People, do NOT give your money to, or trust, any of these big so-called Christian organizations. The Lord is bringing all these things to light. Thank you to the young lady in this video willing to give her testimony. Nothing excuses these men. They are the ones with a lustful spirit.

This is just disgusting how he is twisting scripture! The witness is to confirm that you went to your brother and confronted them with their offense. So many times, there are no eyewitnesses to crimes and offenses committed. The idea is to give the offender a chance to repent and if they don't, then appropriate action is taken.

The way this was handled is exactly like group sexual abuse methods- silence the victims, tell them you can't talk about this, and then turn it back on them to make them look like they are the guilty one! It's so disgusting!

Unfortunately, this has been going on for a long long time. It happened to me to a certain degree in a Vineyard church over 30 years ago. I'm in my mid-60s, I was in my early 30s then. A married pastor and I got involved. I'm not saying I was innocent, but there was definitely some SA going on. He should never have been alone with me at any point. And he was. This is a huge rule that should not be broken for any reason in any church, and would prevent a lot of SA.

You nailed it! I've been badly maligned by 3 different churches who teach the nonsense that comes from these kinds of men. We need to STOP being intimidated by men who are filled with delusions and arrogance, who project their own evil on their victims, the flies and wolves and rebellious witches he says we are. He heaps judgment on his own head with every word. How dare we question them? Well okay, then. What I did was took it to God and presented my case as in a courtroom. After a minister refused accountability for his liars in leadership, he sharply "rebuked" me. He then preached a sermon about the Jezebel spirit, looking at me the whole time, while others in his inner circle would turn around and sneer at me. In front of the whole church. He never denied they were lying, but like Ricky here, there's always a cover story for them.That's demonic manipulation by a Jezebel spirit, if such a thing actually exists. I prayed for exposure, overturning and for people's eyes to be opened. That minister is no longer in my state (Another thing I asked for.) And the minister of the second church is also gone from that church. Let Rick go on bragging how high and mighty he thinks he is, 'cause it's gonna hurt when he falls. And...let it hurt. It's pretty inappropriate to assert that something had to be off at home for Erickson to be a predator. Just as it's inappropriate to hold the sons responsible for the sins of the father, it's not appropriate to hold the fathers responsible for the sins of the son. In both cases, the exception would be the presence of evidence that suggests some causal link. I understand that it makes it easier to feel like it makes sense, but we should stick to facts rather than innuendo. It seems to me that the leadership did not apologize to the girls who were abused, in case they filed lawsuits. The apology would likely be taken as an admission of guilt in a court of law. Guilt and shame was put on the girls to make them feel like they were at fault and intimidate them into not testifying against the abusers, as they would likely be painted in court as a seductress.

I am shocked that a minister advised a young woman to marry a man with a serious addiction to lust and pedophilia, putting the burden on her for his salvation and deliverance, which only Jesus could bear, as well as risking her health and sanity, and the safety of her children, if she married that man. It's right up there with what a friend told me about a man she married on her pastor's advice. He wasn't a Christian, though he attended church, and the pastor knew it. He said she should marry him because she was probably the only one who could bring him to Jesus. When she went back later to tell the pastor that her husband was beating her, he said she should stay with him, even if he kills her. Never before now have I heard of a case equivalent to this of a pastor giving someone advice that is absolutely evil.

Love covers a multitude of sins. I think that refers to the Blood of Jesus. I no longer think it means being quiet about abuse as a sign that we've forgiven. We may have forgiven and been healed, but others are still stuck in the muck of anger and resentment, and may need to hear our journey of where we've been and found our way to freedom from bitterness. My ex-husband was an alcoholic and his character steadily declined as his addiction accelerated. He beat me up only once, and I gave him an ultimatum, to go to AA or leave. He chose to leave and I was devastated that our marriage was over. We didn't quite make it to our 10th anniversary. That was in 1986. I had a nervous breakdown before that date and was in a psych ward for 6 days. I had been backslidden, but recommitted my life to the Lord. I wanted my marriage to be saved and thought I shouldn't say anything negative anymore about my husband. However, when I was in the hospital and was taken to the psychiatrist, I had a blackout, told him about the beating, and had no memory afterwards of talking to that doctor, or even meeting him. My husband had been putting on a show of being the concerned ex-husband of his mentally-ill wife. Once the nurses knew he had beaten me, though, they refused to tell him anything about my condition and gave him the cold shoulder. He was very embarrassed. When his mother visited and I said I still loved him, she said, "How can you say you love him, but you told them that he beat you up?" I protested, "But I didn't even know I told them." It didn't matter. I had besmirched the reputation of her beloved son. Mind you, he was doing a good job of that himself with his drinking and adultery, but her church friends didn't know about that. The psychiatrist's conclusion was that I had the nervous breakdown because of the stress of living with an alcoholic for ten years. I am thankful for counselling I have received both from Christian psychologists and non-Christian psychologists. God blessed me with really good ones, and they all helped me heal. I also have read books about controllers, pleasers, co-dependents, enablers, and assertiveness. Lots of books. The Pleasers: Women Who Can't Say No and the Men Who Control Them by Dr. Kevin Leman was hugely, significantly liberating.

No wonder Joyner adamantly defended Bickle's sins. Joyner was already pushing the same nonsense in his own so called ministry. So Leah was designated as the sacrificial lamb to save the job of a man who was addicted to evil. That place's theology is in the toilet. Unscriptural.

I am so sorry you girls went through this, my heart is breaking and this explains so much now. I wish I would have known, maybe I could have done something, maybe not, but I sure would have tried.
