The finish on that Studio is _gorgeous_ (and I like the absence of a binding on the body - they should have left the neck alone too). But the Epiphone wins.
The finish on that new studio is not pretty to my eyes. I own the Epic IBC Greeny and it's rapidly becoming my most-used HB guitar. You should also demo some cleaner tones, if I may suggest it.
Hi Dave, thank you for your comment. I wanted to keep the video as short as possible. That's why I plugged both guitars into my amp in my standard setting. I was surprised myself that the USA Greenybuckers were so much louder and fuller than the Burstbucker Pro. It seems that the Alnico 2 PAF 50's humbuckers are still the benchmark for all other pickups. Keep on Rocking! Ron
The Gibson Studio was much better in its old format.. The new one just looks like an unfinished guitar.. The neck binding does not look right glued into to an unbound body...It is screaming to have binding on the body.

I’m just here to hear you say “mahogany” again! 😊 Fantastic playing and review! 👍
If those are the same amp settings, The Epiphone is killing the Gibson.
Same amp, same settings, I just swapped the cable from one guitar to the other.

The Ephiphone sounds better!!!
