If you use this tool you will introduce air into the ac system. This is not a proper way to do this repair unless you have a way to vacuum out the air after you install the NEW SCHRADER valve into the tools. NO AIR SHOULD BE ALLOWED IN THE AC SYTEM PERIOD THATS WHY ITS A SEALED SYSTEM. IF YOU DISAGREE EVERYSHOP IN THE WORLD WOULD HAVE THIS FYI YOU MIGHT NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW A AC SYSTEM WORKS.

Just put the ⅜" adapter for regular ⅜" sockets in the large Craftsman ratchet and add as many ⅜" extension (of any length) that you need.

You can replace the high side port. You don't have to replace the whole thing. And when you replace it you can either get it with the rubber bladder or with a schrader value.

FYI... it won't always turn as yellow as in this video. I did it and it turned greenish. So be aware. And yes I tested it on the exhaust pipe and got the EXACT same results.

Since 1/2 inch ratchet can also open smaller nuts, would it be better compared to 1/4 inch ratchet, assuming 1/2 can provide more torque?

At 8.52 with what name is it sold? I need one to do bolts on fitting stands for solar panels where there is a tight spot, i.e. the bolts are nestled between a iron tube such that there is snall opening from the top and there is no way to drive the manual wrench key due to the nature of the stand. However there may not be enough space for the ratchet index head to get to the tight spot

The Exhaust tail pipe test is not accurate because gas is a coming out of it tried it on my four wheeler lawnmower and it turned color . In the test and they do not have coolant

What about with a Prius. I feel like it has such a strong pressurization at the reservoir that the bulb won’t allow you to get any exhaust up into it lol

What if it tests ok but you still get a sweet smell from exhaust on start up?

The instructions worked great; I used carriage bolt, flat washer, lock washer, nut, then nylon nut. Should stay in place and be easy enough to pull when I need to replace it.

Just did this today with 12 oz can and a hose. Got my A/C outlet temp down to 36 degrees F which is damn cold!

Hey man just wanted to say thanks for this simple and helpful video. I needed my headlight bulb connector changed and I called a couple mechanics and they told me they were weeks out plus it was going to cost over $100 at least to fix. I believe I can harbor freight one of those, but the batteries fully charged it even reads it on my multimeter, but nothing comes out of the cables. It is missing the charging port USB charger port, but that shouldn’t do anything. Does I still keep it charged just pull it out and put my other little battery charger that I got in charge the battery and keep it charged but I don’t get anything out of the cables.

I used a combustion leak detector that turned yellow. My radiator is leaking from the actual radiator. Can this create a false positive?

this is quite possibly the most thorough instructional (which covers most of the small details which others omit) that i have ever watched. for the average garage mechanic (who only has the short hose/gauge), pay attention to every bit of this video.

If it does turn yellow, how do u know if its the gasket, block or cracked head? My car is spitting coolant out the reservoir and boiling. Plus the oil filler cap has a milkshake looking substance on the bottom.
