I would like to see a comparison between the new Epiphone USA and the Chinese version but from your video I could live with the Chinese version because I'm not rich. I also saw a limited edition that was made in Indonesia and they only made120 models just to see how they would fly but I didn't get to hear it played. I perfer Indonesia made guitars even my ES339 was made in Indonesia instead of the Chinese model generation 1 and I exchanged my LP vintage towards the 339 with the case I paid 650 dollars and I've been offered 1000 up to 2500 DOLLARS because I chose it over the Gibson for sound and tone with coil splitting and I still haven't gone through all it's toneal options because I started with the VIP1 modeling amp and it has so many acoustic tones and when I bought the SPARK 40 I haven't put a dent with all the options I have. I also bought the LP Muse and it's fun working my tail off LOL 😆 trying to play all my other 7 guitars equally because I don't have duplicate version guitars. Even when I sleep at night I'll get a new idea to try LOL after I get through with my beautiful lady. Lol she's still FIRST over my guitars.
Guitars sound differently over the years, because their components change their properties and vibrate differently. I think the time factor plays in favor of old guitars. I don't think that what was done before was better: manufacturing technology did not stop evolving and guitar designs remained the same: today a Chinese factory can guarantee a better quality of uniformity than an American factory of 60 years ago.
Very true. What we’ve gained is consistency. Vintage stuff is hit and miss because they are made by hands and you can’t guarantee one guitar will play, sound, and feel like the last. That’s really what modern factories have achieved but it’s very high quality all around.
Big tone difference. Maybe the layers of maple cause this? 3 vs. 5 layers and does Epiphone use maple or okoume on their current guitars? But the Epiphone still sound good.
Thanks pal
Very good comparison I have had both , I can't worry when I play the New Chinese one .Thanks for the video

Hi Phillip, I made the new Epiphone Casino USA comparison vs Epi Casino China you can watch the video on my youtube channel.
Sound is good but the chinese products wear out much sooner. Will the tuner stay in tune with heavy bending or tremolo?
horn shapes are much different. the new one just looks like gibson horns.

Hi Ron, great video. You sound a bit Swiss. Do you live in Switzerland by any chance?
