Getting the darker skin tones can be tricky. I see how in alot of dolls, if you want a tan color doll, they warn you about how there could be two tone patches. I think this happens with barbies too. One of my dolls is the tannest of all of my barbies and one of her legs got some kind of swirling going on where you can see to different tan colors. I think it has to do with how pigmentation works even after mixing well. Like when mixing cake mix and then making it purple, no matter how good you mix it, you would see some kind of marbling going on. Lighter colors is less noticeable. That's just a theory though. Also it could also be what kind of pigment they have. My sister has done oil painting and said that there is some rare oil paint colors so expensive to produce because of they way they try to get that color. I think there is a specific brown color that's made of some mummies and a specific blue color made out of snails. The amount of snails they need to make one tube is excessive. You would think that would make those snails extinct. Maybe it goes the same way with making the color for the dolls skin tone.
Ooo, those are definitely some exciting news :] It feels like this is going to be a fresh new start, makes me wonder if there would be more collabs with the dolls? Sort of what Pullip has been doing
I'm so nervous! But I'm hoping to see more face molds and skintones. I'm a huge FBL fan and the endless RBLs got a little boring for me, too, even though I do still like RBL. It would be wonderful to have more like three or four face molds!! IDK if that's dreaming too big, or what. But it'll be interesting to see how things roll out from now on. Thanks for the video! I am out of the loop with Blythe stuff and it was nice to have all the info laid out in one place!
Multiple face molds being produced at once would be a dream for me, too! I miss the days of it actually being exciting to see which face mold a girl would have. And you're so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful ❤️
Hi! I am a new subscriber, & new to Blythe . I am receiving my first Blythe in a few weeks 🥰I am so excited! Looking forward to learning forward to learning from you. 😊
"Give me choking hazards!" - 🤣🤣🤣 And yes, PLEASE let there be more diversity this time around. 20 years is way too long to wait for a black Blythe, and you're right, this is not okay. I'm excited to see what the new Blythes will look like for sure. I feel that maybe they won't change them so much but I'm definitely interested to see where they take our beloved doll next.
@@tutesweet3782 yes, they might play it safe for the first few releases and then hopefully try a few different things to test the water maybe. I guess we'll see in time. (Happy Christmas btw, hope you have a fab day.)
goodsmile does have two doll lines: nendoroid dolls abd plumeria bloom. nendoroid dolls are just taller jointed nendoroids, the bodies are similar to ob11 or cuposket. plumeria bloom is gsc's answer to the big headed blythe/pullip (but not quite as cute as either imo :/). hopefully as long as CWC has full creative control over blythe then gsc wont try to replace her with plumeria bloom
Honestly I just want Blythe to be more accessible like I want to see them in person :(
Good Smile Company is fantastic and the quality is top tier. Needles to say, it’s an end of an era but a beginning of a new one 💖
I'm excited! Very keen to see the end of wonky eyeholes! 😆

I would love to see this too! Pullip collabs have been so good lately, I'm in love with the Cheer Bear one!
I enjoy your dolly posts. I love Blythes, too. I hope you'd post some more😊

Totally agree! It's an exciting time, I do hope they get more adventurous as time goes on.

When will they come out?
I like custom Blythes and I dislike brillant, glossy faces.
Change is always good ✨
Change is literally almost never good.
I am hoping for more diversity too in skincolours and facemoulds.
I would be so happy to be able to get a black Blythe! It feels like she was much too long coming.
