Koch Chemie FCL is a safe acid to use. Bruce is all about safe. SDS for the win! No bio-flourine in theirs.
Yes! I just don’t keep it on hand as I rarely need it and it’s only sold in 5L. So 2x in past year I struggled without it. 😔
@@Bruces-Garage Elbow grease. Right Bruce!
Very nice. Will this product help hide small swirl previously washing marks or do you have to buff/polish the car b4 applying. And, can this product be applied to the windows too? Thanks
Great question! The Ethos EZPZ Ceramic Coating does a fantastic job at enhancing your car's appearance, but for the best results, it's recommended to polish out any swirl marks before application. And yes, you can definitely apply it to the windows for added protection. I typically prefer to use a dedicated glass coating as I find them more durable since they are specifically made for that surface.
@ what kind of polish do you recommend and is it applied with a wool pad like you did? Thanks again.
The polish and pad combination should be specific to your experience, condition of the paint, and its hardness. If you haven’t done much polishing, I’d recommend DIY Detail Hold Standard Polish with their yellow waffle pad.
Great info Bruce. What does this product smell like?
Thanks for your question! The PHOBIC Ceramic Coating has no real smell that I recall. It has been a bit since I applied, but I don't recall any strong odor.
@ thanks Bruce
I may be wrong, but shouldn't your description say "These wheels could only be improved WITH the use of acid"? My apologies if I am just misreading it. Regardless, good video showing how some wheels are in need of professional products.
Well, yes - I could have been more clear. My point was I ONLY achieved an improvement with MWC and AWH -they look better-but not anywhere close to what they should have looked like with stronger products. Does it make more sense now?? I truly wish I had some acid on hand.
That wheel needed an acid cleaner.
It absolutely did!
Hpc review😢😢
Haven’t used it yet? You?
@Bruces-Garage nope waiting on reviews to roll in them will order
I’ve got it. Just need to try it out. I plan on comparing different dilutions in tires.
@@Bruces-Garage please try it on the interior as well just to have an idea how the finish compares to ts
@ ok, will do. I’ll do a compare on my dash with TS. Thanks for the suggestion.
I wish this guy explained algebra to me in my math class
I’ll take that as a compliment 😊 - but I’m not into algebra. 😂. Glad the video was helpful.
Ugh. Another Obsessed Garbage/Koch Chemie groupie.
😂
Does KC sell the bottles like that?
Yes they do. I believe you can get them direct or at Car Supplies Warehouse bit.ly/3Ix5DBH
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was led to believe wet vacs don't like foamy products. So I've always used Rug Doctor Carpet Cleaner instead. Not dissing PS as i have it as well.
Ideally you’re correct. Mainly because of the heavy foaming action. But this was pretty limited and seemed to work without issue. I don’t use the shop vac and RipClean extractor often, so I wasn’t too worried. I don’t think it can hurt anything, but heavy foaming products can be challenging to fully extract.
First!!!!!
Really enjoyable and informative video but why???? Do ALL these so-called professional detailers use sponges even these new posh sponges as we ALL KNOWN THAT SPONGES EVEN POSH SPONGES SCRATCHES THE PAINT WORK that's why we ALL moved away from sponges and moved to microfiber noodle mitts
Thanks for watching! I use a sponge (DIY Legacy) with rinseless wash and I have never experienced any marring of any sort. Proper equipment with proper technique equals a safe wash. Using a microfiber noodle mitt without proper technique can damage your paint. So tools are an important element, but technique matters too.
Fantastic video. Never seen anybody do anything like this before. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Great information.
@@vonwerderc My pleasure. Thank you for watching. I truly appreciate it.
I have moved from ceramic coatings on my cars back to waxes and sealants. 1) With a coating you have to wash your car more frequently to make sure the coating “performs”, which is the opposite of what you might expect. 2) I was much more worried about dings, scratches and etchings because its time consuming to recoat. I would only coat a very expensive car or a garage kept car that doesnt drive very often. For a family work horse that is kept outside its a waste of money. Also people sometimes get coatings because they think they can take their car through an automatic car wash. I tell them to just skip the coating and have the car polishes, whenever they are going to sell it.
@tafl-9198 Protecting your car’s surface with something, like a wax, sealant, or coating is what’s most important and less so which one you choose. They each have advantages and disadvantages. Glad you have something that works for you.
Bruce , the videos are great!
@@MoparMarc426 Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Bruce!
Thank you! Hope you have a wonderful New Year.
Hope you had a great time Bruce.
@@NeilJohn-the-washer thank you - I certainly did! How about you?
