Finishing the Supercharged 392 Hemi 1955 Desoto
In this episode on the supercharged 392 Hemi 1955 Desoto we try to iron out all the remaining bugs in the engine. We finally find out what the issues were, and we finally get the motor to not only start to run perfectly but create some of the power that it has been missing. We change spark plugs , attach different air cleaners , do some vacuum testing on the carby's and adjust the air/fuel ratios by using a vacuum gauge, then adjust the timing and discover that we have a looked out distributer and the timing is way out once that is adjusted the 392 comes alive and starts to run perfectly, then it gets some fresh oil and the motor is finished and ready to roll. We also turn our attention to the body and sand down the clear coat to remove any trash or peel that is in the paint then polish it to make it look like a mirror, this once disastrous paint has now been fully transformed into a jaw dropping showstopper. Also, in the video we take a quick look at where we are at with the Bedford HOTWHEELS $2K budget build and that it is coming back to the channel very soon to be completed and have a sneak peek at an upcoming build that is in the process of getting the parts etc purchased ready to start building. The Desoto is now finished for now and ready to enjoy and start using on a regular basis. In the first few days after the video was filmed it was taken on a 7-hour cruise and had to forgo country high speed driving and stop and go traffic jam driving and it did not miss a beat.
