer vent tube with no vent cover at all is going to have lint accumulation between the dryer itself and the outside world. If you're in a high-humidity area, it's going to be even worse.

    It's actually easier to take apart than what is shown. You don't need to unplug any of the cables. Also, the black plastic clips are pretty easy to remove by hand. If they're tight it means the input/output connections are "pulled" apart too much. Push the pipes in towards the softener and they'll become easy to remove by hand. The only other things you need to remove are the tube to the brine and the drain tube. Maybe not even the drain tube if you have the slack. I'm able to take it apart without any tools at all.

    I just did mine and your vid was fantastic because I have the same model and element. The little pain in the ass screw is so much easier with the dryer tilted way back. I had my kid hold it. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet with a Phillips bit. Couldn't get it with the little screwdriver. Was too tight. Definitely mark those gray wires. The re-installation of that screw goes very easy with the dryer tilted and a horizontal line through the center of the tiny hole on the new element to have a visual landmark for alignment. Got some air pockets when I first showered so I advise you wait longer and completely fill the tank. 1 cu.ft. of resin acquired from a local vendor was added back in and I’m waiting to see if the water starts to feel soft again. Good video. So many of these types of videos skip over one or more important steps, such is how the connector comes undone. Many times connectors are difficult or next to impossible to see, and unless you know exactly what you're feeling for, you can't tell by touch alone what needs to go where in order to disconnect it. Instruction videos sometimes skip over things like that and just say "Next, disconnect the plug" without showing it. Your video was very thorough. I've had a very slow, intermittent oil drip for a while from what I now suspect is my (2001 OEM) sending unit, so I'm going to put in a new one in conjunction with an oil change.
