Thank you for showing these cool games out! I'm not familiar at all with the homebrew scene, so this has been really cool for seeing what people are working on!

IMO every one of these people absolutely deserve to make money from their work and should be supported.

What I like about homebrew games is that the game designers actually took the time and actually make art then games with a time zone. Pretty soon we will have home brew for ps5 in the distant future. homebrew DLCs will be a thing.

Piracy still lives. People dumped the roms and you can download them

Pokemon seriously has. The biggest cash gran ever available in modern gaming. And wont pull the trigger. Remake a 2d game on the switch. Make all pokemon Gameboy games available on the switch. And able to trade. I will drop 500$ right now if it means i get the 11 games from the first 3 generations. Hell add the 4th too. Its still 2d

You should definitely try "Full quiet", made by the same guys behind Halloweem '87, It's the closest thing to a survival horror you'll find on the system

Alfonzo's Arctic Adventure is a sequel to Eskimo Bob: Starring Alfonzo, based on the long running online cartoon series of the same name. Also, Sam's Journey was originally a C64 homebrew, I believe. It's expensive, but it's an incredible game!

While it just got funded, you should check out Former Dawn, which uses a new memory mapper that exceeds the MMC5. It also adds expansion audio and CD-ROM emulation for FMV.

That specific tune from Astro Ninja Man sounds like Recca Summer Carnival because it was composed by Nobuyuki Shioda himself (the same composer). Astro Ninja Man, like all the RIKI games, is a true chiptune album, composed through the collaboration of famous chiptune composers.

There is a great one that I played a while ago. The title is French so I dont remember the spelling too well but something like L'abbey de mortes. But the game can be played without knowing French. This was really awesome and a must play.

Hey captain jack you cna talk about super mario bros mini because that hombrew game its like a port of super mario bros 1 [like the oficial deluxe] but that game adds more content like worlds and bosses so give a try

I know this is a little off-topic but seeing as it IS about homebrew, Have you heard of this new homebrew NES game called Former Dawn? It's a RPG that apparently utilize this cool new mapper for the NES that allows the system to pull off some amazing visuals that I've never really seen the like of on the NES. The game will even have FMVs and mouse support and such. It's pushing the hardware and capabilities far beyond any other game I've seen and I would love to hear your opinion on it if you've have a chance to check it out yet

Man zipline shooter is impressive and id like to see it more fleshed out or the engine worked with more. Sys crusher looks dope too

1:14 I don’t want to sound like a redditor but doom and duke nukem aren’t really raycast they’re portal renderers, all the vertices and positions are in 3D space the rendering of them is the only difference from modern polygonal rendering. Also the zip line game is exactly the same as duke nukem, it’s a portal renderer you can watch the creators videos on how he programmed the engine on his channel 3D Sage
