does the bulb itself come apart cause i dont see any replacements with the base

I can't get the bulb out. Seems like the whole piece needs to be removed

Not sure I understand your situation. The bulb is attached to a plastic base that will come out when you turn it 1/4 turn counterclockwise and then pull it straight out.
