    Great demonstration, Bruce! That Darkside really held on there. One tip with those solvent based dressings would be to attack solvent with solvent. Something like Stoners Tar Remover would remove the dressing in one hit and the. you would only need 2-3 hits of tire cleaner for a perfectly clean tire😊
    Now that GHOST is applied you won’t have to worry about browning as GHOST actually seals the tire. Just light cleaners or soaps to clean and it will stay fresh for many months. Enjoy!

      Hey ADS, How does this new Ghost product compare to the Tire+ that yall have had for a while now? Would appreciate an answer, as I'm just a little confused if they are both water-based (unless I'm wrong there).

      @@cryptid946 one is a dressing; one is a sealant. 2-3 weeks durability, versus 2-3 months. Like comparing a spray wax to a sealant. Both work, one needs to be applied more often.

    I'm not a professional detailer, but Yvan over at DIY Detailing is, and he says NOT to remove all the browning from the tire, if you do you're actually damaging the tire. I have only used DIY and Hybrid Solutions products, but really want to try some Armour Detail Products. That left a really nice sheen to the tire. I think this is the 1st video I've seen of yours and you earned a like and sub.

    • @Bruces-Garage

      Wow, thank you for subscribing. I’ll do my best to meet your expectations. Yvan does say that and honestly it’s possible he is correct along with Armour Detail Supply. ADS (and other vendors) states that you must remove old dressings and browning (until foam cleaner no longer turns brown) before applying the new sealant. I always try to follow the manufacturer recommendations when I’m showing or testing a new product.

      @@catguy64 i think hes referring to the idea of overcleaning and removing the oils that preserve the tire from the factory, vs a light cleaning to remove dirt and oils. I used to really get into, trying to get to the bottom of “tire bloom” and proper tire care. Ive pretty much sat at just clean em up, and dress em, then drive and wear out the tread.

    Hey Bruce! Always love your videos! Man if anything you sold me on that carpro dark side! It really clung on there and i enjoy the wet look. Not to impressed with the cleaning power on the cleaner but would love to hear your thoughts on the longevity of this new product. I feel it acts like a regular dressing and not sure why I'd pick this over a more cost effective dressing but I'm running to add darkside to my cart asap! 🎉🎉

    • @Bruces-Garage
      @Bruces-Garage  3 місяці тому +1

      @@SoCleenDetailing Thank you. I’m not the best person to test longevity on my personal car as it gets limited use, but GHOST was easy to apply and not a thick gel like Darkside. However, I do think Darkside has some solid longevity. I expect GHOST to rival it (solely based on ADS’ reputation). Time will tell.

    • @armourdetailsupply
      @armourdetailsupply 3 місяці тому +3

      @@SoCleenDetailing Tire Cleaner certainly won’t remove a solvent nano sealant easy.. no cleaner will. Solvents needs to be fought with solvent for an efficient removal. GHOST isn’t a tire dressing at all. It’s a true rubber nano sealant that forms a flexible membrane over the rubber surface.👍🏻

      Yes, GHOST actually forms a cured flexible membrane. Unlike these solvent type dressings that just leave a very durable silicone layer. A quick rinse ensures your applicator can be used time and time again.

    Hello, what makes Ghost different that’s Tire+?

    • @Bruces-Garage
      @Bruces-Garage  2 місяці тому

      GHOST is a longer term sealant that provides up to 3 months of durability. Tire+ is a short term dressing. The chemical makeup allows GHOST to be significantly more durable. But both will make the tires look great!

    Great video Bruce! I like the sprayable tire dressing like this. With aggressive offroad tires, I apply using a flag tip brush. You need to spray it into the bristles. The gels and non-sprayables don't work well with a brush application.

      @Bruces-Garage If you get an an aggressive tire sometime, give it a try. IMO, you want a brush that's stiffness is in-between a wheel face brush and a tire brush. The brush will get into the thicker treads.

    Doesn't look that uniform of an application but that's probably because you didn't clean the old dressing off well enough.
    It would be great to see this product on a tire that hasn't been doused with solvent dressing prior.
