I remembered/played 3 out of 5 of these. Demons Crest and Ninja Warriors are a couple of my favorite games from this era 😌🙏🏼. Nice to see them mentioned.
Brother, you've got something special. Your personality reminds me of Michael Jones from Achievement Hunter (Rooster Teeth), your timing is excellent, and your videos always surprise me, even if I THINK I know what's coming. Keep up the good work man, you've got a bountiful and badass channel within reach! 🤘🏼
I didn't know we were friends but then I saw you bring up Demon's Crest and Blackthorne. My mom says I can come play at your house if your mom says its okay.
I had or have all of these. Blackthorne is one of the games that assured Shotguns will always be one of my favorite video game gun types. Ninja Warrior was fun but IMO it would have been better with a two player option. What sucks is the ending has a massive sequel hook but no sequel was ever made.
@@roguerifter9724 I'm actually not 100% sure, I know the other games made by Tengo Team (Like Pocky & Rocky Reshrined) start off like the SNES games but get crazier and different the longer they go on. That's why I say director's cut, it's almost like they are making the game they wanted to back then (I believe it's the original developers too) but were limited by cartridge space.
I'm gonna sound like a bit of an ass here but I don't think of these as hidden gems. Not because they're bad. They're great games. I just heard of and have played all these, many of them when they released. Hell, Blackthorne I played like crazy when I was a teenager. Maybe because I was a pretty vapid gamer in the 90's, these didn't slip past me
I don't think that either ninja warrior or demon's crest are hidden gems. The latest was pretty well known back in the day and ninja warriors had a remaster with added characters a few years ago.
Oh yep. I can't give this video a thumbs up and shittube deletes my comments. What a great site. Is this comment staying up ? There's a new Ninja Warriors game (in the same 16bit style) that released a few years ago called The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors. It's a fun time and has a few new characters.
@@CaptainJack1 Ha. What's that phenomena where you mention something and then see it everywhere ? Funny cause SNES Drunk just posted a video on the new one. And I know, it's just a UA-cam thing. It's crazy the amount of comments I write that are instantly deleted and It's always when I'm trying to mention something, help someone or add to a conversation. You act like everyone had a subscription to Nintendo power. Though I would agree it's more recognized than some other games being a Ghouls and Ghosts tie in. I never once saw a cabinet of Ninja Warriors and only learned of the game because of retro gaming UA-camrs.

Hidden gems are not really a thing if you grew up with it, this will mostly be coming from say genesis owners that think its all first party Nintendo games and RPGs😂
Yeah... No. The SNES had tons of games that weren't talked about and are still not talked about unless you watch a channel like SNES Drunk. You might know about them but just because you know about them doesn't mean others do. Also I can see you never moved on from the console wars. Sad.
@@Gatorade69 the console wars have nothing to do with it by just bringing up the Genesis, furthermore renting games was a thing, plus videogame magazines, so yeah think before you speak next time, lol.
this channel is a hidden gem

Holy shit I completely forgot about this channel but I’m so glad you uploaded. I binged all your videos when I first found this channel

The Super Famicom version of The Ninja Warriors has blood and is all in English.
Demon’s Crest is actually a sequel to Gargoyle’s Quest 2. You should check out the earlier two games if you liked Demon’s Crest.

Thank yoj algorithm for bringing me to this hidden gem channel
Great video! Ninja Saviors is one of the best remakes I've ever played and I'm so glad I stumbled upon an absolute gem
Great list. Blackthorne and Demon's Crest are so solid. This has opened me up to the Indy game as well.
Ninja Warrior and Blackthore are highly underrated
Congratulations on completing your third RPG!
I can't stop chortling at your list of completed RPGs.
Ninja Warriors is one of my favorites.
Nice video. Thanks for the recommendations. I might just give that Indiana Jones game another try.
Good vid! Lots I hadn't heard of before!
Awesome list! Thanks a ton
I like the nod to Mystic Quest at the end lol

Most underrated snes game is bebes kids. It’s really an underappreciated gem. Future generations will one day appreciate its genius.
lol, had to look up what that was. Thanks for making me throw up.
Not to shabby indeed👍
Oh Captain! My captain! Thanks Again!
Ninja warrior is bad ass. Hard but fun.
Demon's Crest fulfills the "role playing" aspect of RPG about as much as Mystic Quest satisfies the "game" aspect.
Lol! I haven't even played Mystic Quest but had to include it for the joke.
On ytube something is either a hidden gem or underrated...
I’ve made it out of the opening cave in that Indiana Jones game. It’s bloody difficult!
@roystonlodge I thought the same back in the day, even after getting through the Super Star Wars games.

There's that enhanced version of Ninja warriors. Called ninja saviors. You know anything about it?
@@gjergjaurelius9798 I actually found out about it just after watching the video so not much. I plan to look into getting it soon .
@@roguerifter9724Except a sequel was made, in 2020. More of a remaster or Directors cut.
@@Gatorade69 I found out abut that after commenting. Still does it actually continue the story or just retell the SNES game's?

May I ask which track you used for the outro? (Sounds like Super Chase but I'm not sure which track).
Super Chase H.Q. - Crime City
RPGs I have beaten:
Chrono Trigger
Super Mario RPG
Pokemon Red
I play this game called mewtwo strikes back on the snes. Pokwmon character swap. Is there other rom hacks on snea like that

Seriously, who's hiding all these games?
@TheGunmanChannel It's THEM. And now they know that you know.
Hidden gems? 😂 This s joke, ? Nintendo Power had a special about Demons Crest and The Ninja Warriors was a hit because of the Arcade.
