Congratulation! She's such a gorgeous doll. I know she's representing Juliet, but she reminds me so much of Drew Barrymore in the movie Ever After. She wears a blue dress very similar to the one Juliet is wearing. It's probably from a similar time period. ❤

all I want to know is where the fakes wig comes from and why is it 1000 x better than the real Blythe doll hair?

The photograph aspect of collecting has always been my favorite. People's eye for photographing our favorite girl blows my mind with every amazing pic!

One day I want to do this! I'm so self conscious out in public but hopefully I can work on that!

What a lovely video, I honestly had no idea there was such a community around blythe dolls, I used to see them occasionally as a kid and just thought of them as more expensive and fancier versions of barbie. When you put the chop stick in the doll ag I just presumed it was to help dress the doll, I had no idea it could be used to make the doll stand up. Whenever I look at pictures of any doll I always wonder how the photographer got them to stand and also how they managed to NOT get the doll stand in the picture. The chopstick and the fork are great tips - many thanks. Now I just have to try and shake off my shame!

Not everyone is looking for an original , custom Blythe. Many just want a beautiful custom doll and don’t care if it’s a Blythe original. They are paying for the custom work, not a vintage doll.

3 months late but for the record, Edelweiss Day doesn't have a consistent style because they are reselling dolls (or at least stealing their listing photos) from Xianyu and Taobao for 2x the cost without credit.

The hype about the so-called “fakes” boiled up that much because people realised the fakes nowadays look cuter than the Blythes. The hair is always better. All the wonderful talented artists who are able to customise the dolls to a standard better than the Blythes. I buy the artwork. 😊

Because this fake is associated with a brand and sold out quickly, I wonder how many people bought it to scalp/resell at a later date for a big profit. Also many customizers buy fakes so not to destroy a legit doll which makes sense to me, but upon selling, it should be disclosed as a fake.

I wish I could deal with big cities because this looks amazing! I also looked up Blythecon and that seems awesome, but too far for me to travel...though I can put the money I would have spent going there towards a legit Blythe doll...I have my eyes on a couple. The Faery looks amazing!

It's nice to see someone who collects stock Blythe who doesn't criticise people who do buy the fakes. Some who collect stock/legit dolls are very judgemental of anyone who has a fake. I'm not sure how the name blythe can come away from the fakes because they're a specific style of doll. But it should always be stated that it's a fake/factory doll when being sold. Sadly some people get bullied out of even collecting because of the more opinionated legit Blythe collectors.

im new to the blythe world, but from what i''ve been reading, there's a lot of collectors who get upset when legit dolls are customized. UO was def wrong for this, an sounds like the artist had an in and no questions were asked.

Hello - just wanted to thank you for your hair washing video. It saved two of my girls from being greasy knotted messes.

Congratulations she's so cute. The theming looks like it was done perfectly. I also have a pair of those shoes which I got on my Rouge Noir from 2002 though mine are clear with silver glitter within. She's going to look fab in whatever you dress her, I just love the hair colour.

I like the fact that you matched your own hair to go with the doll - that's real dedication. I find the idea of a Blythe doll based on Juliet Capulet a little bit odd, and calling her Juliet's Choice feels even more grim (although it could have been worse - it could have been Sophie's Choice). That aside, I do like the look of the doll and the quality of the two outfits looks amazing. She is also giving me Lady Panacea vibes - I think it's the pale complexion and the middle parting. They definitely make a real effort with these anniversary releases which is great to see.

Congratulations hunny, she is gorgeous. Rosary beads can be worn around the neck, but it’s not something I’ve seen often in church. Regarding her shoes, I have a pair of them, and they came on Urban fairy Ellie. I use them on a doll all the time, I find them valuable to have. I sometimes brush doll hair out of the box I use doll brushes (less teeth than wig brush). I love her hair colour, in fact your hair colour looks similar at the moment. I didn’t buy Juliette, so I enjoyed watching your unboxing.

I've just got back into collecting after being very into the hobby back in the early 2000's-2012 - I have to say I'm super shocked by the acceptance and the amount of fake dolls in the hobby now. How is this allowed?!