@Bruces-Garage absolutely wonderful time, thanks.
Boss, thank you for bringing this up as this topic isn’t covered enough in the detailing industry.
You’re welcome. Safety is essential. Needs to be discussed more frequently
What’s that pressure washer nozzle holder/rack you’ve got mounted next to the Active? Can you post a link?
clean-garage.com/poka-premium-wall-mount-hanger-for-pressure-washer-rinse-nozzles/
Great tips Bruce. I am DEFINITELY guilty of the last one. I have TONS of things, I like to try and check them out.... Now I might not buy again once I use it up, but I like the experience of trying.... I ususally buy a small bottle of a new thing, then buy the larger size if I really like it...
I’m guilt of that one as well. Thanks very much for watching.
Merry Christmas!! Best looking tree I’ve seen in a while.
@@ChiGalKMcAcura 🤩 Thanks - my wife made it for me 🎄😊🥰
HI MR. BRUCE THIS IS JLYNN's. DAD I'M HAPPY TO BE FOLLOWING YOU. You're A GREAT COMMUNICATOR. I AM ALWAYS INTERESTED in AUTOMOBILE CARE FOR MY 2015 GMC SIERRA ( Famously known as BIG RED). I Have a metal cabinet just for my truck
Hi!! That’s so cool - thanks for watching. If I ever can help, just reach out or tell J’lynn to call me. Have her send me a pic of Big Red 😎 Merry Christmas
This is something the community is missing, or maybe the algorithm just doesn't send me videos like this. I actually Subscribed and found this myself. Thank you for proving that detailing isn't just buying the right products and learning the proper applications. Detailing is a passion for a lot of us and you've just given proof.
❤️ Wow, thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and I hope you enjoy my channel and we can share the passion as a community.
@@Bruces-Garage Everything you're doing is inspiring to me. Your video are very honest and informative and that's all anyone can ask for and that pushes me to learn as much as possible.
Thank you. This means a lot to me. 👍🏻
@@Bruces-Garage Merry Christmas Bruce!
Thanks, you too 🎄
Nice vid, Bruce. Have you worked out the cost per wash rather than the cost per ounce? In other words, do you use two ounces of product across the board?
Hi. No, I did not since I was attempting to compare the exact same amount of product. I might take a look at that in a future video where I look at ideal foam amount, but that is so subjective.
Merry Christmas bruce
Thank you! 🎄
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Mr. Bruce! Looking forward to your 2025 upcoming detailing videos!
Thanks 👍Hope you have a great Christmas and New Year!
My favorite car shampoo is still Adam's mega foam, not just for the foam but for it's super slickness.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve never tried any of Adams’ products, but g,ad it works!
Adam's had crazy sales for black friday, as a DIYer without a garage I'm not getting much done in the Central New York wintertime but I'm set for summer. You usually get at least 4xs when you buy a concentrated gallon.
Great deal!!
Merry Christmas Señor Bruce!
Gracias
It's funny because when we were kids and would get a new nintendo game I was the brother bitching to read the directions before we played.
@@SkyVega-lp7rq My kids refuse to read directions to video games and they always beat me bad! 🧐
Merry Christmas sir to you and yours!
Thank you!
I have never taken care of my vehicles in the past. I bought a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas and want to detail it. So I bought a DA polisher, $400+ worth of products at 90% at Advanced Auto, foam cannon, pressure washer and most everything else needed you can think of. I'm going to get a VW hood the same color to practice correction. Am I taking the right path to detailing? Any advice for an enthusiasts?
Go for it! Practice is great. Watch videos. And let me know if you have specific questions
I was considering these but it seems like you could just wipe the printing off with lacquer thinner or something. Will it wipe off?
If the printing disappears, just tell everyone it’s a minimalist design! But in all seriousness, they should hold up pretty well against everyday use. I've never tried lacquer thinner - that might even destroy the insulation too. So far, mine are holding up well.
I’m a Milwaukee guy myself I recently used the rotary and I didn’t like it as much because of the battery placement that was annoying. Wish it was side mount like the DA
Interesting. I haven't used it enough to have an opinion quite yet, but I'll pay attention to that to see if it bothers me. Appreciate you sharing your experience. May be time for the new DIY Detail polisher. . .(when it's released). . .but I don't like the thought of another battery system. Yvan did mention you can get adapters, but not sure how that impacts weight balance.
That’s a great idea and I happen to have that exact flash light 😂 thanks for the tip!
Happy to help! Enjoy.
Interesting. I'll be watching for the review and demonstration of the two new products Mr. Bruce.
Perfection it’s overrated
