I’m more interested in her stock than the actual doll itself. I’m tired of blonde/blue eyed Blythe. I’m hoping for much more diversity with upcoming releases. Although this one isn’t bad, she actually looks very pretty! Fingers crossed we will see a difference in quality and how she is packaged in her box! No more wonky eyes or horrible box hair please!
Completely agree - she's a very "safe" base doll, doesn't seem too remarkable to me, but I'm still excited to see what GSC's quality control is like! Hopefully it'll improve on Takara!
I recently got myself my first ever Blythe/pullip doll. It was a custom made one from Etsy and it had the most adorable smile and carvings, and compared to other custom dolls, especially the Blythe ones, it was actually cheaper. $258, I believe, altogether with shipping. I would like to see the actual pictures first, but the drawings are sweet. I honestly would just invest in a custom made doll, just because I think you can get more for your money, and the prices are already pretty similar. I love the dress and the Victorian era, it’s really cute. Thank you for the video, I’m kinda new here and honestly this community seems really sweet. I have yet to receive my doll as I had just ordered it yesterday and it is coming from Russia, so I’ll have a sweet memento from there soon. I hope you and your loved ones and dollies are well and best wishes lovely~ 🍂✨
I am tempted to get her, the only issues I have with Blythe dolls is keeping them standing. As least the two I have always just wants to be down even in their stands.
I want to want to get her lol Although, I’d like to wait until we see her new mold before I make my final decision. Perhaps even until we know what kind of quality she’ll have, when people unbox and review her. I do like her stock, while it may be a bit boring, it’s a pretty standard look for blythe currently.
I know what you mean! I like to see other collector's videos and pictures first to get a feel for what the doll's *really* like, but so often they're pre-order only and sold out before I get the chance! Hopefully this one will be different! :)
I like the coat she's wearing but honestly she doesn't blow me away. I'm not really into blonde dolls that much so would have preferred a different hair colour but guess that's just personal taste. I doubt I will be getting her but look forward to seeing other people getting her and how different she may look to what we've had before. (Also "Song of London Mary" seems particularly random, do they just have a hat that they pick random words from??? Mary seems particularly out of place as I thought they liked alliteration.)
I feel the same way. Like she's cute, but she's not exciting. She's a very "safe" design I feel - all the things that tend to sell well in Japan. Hopefully they're just making sure she sells well for the first doll back after the big break.

I find a similar thing - they're very top-heavy! I call it the Blythe Dive 😅

She’s cute. I’d like to see actual picture though, I wonder if the mold will be very different.
I agree - I won't be preordering until I see pics!
She's just a rehash of clearly Claire
Clearly Claire meets Dauphine Dream!
