The photograph aspect of collecting has always been my favorite. People's eye for photographing our favorite girl blows my mind with every amazing pic!
Thank you for your tips and tricks. I am new to the doll collecting/photography community. I still do not have the guts to take a doll out beyond my back yard, but I hope to one day. I appreciate your tips and tricks. Also thank you for sharing your lovely doll and photos. 🥰
I really want to get into Blythe photography so thank you for these tips! I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to do it in public places yet but I’ll get some practice in using the back garden… Also I’m obsessed with the doll you show at 5:20! She looks like Juno Temple in Wild Child! 📸🤍
What a lovely video, I honestly had no idea there was such a community around blythe dolls, I used to see them occasionally as a kid and just thought of them as more expensive and fancier versions of barbie. I love how you describe blythe and the perspective of life she encourages, it seems like a charming and fun hobby !! I hope you'll keep taking pictures for years to come ♥
Such a lovely inspiring video! I need to work on losing my self-consciousness around taking doll photos in public... And I really enjoyed hearing you on La Dolly Dispatch a few weeks ago.
Any time! Don’t worry, it took me a while to feel comfortable too. I even used to hide them away when people came over to my house. Now I have them everywhere! 😅
I promise it gets easier the more you do it! Most people are too focused on their own lives to care too much about what you’re doing, but I do know that feeling!
When you put the chop stick in the doll ag I just presumed it was to help dress the doll, I had no idea it could be used to make the doll stand up. Whenever I look at pictures of any doll I always wonder how the photographer got them to stand and also how they managed to NOT get the doll stand in the picture. The chopstick and the fork are great tips - many thanks. Now I just have to try and shake off my shame!
Any time! The chopstick I used is a shorter one - some people use a longer one and stick it into the little indents in the back of the head. It's easy once you get the knack!

@@headuh.blythe I agree! I still love seeing all the inventive ways people pose and photograph.

Thank you so much! I love La Dolly Dispatch, I was so surprised when they asked me to join them for an episode. They are lovely. 💖
Thanks for sharing these tips! I am still a little bashful about sharing my doll hobby, I admit.

One day I want to do this! I'm so self conscious out in public but hopefully I can work on that!

@@tutesweet3782 I’ll try on some crisp autumn days (the dry ones) to leave my self consciousness behind 🩵
