How is the neck ? Do you prefer this one or the greeny ? I can’t decide or should I go for the SG63 custom epi ? . I know you don’t have that one yet.

Most of you keyboard warriors who dis Norlin guitars will never own a Gibson Les Paul Custom from the Norlin era. In 2024 , a 1979 custom in good condition is priced at 6k or more. Plus, they just rock. Now go tell yer mommy so she can tell you no, you can not have one.

Its over for Gibson and the fanboys you should have known once JC Curliegh Restored Epiphone back to premium brand in 2019/2020 it was the beginning of the end for Gibson Epiphones are back on top just like they were in the good o'l days.. also no les Paul and Epiphone the Gibson standard Les Paul solid body guitar wouldn't even exist today..FACT

Those guitars are all REPLICAS! The real ones are locked in vaults!

I've got this epi since 2 years and I have to agry with you. It's almost perfect but the electronics. I'm going to put in new pickups. In comparison with gibson epi sounds really crapy. Maybe it'll be set of gibson's or maybe something custom from polish manufacturers. Thanks a lot for your video.

Got mine a few days back incredible guitar pickups and resonance are incredible mainly the pickups themselves going through my 5150 el34s 100 to my fender 57 custom deluxe incredible sounds

I got my blueberry burst in today. It's really pretty but I didn't get the additional truss rod cover, not that I was going to use it, but weird all the same.

I think I would be forever itching to have full body binding if I owned this guitar.. It would drive me insane until the itch was well and truly scratched.. even if it meant buying a IGC epiphone..

Hi Ron I just got a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty Custom with the Three Pickups and the original case. It is in great condition and 100% all original. How much you think it could fetch?

Hi there, does the guitar have that beautiful Gibson smell?

The Gibson Studio was much better in its old format.. The new one just looks like an unfinished guitar.. The neck binding does not look right glued into to an unbound body...It is screaming to have binding on the body.

The finish on that Studio is _gorgeous_ (and I like the absence of a binding on the body - they should have left the neck alone too). But the Epiphone wins.

The finish on that new studio is not pretty to my eyes. I own the Epic IBC Greeny and it's rapidly becoming my most-used HB guitar. You should also demo some cleaner tones, if I may suggest it.

I bought an olive drab import casino last year and now I think if pushed to only have one guitar a casino would be it... So now I am interested in a gloss version and there is a 2k difference between the USA and the China built guitars?! I plan to visit a guitar shop next month that has both types in stock and see and hear for myself if the extra money is "worth" it..

Nice video! Have both guitars had a proper set-up? I assume the Gibson buzzing would be eliminated with so. Same with overall playability etc.

Well i bought 2 Chinese ones. I have upgraded them both. Using some of the same parts the made in USA uses. The Tail Piece is the same as mine, looks like the ABM German made one. The Tuners are Grover Vintage which i also used, Gohto Nashville style Bridge, Lollar Dogears as they are a smaller fitting. To my ears they sound fantastic. I see no reason to drop close to 3k on one guitar when i can get so close on 2 Guitars, plus do it cheaper!

Nice comparison. Thank you. I purchased a 2023 MIC. Love it. Vibes all day. Sounds great through Twin Reverb with bright switch engaged. Inspired to play more. Professional set up is only additional investment so far. Of note, appears newer MIC version is getting even closer to original specs. I can’t look past the incorrect inlay placement on the USA model.

Just a Tele for me. All I need and want.

There's no need to get a Custom Shop Gibson to get a great guitar. I tried three Bonomassa Les Pauls two with his signature on the neck inlays. Sent two back within the return period. Kept the third for about 6-7 months. Ended up selling it - at a loss. I already had my Gibsons, but wanted to fairly judge them (including a '61 SG, 2 Les Paul Customs <white and black> and '58 Korina V too). They all fall very far short of very good - anything. I kept the white Custom and modded it with nut, bridge, and pickups, to make it fine to just grab and not worry about it, but it's not a great Les Paul even with the mods. Totally fine for art to have sitting around or on the wall, light hobbyists, and for beginners, but that's it.
